Dr. Smith graduated Summa Cum Laude from Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine and was also inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society. Dr. Smith grew up in Hudson, Massachusetts, where she graduated from Hudson High School. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Providence College. During her time at Providence College, Dr. Smith received an All-Academic award while playing Division I Womens Ice Hockey. Prior to beginning dental school, Dr. Smith completed her Master of Arts degree in Biomedical Science from Boston University.

Dr. Smith is a certified member of the American Dental Association as well as the Massachusetts Dental Society and Worcester District Dental Society. Dr. Smith attends continuing education events to keep her skills up to date. She is an active member of the Spear Study Club which is an interdisciplinary collaboration of dental professionals who, like Dr. Smith, want to provide the very best care for their patients by sharing experiences and learning about the newest innovations in dentistry.

Dr. Rodman Shale is a 1984 graduate from Boston Universitys Henry M. Goldman School of Graduate Dentistry. He immediately entered private practice but maintained his academic affiliation to Boston University as an assistant clinical professor of Oral diagnosis and radiology. He has been involved with BUs APEX dental student mentoring program since its inception in 1990.

Dr. Shale has always been dedicated to providing his patients with the most current state-of-the-art care available. His gentle touch, congenial personality, and sense of humor will make your visit to his office a most pleasant experience.

Dr. Shale and his wife have lived in Newton for 30 years where they raised their three children. When Dr. Shale is not creating beautiful smiles, he can be found enjoying long walks with his wife and their dog. His interests and hobbies include golf, tennis, listening to jazz, playing the piano, and drawing. He and his wife love vacationing with their grown children.

Dr. Panos Papaspyridakos is a specialist Prosthodontist and his clinical expertise covers all aspects of Implant, Esthetic and Reconstructive Dentistry. He received both his Certificate of Specialty in Prosthodontics and M.S. degree with honorary distinction from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine in New York. Subsequently, he received his Certificate of Fellowship in Implant Dentistry from Harvard School of Dental Medicine in Boston. He also holds a D.D.S. degree from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry and a Ph.D. degree from the National University of Athens School of Dentistry.

Currently, Dr. Papaspyridakos serves as an Associate Professor of Postgraduate Prosthodontics at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston and as Adjunct Associate Professor of Prosthodontics at the University of Rochester Eastman Institute for Oral Health in New York, and he maintains a part-time private practice limited to Prosthodontics and Implant Dentistry in Boston.

Dr. Papaspyridakos has published more than 100 articles and abstracts in international, peer-reviewed journals and has authored book chapters in 5 Implant Dentistry textbooks, while he serves as a reviewer for several dental journals. His innovative clinical implant research has received international acclaim with educational awards and is well cited with more than 4,000 citations. He is a fellow of the International Team of Implantology (ITI) and the Greater New York Academy of Prosthodontics (GNYAP) and he lectures extensively on dental implants and esthetics in national and international dental meetings.

Dr. Lucas Patrick was born and raised in Indonesia before moving to the United States in 2001. He began his undergraduate education initially at the University of Wisconsin in Madison. In 2006, he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Cornell University in Ithaca, NY. After Cornell, he attended Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine and received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine in 2010. During dental school Dr. Patrick also received the Goldman School of Dental Medicine Deans Award and the Outstanding Achievement Award in Research for his pre-doctoral research in dental biomaterials. Due to his strong interest in the surgical aspects of dentistry, Dr. Patrick completed an additional one-year of oral and maxillofacial surgery internship at Boston Medical Center immediately following dental school. After working as a general dentist for several years in Maine, he returned to Boston to further his education at Harvard University School of Dental Medicine where he earned a certificate in periodontics and a Master of Medical Science degree. In his free time, Dr. Patrick, who is a soccer aficionado, enjoys traveling and trying out new restaurants around town with his wife.
