After receiving her doctorate of medical dentistry from the University Of Mississippi School Of Dentistry; the Greenville, Mississippi native decided to move to the big city -Memphis- to work in 1981. Two years later, she opened her practice The Dental Connection in Midtown. A second location opened in 2000 in East Memphis. Nothing makes Dellwyn M. Turnipseed, D.M.D., happier than knowing she is changing lives with her hands. Dr. Turnipseed, General Dentist, specializes in crowns, veneers and even braces to correct patients teeth.

When patients visit our The Dental Connection offices, we will take an impression of their teeth so that the veneers can be created in a lab. They will be made to match the size, shape, and color of your teeth so this can take a week or more.
In order to have dental veneers placed, Dr. Turnipseed will first prepare your tooth by removing a portion of the enamel. This is necessary so that the veneer will lay flat and in line with your gum tissue. After the tooth has been prepared, a temporary veneer will be secured using removable glue. While wearing a temporary veneer, it is important to brush your teeth gently and avoid eating any foods that could push it out of place. Since it is secured by removable glue, it can be moved fairly easily.
When your permanent veneers are ready, you will come back into our The Dental Connection offices so that Dr. Turnipseed can remove the temporary and ensure that the new veneer is a perfect fit. It is typically attached using a water based solution to see how it looks. If any adjustments need to be made, it will be done at this time. Otherwise, the tooth will be cleaned, and the dental veneer will be bonded to the tooth. Patients throughout Tennessee love how the results look. They are instant, and you can start flashing your smile right away.

Best dentist I have ever been to. Staff was friendly and very patient. The dentist was very professional and patient they laughed and joked with me to ease my anxiety. She made sure I was numb before even trying to work on my teeth. I had 2 teeth extracted and I barely felt any pain even after the numbing medicine wore off. This will be my dentist office as long as I am in Memphis.

Appointment was at 8:30am I patiently waited 1 lady that came in after me went to the back I'm still waiting 30 minute passed they called another patient to the back that came after me. I then asked what was the hold up they stated they were waiting on insurance verification which I gave them the information two weeks prior when scheduled the appointment I feel like that should've been done before I made it to my appointment I then waited as another person went to the back that also came after me. I waited a little over an hour only to not get seen I left because they were putting people in from of me and I was in pain. TERRIBLE!!

Initial malpractice because, I paid for something I didn't want. First day of coming, I was told it can be done(2 gold teeth). Therefore, I made a appointment and told my employer of the procedure to take off. That first day of this referred visit.I was told I can get two gold teeth but need to do X-ray to see how it to be done. The appointment day as seen by doctor, I was then told that she can't do it on perfectly good teeth. They did a cleaning in which was part of the packet I wasn't told about, smh. I literally just had a cleaning from my primary dentist about 2 weeks ago. I couldn't believe that the cleaning was part of my $99 and to be told that, "I will have to say no to this one (the procedure)". Still kept my $99. I literally walked out CONFUSED. I was totally taken advantage of with me even taking a day off work. I am a 100% disabled veteran and I care to treat ppl right but I didn't receive here! I won't ever go back and I will warn others. I hope n pray that other good ppl of God don't experience the same as I did!
