Many years ago, Dr. Snapir worked in a photo printing shop. During these days, hed often get a chance to talk with doctors and surgeons who came in with educational samples of their work. These encounters were what first sparked his dream of becoming a doctor!

As his passion for medicine grew over time, Dr. Snapir began to explore possible career options based on where society had the greatest needs. This line of thinking led him to dentistry, and its not hard to understand why. Oral health gets overlooked all too often, but many people avoid dental care altogether because of anxiety and fear. This can lead to serious health problems that affect not just the teeth, but the entire body. By becoming a dentist, he knew that he could serve as the first line of defense for his patients, helping them not only alleviate long-term problems, but also prevent disease from ever taking root in the first place.

Dr. Snapir attended UCLA for his dental doctorate. Since then, he has eagerly pursued continuing education in a number of facets of dentistry, including dental implants, orthodontics, and full mouth rehabilitation. By expanding his clinical skillset, hes been able to develop comprehensive approaches to dental problems that involve multi-specialty solutions and treatments.

Away from work, Dr. Snapir has a beautiful family that includes his amazing wife and two children. They inspire him to wake up every morning with boundless energy! In his spare time, you can often find him exercising, reading, traveling, trying new foods, or playing with his kids.

Dental implants are prosthetic tooth replacements that restore both the crown portion that becomes part of your natural smile and the root that was previously lost. This root portion extends into the bone tissue and is essential for protecting many long-term functions of your tooth. Dental implants work to restore these functions, including bone stimulation and blood flow. To replace your tooth, our dental office makes use of premium implant systems, highly regarded as one of the best tooth replacement options you can receive.

The dental implant surgery step is actually quite straightforward but does require minor oral surgery. As a board-certified prosthodontist, Dr. Sastiel will administer local anesthesia before making one or more small incisions in your gums to expose your underlying jawbone. Placing each titanium post, he will ensure it is properly aligned and offers the maximum amount of support. After closing the gum tissue, he will place a healing cap over the area before sending you home to recover.

While at home recovering, which can take anywhere from 3-6 months depending on your oral and overall health, as well as how many dental implants in Los Angeles were put into place, osseointegration will begin to occur. This is the process of the bone and implant fusing to create a solid fixture for your customized restoration. Once you are fully healed from your surgery, you will return to have another minor procedure that involves placing metal abutments on top of your dental implants. These will serve as connector pieces between the implant and restoration.

The final stage of the dental implant process is receiving your customized restoration. Once your implants are in place, impressions are taken so a dental crown, implant bridge, or implant denture can be created. Using the specifications provided by our team, you can expect your restoration to look completely natural and feel comfortable once put into place. The securing of your artificial teeth is the final step in the process, allowing you to embrace a new and improved smile that will last you for decades as long as you take proper care of your new teeth.

The titanium post that integrates with your bone tissue is biocompatible with your organic structures. This means it will effectively bond and fuse with your tissue, ensuring that it remains stable for decades to come and improve the biting strength of your jaw. This means chewing tough or hard foods feels as natural as it did when you had your natural tooth. Blood flow is also restored following your treatment, which directly influences your facial elasticity and prevents premature sagging. These are only a few of the most notable benefits you can expect from dental implants.

A single titanium implant is placed into the jaw, then given several months of time to heal. From there, an abutment is placed, which is a small connector designed to provide stability to the permanent restoration. Finally, a crown is placed on top. This crown is always made from high-quality porcelain for the best aesthetics possible.

One of the other benefits of dental implants is the fact that they do not require removal of existing teeth just for them to be supported (like dental bridges.) This means single teeth as well as multiple consecutive teeth can be held entirely with implant posts. In most cases, at least two implants are enough to hold two or more crowns fused together.

Just because youre missing all the teeth in your smile doesnt mean that dental implants cant get the job done. Whether you choose a traditional implant-retained denture or full mouth dental implant procedure, which utilizes four to six implants to hold an entire arch of replacement teeth, well be ready to explain each phase of treatment in great detail, answer all your questions, and ensure your future smile looks and feels natural in every single way.

As we go over your dental implant treatment plan in more detail, its important to recognize that not only are you getting one of the best systems out there for replacing teeth, but youre also receiving a treatment that is fully personalized to you. This means that while dental implants are generally more expensive upfront compared to other options, they still remain the most popular and cost-effective because of their longevity, function, and lifelike appearance.

Our 3D Cone Beam Imaging system allows our team to capture a 360-degree view of your oral cavity and facial structures. The bones, gums, teeth, tissues, and nerves are visible thanks to the high-resolution images taken during the quick scan. Within minutes, a three-dimension model of your oral cavity will appear on a nearby screen, allowing your implant dentist in Los Angeles to use advanced software to create a thorough plan for your dental implant placement.

When its time to capture impressions of your smile, our team at OraBell Dental Implant Centers no longer uses cold, messy dental putty. Instead, we turn to our digital impression system. With a handheld, pen-like device, we can quickly scan your mouth while the device snaps various pictures to create a 3D model nearby. This serves as a blueprint, making it easier for dental technicians to craft your customized restoration (i.e., crown, bridge, or denture) so it will fit correctly and comfortably when put into place over the top of your dental implants in Los Angeles.

No. Once dental implants have integrated with your jawbone, they cannot easily be removed, as they are as firmly bonded to your jaw as the roots of natural teeth. The restorations on top of your implants, however, can be removed by a dentist if need be. In some cases, implant dentures can be designed so that you can take the prosthetic out yourself for cleaning while the implant posts remain in your jawbone.

In the hands of an experienced professional such as our board-certified periodontist, Dr. Sastiel dental implants in Los Angeles have an over 95 percent success rate! Of course, their longevity depends on how well you take care of them. For the most part, keeping dental implants in good condition is simple if you brush and floss every day and visit our dental office for two checkups and cleanings a year.

Getting dental implants involves oral surgery, which understandably makes some patients fear that the procedure will hurt. In actuality, though, you should barely feel anything during dental implant placement. Our team will make sure youre comfortable and numb with local anesthetic and sedation before beginning. You may experience some residual soreness for a few days after your surgery, but taking over-the-counter pain relievers as needed should be more than enough to manage it.

Most patients only need to take a day or two away from their usual routines to heal after dental implant surgery. However, you should avoid strenuous physical activity for about a week. Otherwise, your body may take longer to heal. Any swelling and bleeding should subside after a couple of days, as should any general discomfort.

Dental implants offer top-notch tooth replacement that you can count on for decades to come. In fact, most patients can easily expect to enjoy their dental implants for a lifetime with the right care! Fortunately, maintaining and caring for your dental implant is as easy as taking care of a natural tooth. Read on as we go over the five best practices to keep your newly rebuilt smile looking and feeling its best for a lifetime.

The Dental Smile Center - General dentist in Van Nuys, CA

Flossing daily and brushing for two minutes twice a day is essential for a healthy smile whether you have dental implants or not! While dental implants cannot get cavities, they rely on healthy gum tissue for support. Poor oral hygiene often leads to gum disease, which damages the gums and supportive tissues that help hold your dental implant in place.

The Dental Smile Center - General dentist in Van Nuys, CA

While traditional tooth replacement options only restore about 30% of your chewing force, dental implants can give you 80% or more of your natural biting power! This means you can easily eat steak, nuts, apples, and more, but that doesnt mean you should throw caution to the wind. The restorations atop your dental implants can still chip or crack if exposed to too much pressure, so avoid eating too many overly hard foods or snacks. Instead, eat plenty of foods with calcium and vitamin C to help keep the tissues around your dental implant strong and healthy.

Just as a few healthy habits can help you make the most of your dental implants, a few bad choices can shorten their lifespan. Once you rebuild your smile with dental implants, consider breaking bad habits like:

A mouthguard is an essential piece of safety equipment for practically any athletic activity or sport. Not only will these little devices protect your natural teeth and dental implants from breaking, loosening, or becoming knocked out should you receive a blow to the face, but some studies suggest that they could lower your risk of concussion as well.

You may need to protect your teeth while you sleep as well. Bruxism, a condition where you grind your teeth at night, put excess pressure on your dental implant and natural teeth, which can eventually loosen or damage them. A custom-made nightguard for bruxism can help shield your teeth while you sleep and help relax your jaws.

Whether youve replaced one tooth, several teeth, or an entire arch of pearly whites, you should visit us every six months for routine checkups and cleanings. Well check to make sure your dental implant is doing well and that there are no problems developing. Plus, with a thorough cleaning and personalized preventive care, we will hopefully keep any oral health issues from beginning in the first place!

PLEASE STAY AWAY. They overprice everything and are not to be trusted. I paid over 20k cash with an alleged grant from CDG (Cosmetic Dentistry Grants) where I would receive a complete smile makeover. I told these people my story, I am a young widow with four children. I lost my husband due to covid and one of my children has terminal cancer, I never thought a business that I put my trust and faith in could deceive me. I was never given a receipt with itemized costs as to what procedures would be included to this day. I am so disappointed and dissatisfied with my results. I initially came to The Dental Smile Center before they were known as New U Dental or now OraBell Dental Implant Center. I told Dr. Snapir what I wanted which was Veneers and a complete smile makeover. Instead, Dr. Snapir put braces that were supposed to be covered by the alleged grant. I had the braces on for over a year and to my dismay, I hate my results. They look horrible. From the implants to the crookedness of my teeth, and best of all, there's still work that has not been completed. And to top it off they tried to charge me extra for teeth whitening after I paid so much and was initially told that whitening would be included. I have discolored, crooked, and overall shoddy teeth. PLEASE RUN FROM THIS PLACE. Don't trust the smiling faces, it's all happy, and good when they have your money but to get your money's worth is another story. There's no transparency. I was robbed and I don't have enough money to fix this mess. I have no reason to smile.

Went to Dr. Snapir in his new guise as part of U Smile. - "care coordinator" Cassandra approached me without a mask, despite staff being "strictly required" to have a mask on at all times - Cassandra then had to ask an assistant for a mask - Cassandra then told me "they don't have the manpower" to send the bill to insurance.; instead I would need to pay up front and the insurance company would reimburse me I walked out. Dr. Snapir, you have a problem to address. - We came to you before the pandemic, and had no issues. - At the start of the pandemic, my wife went to you for emergency care. Your people weren't wearing masks then, and I called you all out on it. - You sold to/joined a franchise that doesn't provide economies of scale for their franchisees? How do they not have a single person dedicated to processing insurance plans, which small dentists do with one or two office staff? - why do your people insist on not wearing masks around patients actually forced to leave their mouths open? Good luck.

I went in for an exam and Dr. Snapir was very sweet and professional. He made me feel comfortable and told he I was in good hands. I then met with Larry and he was extremely thorough in all of the information he shared with me regarding the dental work I needed. He had a great personality and I felt like I was cared for as a patient and not just someone they wanted to get money from. I had my first treatment which was a gingival graft. Dr. Sasteal was the surgeon that did the graft. I trusted him and it took less than an hour from start to finish. Dental Smile Center is a trusted dental center that is honest and they do high quality work. I would definitely recommend.

I recently went to Dr. Snapir when he was highly recommended by my neighbor. I went in for a rework on a root canal done by a different dentist. They had a root canal specialist work on the tooth (Dr. Sam). He did an amazing job I felt very comfortable and was not in any pain. I also had a cleaning done and the dental assistant was very sweet. The office has recently undergone some updates. It is very clean and all the equipment is high tech. The girls at the front desk are friendly. Larry in the finance dept is helpful and hospitable in explaining a plan suitable for you.

I am so impressed by this office. I had a terrible tooth ache and the 2 offices I called before couldn't care less. When I called Dr. Snapir's office, they were so caring and timely. When I came in for my appointment, I was blown away by the protocols they have in place during Covid. I felt so safe and comfortable in the office. Dr. S took amazing care of me. He helped fix my broken tooth. I couldn't even tell it wasn't my natural tooth. The technology is out of this world and to be honest, the price was very reasonable for the amazing finished product. I'm honestly excited to come back for my cleaning and regular check up. Thank you so much to the entire office for your hard work!

This entire office is a delight. I had the misfortune of a broken tooth, and had went to a few dentists until I was comfortable. The reception was welcoming, and then the assistant was great when she took down all my important information and the xray. The Dentist came in and explained various options, and we concluded that the tooth had to be extracted, because we came to the decision together. I had all my options explained, and the pros and cons of each. After thinking about it and realizing removal was the best option, we did so. I was numbed up without much pain, and effortlessly tooth was removed. A few dissolving stitches in and I was good to go. It was a great experience and I highly recommend this place. Thanks Dr. Snapir & staff!
