Imagine that itis time for your yearlycleaning so you call your dentist. You arrive at the dental office on-timeand are instructed to wait in the lobby. You quickly realize that 30 minutes has passed and you are not going to be seen anytime soon. Your doctor and their office doesnt respect your time. When you finally are moved to the dental room its clear the doctor has NO CLUE who you are or how long you have been waiting. So heres my question: how long before you start looking for a new dentist?
Dr Makani earned her bachelors degree from The University of Texas at Austin in 2002. She then attended dental School at Boston University. Dr Makani moved back to Texas and has been working in Houston since 2009. She loves working on children and prides herself in her patience and attention to detail. Dr Makani volunteers her time doing dental screenings at local schools and health fairs. She is also actively involved in spreading oral health awareness. Dr Makani has two beautiful children and enjoys spending her free time with family and friends. Her hobbies include reading, cycling and traveling. Dr Makanis attention to detail and perfectionist personality make her dedication to patients unparalleled.
Dr Sabbahi earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin in 2002. She graduated from University of of Texas Dental Branch in Houston in 2008 where she was actively involved in ASDA, the student run dental Association. Dr Sabbahi then went on to complete a general practice residency at Harvard Dental School/Cambridge Health Alliance in Boston Massachusetts. While in Boston, she had the opportunity to work with many prestigious faculty mentors at the faculty center and also at a community clinic in Cambridge. As a native of Houston, she returned to her home town and has been working here since 2009. Dr Sabbahi is actively involved in her community and dedicates her time to community clinics and health fairs around town. She has done several mission trips where she provides free dental care nationally and abroad. She recently traveled to Haiti for a week and was part of a team of doctors that worked in Miragoane, Haiti where they saw over 450 patients providing emergency dental care to local villagers. In her free time, Dr Sabbahi enjoys traveling and cycling. She has completed the MS150 several times and enjoys riding to raise money for the advancement of research in multiple sclerosis.
Dr. Liza Shevchenko prepared for her career through studies at the University of Houston pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and graduated with honors. Dr. Shevchenko then received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from The University of Texas Dental School in Houston. She received this degree with honor at the top of her class and was recognized as an outstanding graduate. Earning scholastic awards both in achievement and research, she was accepted into an orthodontic residency at the University of Texas Dental School where she graduated and earned her Master of Science degree and certificate in Orthodontics. Dr. Shevchenko later completed a rigorous examination to become a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, the highest level of attainment in education, evaluation, excellence, and ethics. This accomplishment reflects her dedication to continuing education and professional excellence. Sharing a passion for dentistry, Dr. Shevchenko and her husband are both Doctors in Dentistry. When she is not practicing orthodontics, Dr. Shevchenko loves spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoys traveling around the world and learning about different cultures. Dr. Shevchenko, is a specialist that is focused on delivering high quality treatment following the highest standards of patient care using the latest in cutting edge technology. By being responsive to your needs and helping you understand your treatment, she hopes to establish a long and mutually rewarding relationship.
