Dr. Carlos Medina graduated from the University of Puerto Rico in 2001 and moved to Florida to achieve his dream of owning his own dental practice. He acquired Deland Dental in December of 2002 and has been providing his excellent dental services to the residents of Deland and Volusia county ever since.Dr. Medina performs all general dentistry procedures but finds cosmetic and surgical procedures to be his most rewarding work. He received his Dental Implant certification in 2007 and has placed hundreds of implants successfully to date. He received his Invisalign certification in 2007 and has helped many patients improve their beautiful smiles with perfectly straight teeth. Dr. Medina has been Cerec (same-day crown) certified since 2007 and has been making many hundreds of crowns for happy and satisfied patients.Dr. Medina has many interests he enjoys doing in his free time. As an avid skydiver, he bought the practice in 2002 originally for its proximity to the Deland drop zone and enjoyed skydiving during his lunch breaks. In 2007, he won the Sportsman Division of the Skip Barber Regional Championship along with the Rookie of the Year during the Skip Barber racing series.He enjoys visiting Utah during the winter seasons where he is an expert-level snowboarder and has even gone heli-snowboarding on Cardiac Ridge. Dr. Medina most recently fulfilled his lifelong dream to become a pilot and obtained his private pilots certification in July of 2013.

I've spent a lot of time, money and trouble visiting dozens of dentists over a life time, having enough good and bad experiences with cleanings and extensive work to make a fair assessment of a place. In this case, my first visit was only for an exam, x-rays, and cleaning, so my review is limited to this experience. The office itself is not only located in a convenient place for Lady Lake Villagers in golf carts, but is impressively attractive and pleasant inside, with this being supplemented by an extraordinary lake view from each of the dentist chairs. From making an appointment and asking numerous questions on the phone to checkin, Tiffany at the front desk was exceedingly helpful and friendly. Assistant Jackie continued the trend with her x-rays, and Dr. Medina the same with his exam. Hygienist Myrna did a meticulous cleaning of my teeth that took nearly an hour - a top notch, thorough job I appreciated. Despite using a paper coupon for an initial visit that gave me some free services, I got treated like a VIP here with no pressure to do additional work. I can't judge the level of restorative dentistry being done here, but my first impression was all positive. It's a really nice, comfortable place with a great staff that I'd be quick to recommend for others.

The most unprofessional dentist I have ever had price was more then double what i actually paid elsewhere wanted $100 to transfer x Ray's. WOULD NEVER A reccomend to anyone.

I am 78 years old so have been to a few dentist, I have to say dr medina is one of the best,very informative and friendly.I would recomend him highly, in fact trying to get my wife who dosent like going to a dentist to go see dr medina.

I went in for an exam this morning. The personable staff, along with a top-notch, beautiful facility makes you want to go to The Dentist. I have an appointment for a cleaning later this afternoon! Highly recommend.

I brought my daughter in to see Dr. Medina after her front tooth got knocked out while roller skating. She was so nervous and Dr. Medina did a great job keeping her calm. He initially tried fixing it with a filling but that didn't work. He then did a same day permanent crown and it looks amazing and so natural! He even added white spots on it to resemble her other front tooth!

I had a cleaning with Myrna and it was the best I ever had! She constantly checked on me to make sure I was comfortable and in no pain. She showed me how to properly floss to make sure I do not get cavity's in between my teeth. She is an amazing hygienist and I will be returning to her!
