Dr. Glenn Shulkin is President of The Dental Store, Ltd. Dr. Glenn was born and raised in Chicago and its northern suburbs. He currently resides in Buffalo Grove with his wife, Janice and their son, Bradley and daughter, Amanda. Dr. Glenn is the eldest child of Dr. Neil Shulkin, founder of The Dental Store.
Dr. Glenn was one of the first American dentists to be formally trained, and to be certified, as a trainer in the use of YAG laser. He has presented seminars and training on laser technology and implementation at The Dental Store to hundreds of dentists, and has lectured at universities, professional, business and community groups. The Dental Store was the first dental practice in the U.S. to utilize the Nd:YAG laser following FDA approval.
He received his Bachelor and Doctorate Degrees in dental surgery from the University of Illinois College of Dentistry, after attending Indiana University majoring in Chemistry. He also served as an assistant at two major dental laboratories in the Chicago area, Major-Monroe Dental Laboratory and Summit Dental Laboratory.
Dr. Shulkin was charter member of the Board of Directors and a member of the Finance Committee of the International Academy of Laser Dentistry (1990). He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Laser Dentistry, a member of the American Society of Lasers in Medicine & Surgery, the American Dental Association, the Chicago Dental Society, the Illinois State Dental Society, Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity, the International Society of Laser Dentistry, the American Academy of Dental Group Practice, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Greater OHare Association, and a graduate of the Dale Carnegie Institute. He has earned hundreds of hours of continuing education.
Dr. Glenn Shulkin is co-author (with Dr. Neil Shulkin) of a textbook titled, Professionally Speaking: A Marketing and Management Handbook for Dental and Medical Professionals, which is now in national distribution. He has appeared on several television programs, including WCIU-TV, American Medical TV, and the American Airlines TV. He has also been the subject of several newspaper reports internationally.
Dr. Elizabeth Cohn is Vice-President of The Dental Store, Ltd. Dr Beth currently resides in Chicago, Illinois. She was born and raised in Northbrook, Illinois and attended the University of Illinois at Champaign for her pre-dental studies, and received her Bachelors of Dentistry Degree and her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree at the University of Illinois College of Dentistry in Chicago. She graduated in the Honors Program at UIC and was nominated to the national dental honor society. She received an Award for Clinical Excellence from the American Equilibration Society.
Dr. Beth is a member of the American Dental Association, the Chicago Dental Society, the Illinois State Dental Society, the American Association of Women Dentists, the American Academy of Dental Group Practice, the Academy of General Dentistry, Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity, and others. She has received special training in laser dentistry and air abrasive technology.

I found the Dental Store after my long time dentist retired. I started seeing Dr. Shulkin in May 2022. I would like to thank him for his excellent dental care. He is knowledgeable, professional and personable. Also, I appreciate his understanding of technology and how it can be used to effectively diagnosis problem areas. He and Tammy, his dental hygienist, make a great team! Their efforts to make me feel comfortable and looked after is much appreciated! I would also like to thank Marilyn in the front office. She knows all things insurance and appointment scheduling. You three are a pleasure to know! Thanks again!

Nobody loves going to the dentist, but you don't have to dread it here. They treat you like family (really) and include you in every detail of your treatment. There are multiple professionals in all disciplines 6 days a week and appointments for most needs on Sunday. My entire family is part of the family at The Dental Store and we have never had a negative experience, even when we visit for relief from painful problems. They gently and compassionately care for us. When it might seem that we have neglected to properly tend to our own responsibilities in self-care, there is never a lecture.

An emergency root canal turned to the most uncomfortable and rude dental experience. They complete services without knowledge or explanation then expect you to pay for it. The Dentist sarcasm doesn't help you relax in an already stressful situation. And with working in the medical billing field for 10 years, I know my rights as a patient and they tried telling me otherwise. I'm glad I'm done with that place and don't have to go back. HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED!!

Everyone at this place really CARES about your dental health. I had a VERY bad tooth on the verge of losing it... and they were able to save it! And it looks AMAZING! The procedure was very thorough and they teach you how to take better care of your overall dental health. I will most definitely be coming back! Seriously. Give this place a chance if you're looking for a new dentist!

The Dental Store was amazing! They were able to accommodate an emergency visit for my husband ...took care of his issue and he felt SO much better when we left! They accepted our insurance and the amount out of pocket was minimal! Super friendly staff all the way from front desk to assistants to dentist!

Communication is great and scheduling flexible. They took care of the main issues I was having right away and scheduled for re evaluation at my convenience. Everyone was really nice and the Dr. was quick, funny, and made me feel comfortable.
