I've never had a bad experience here. Dr. Scott has always been warm, caring, polite, and patient with my kid. I've been coming here since she was 6 months old. She's 6 years old now, and my newborn son will go here also.

Let me start by saying the staff is amazing, and they are so sweet. Dr. Scott himself, was extremely condescending and spoke to my son's nurse and I, as though we were bothersome and completely uneducated. We went in for a lip and tounge tie consultation. Our ENT at UTMB, along with my sons speech and feeding therapist suggested that the surgery could help with his oral aversion. He said well then let your ENT do it, which we will, but that's not the point. He proceeded to tell me that we need to work with him on using his words more. We have 4 therapists and we work with him everyday, to the point we are learning sign language. Believe me when I tell you if we could get him to "use his words" we would not be all learning sign language. My nurse asked if there was an adaptive toothbrush that would maybe be easier to try, and he told us to look it up on the oral b website and see for ourselves. It was a horrible experience and we will never go back.

This Place will attract you with all the kid friendly toys however the scheduling is horrible my kids needed to be seen for their six month check up and I had to reschedule and they rescheduled me for a whole four months and even before the pandemic time the scheduling is just horrible ...The staff arent that friendly and other than the toys this place only deserves two stars.Period !!!

Dr. Scott is such an amazing dentist. I called his emergency line on a Saturday afternoon because my 8 year old was in extreme pain. I received a call within 10 minutes and he called in an immediate antibiotic for him. I am so glad our kids have him

My daughter who is 8 has to have a procedure done where they were going to put her to sleep and use laughing gas to do two crowns and an extraction if necessary. Unbeknownst to me at the time it is policy for this office to lie to the child if asked about the details of the procedure. The nurse explained the procedure to me and I told her I would explain it to my daughter. I felt if I explained it, it would receive better reception than a nurse whom she doesn't know. A little background on my daughter. She's highly intelligent and is interested in the medical field. She had to have an extraction a couple months ago and is aware and intelligent enough to be upset and feel disrespected when she found out afterward what they had done. For the last two months when the dentist was brought up the only thing she cares to recall is the fact that she wasn't made aware of what they were going to do before they did it. She doesn't mention pain, anxiety or fear. I wasn't going to let that happen again so I calmly told her what may happen and she was totally fine. Not a bit of anxiety. After they refused service or to see her again I turned to her in the presence of the nurses and asked her if she was alright to proceed with the procedure. I looked for signs of anxiety on her face. There was none as she agreed verbally to consent. They still refused and went as far as to tell me " There are some things you just shouldn't tell your children". As if I'm a POS mom and my children are stupid. I was referred to Dr. Garrett which is a step up and forward. He a great dentist.

So do not let the nice place fool you. They draw you in with the beautiful lighthouse and kid friendly decor inside. It's a fun looking place for kids to go. Most of the staff is very friendly. I won't mention any names but there are a few secretary's or "rescheduling managers" that are so apathetic to busy parents. Down right rude. There are long wait times for service and if you are ever even five minutes late you will not be seen. It's rather annoying seeing as they make u wait so long for treatment. I feel like 5 minutes is not a big deal. I have patiently waited in the waiting room 5 minutes or more before they even check me in but I can't come in 5 minutes late because that's so unacceptable to them. Very rediculous if I may add. People have busy schedules and having to reschedule just because they are five minutes late is very unreasonable. Most places have a window of leeway regarding tardiness, not this place, no. Rescheduling with this office is also a nightmare. There's usually no openings and if there are, they are a month or so away. This is mostly due to the fact they they are the only pediatric dentist in this area (other that Dr McQuade in Beaumont) so they feel like they can get away with whatever they want. I will no longer bring this office my business. I would rather drive to Beaumont from Port Arthur to receive better service than to continue to line this greedy establishments pockets. They don't care about the patients in my opinion.

My son has very high anxiety when it comes to the dentist. I decided to try Dr. Scott because I knew he offered sedation, after his first appointment for treatment he came home happy and excited to return back. He even asked if we could go back this weekend!!! I'm so glad we found his new dental home!!!
