My husband Jeff and I enjoy watching our two children, Amanda and Garrett, transition from high school to college. We also have funkeeping our home landscaping under control, traveling, and golfing (although I usually have a better time driving the cart). Our two other kids, Ragdoll cats Givanni and Alice, keep our home lively.
I love to spend time with my husband, son, and dogs. We love sports and really enjoy watching our Kansas City Chiefs, Cleveland Indians, and our soccer teams. I enjoy being organized in all aspects of life.
I enjoy working with the doctors and staff at The Dental Center. Every day I challenge myself to make sure the patients are taken care of when it comes to dealing with their insurance, that they understand their treatment plans and payment options. I enjoy talking to patients not only on a business level but also on a personal one.
Even as a small child, I knew I would either be a teacher or work in a health field some day. I believe Ive found the best of both worlds with dental hygiene! I truly enjoy every opportunity I am given to educate my patients about oral health. I feel fortunate to be here at The Dental Center where I can spend so much one-on-one time with my patients. It really gives me the chance to get to know every person individually and help them achieve the best oral-health possible.
I graduated with a degree in Dental Hygiene from Kirkwood in 2015 and with a degree in Health and Human Physiology from The University of Iowa in 2016. My studies have led me to have a strong interest in the association between oral and overall health. I love when I am able to help our patients see and appreciate the connections between the two!
While many of you have been familiar with seeing Anna at the front desk over the years, she has recently transitioned to a new position, as the Scheduling Coordinator for both the Cedar Rapids and Hiawatha locations. She is happy to help facilitate coordinating your dental needs and looks forward to working with you!
I feel very blessed to have called The Dental Center my employer since 1994. I am extremely grateful for the relationships I have been able to build with our patients and staff over the years. We are so fortunate to be surrounded by so many wonderful people!
I love spending time with my husband, Jim and our son, Noah. Our favorite activities are watching movies, family game night, and hanging out in our backyard watching the days go by. I also enjoy reading and yoga.
Weknow there is much more to our patients than their teeth! Over the combined 70 years our front desk staff has had working at The Dental Center, we have grown to consider the people we care for as our patients AND our friends.
I became Certified and Registered Dental Assistant in 1995. I have worked exclusively with Dr. Haganmansince 1998and have attended many continuing education classes on esthetic dentistry and denture implants. I really enjoy working with patientsand getting to know them. It is so interesting to follow their case from beginning to end to see the great final result. We have terrific doctors and a state-of-the-art practice with the latest technology.
Sandy is a dental hygienist and an assistant here at The Dental Center. She completed her studies in both hygiene and assisting at Kirkwood. She has also completed level 1 and level 2 expanded functions in Dental Hygiene.
When Im not working, I love to hang out with my family. I have a 3-year-old daughter that keeps me busy! Im also known as the crazy dog lady. I volunteer with a local animal shelter fostering and taking care of dogs. If I have had the pleasure to work with you, there is a good chance you have heard about my two crazy pups!
I have been working at The Dental Center for over 11 years and I work with some pretty amazing people. All of the doctors are amazing and provide the best care to our patients. We all make a pretty awesome team!
Melissa has been an assistant with The Dental Center since May 2008. She completed the Dental Assisting program at Kirkwood in 2001. Melissa has also completed Expanded Functions in 2010 and a Bridge Course in 2016.
I enjoy spending time with my daughter and cheering her on in all her many activities. Our family enjoys being outside and spending time with friends and family. We like watching Iowa Hawkeye football and all activities at our hometown school.
The care for patients at The Dental Center is outstanding. Everyone here takes pride in how things are handled for our patients; from the time they call in to schedule until the time they walk out the door.
