Jon M. Julian received his Doctor of Dental Science degree from the University of Missouri at Kansas City Dental School in 1978 after doing his undergraduate work at the University of Kansas. A native Kansan, Jon had a dental practice in McPherson, KS until 2011 and then made a big life change by moving to South Carolina to open The Dental Retreat at Mountain Park.

Jons passion for providing excellent dentistry and for forming trusted relationships with his patients motivate him to make The Dental Retreat one of the best dental providers in the South. He and his wife, Karen, are grateful that this change has been so positive, both personally and professionally.

Dr. Julian maintains an active membership in the American Dental Association, South Carolina Dental Association, Academy of Laser Dentistry, International College of Oral Implantologists and Doctors for Oral Conscious Sedation. He lectures extensively on dental implants, CBCT technology and on the use of lasers in dentistry.

Susie resides in Greenville with her partner Scott, two dogs, and two cranky cats. In her spare time, Susie enjoys cooking, gardening, playing the piano, flatwater kayaking, reading, and hiking the beautiful South Carolina trails.

Originally from East Tennessee, Tammy and her husband Kyle moved to the Upstate in the late 90s. Tammy attended Greenville Technical College and has been a registered dental hygienist since 2014. Tammy is passionate about serving patients by educating and helping patients overcome their dental fears. She strives to ensure each patient always feels completely informed and comfortable during their visit, leaving happy.

Tracy is a dental assistant at The Dental Retreat. She is a local, residing near beautiful downtown Greenville. She is married and the mother of two adult children, Sarah and Jesse, and two adult step-children, Katelyn and Courtney. The light of Tracys life is her five flawless grandchildren ranging in ages of 1 week to 10 years! Tracy has been assisting in the dental field for seven years. She was a medical assistant for four years prior to joining dentistry. Much of Tracys experience in the medical office translates to the dental field, making her a valued part of the practice. She has become proficient in the areas of chairside assisting, dental radiography, lab work and various techniques that are crucial to a dental practice. Tracy has come to love dentistry in this practice because of the variety of procedures we have to offer! When Tracy is not at the office, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, hiking, biking, camping and road trips without a map!

Originally from Nebraska, The Upstate has been home to Lisa and her family for almost two years. Lisa is a Dental Assistant at The Dental Retreat. She joins our team with almost 20 years of dental assisting experience. Lisa enjoys working in an office with a wide variety of procedures. She looks forward to ensuring that patients have the best dental experience possible.

Kayla works as a Dental Assistantat The Dental Retreat. She has been an assistantin the dental field for 10 years, 8 of which have been spent at The Dental Retreat. Kayla graduated from the Dental Assisting program at Greenville Technical College as an Expanded Duty Dental Assistant. Her interest in dentistry started as she would help her older sister study in her dental program, and her passion has been evolving since. Kaylas favorite part about dentistry is the ability to educate patients about the importance of their dental health as well as helping them to achieve healthy beautiful smiles.

Kayla is a native of Greer, SC. Her favorite pastimes are spending time withher beautifuldaughter and husband playing games, going on a hike, or taking a trip to the lake. She also enjoys playing music with her family and friends.

Sharda has been with The Dental Retreat as part of the Front Office team since 2018. Sharda is originally from India but moved to the U.S. in 1988. She has been working in accounting for over 30 years. Her favorite part about working at The Dental Retreat is interacting with patients and listening to patients stories.Seeing them depart with a smile on their face makes every day unique and worthwhile. When Sharda is not working, she enjoys cooking, reading, spending time with her family and friends, and traveling.

Lisa is a front office team member for The Dental Retreat. She was born and raised here in the upstate. She has worked in the dental field for nearly 25 years. She graduated from the dental assisting program at Greenville Technical College in 1994 and was certified by the national dental assisting board. Lisa enjoys interacting with patients and makes every effort to meet their scheduling needs as well as answer questions that they may have. She spends her free time with family and you can often find her in the mountains of Tennessee at her and her husbands mountain home.
