The Dental Care Center provides General Family Dentistry and is managed by practicing partners, Dr. Stuart Higgins, Dr. George Mani, and Dr. Michael S. Watson. We have seven locations across Eastern North Carolina. This allows us to provide you and your family with convenient and timely dental care. Youll get the same excellent care from our experienced and knowledgeable dentists and hygienists at each location. We offer comprehensive dental care designed to meet all of your familys needs. Whether you need a cleaning, youre bringing in a child for their very first visit, youre interested in teeth whitening, or considering dental implants, we have you covered. We also specialize in same-day dentures and partials so that you can get your winning smile back as quickly as possible. We even offer emergency dental care should the need arise.

Dr. George Mani graduated from NC State University in 1985 with a BS in Zoology; he attended the UNC School of Dentistry in Chapel Hill from 1985-1989 and joined the US Public Health Service from 1989-1993. He returned to NC in 1993 and started his own dental practice in 1987 in Wake Forest, NC.
Dr. Michael Watson grew up in the mountains of North Carolina. He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1989 with a degree in Chemistry and received his DDS from the UNC School of Dentistry in Chapel Hill in 1993. He completed a postgraduate training program in Esthetic Dentistry at University of Missouri Kansas City in 1996. He has completed numerous courses at the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies.
He and his wife, Jennifer, have two daughters, Erin and Meredith. They also have two dogs, a German Shepherd named Trigger, and a Pekingese named Bitty Bear. He is an avid shooter and enjoys both time at the range and also first person shooter video games. The whole family are big Disney fans and love movies.

This place is awesome. They don't over-schedule either. I've never had to wait...I've always been called back at my scheduled appointment time. I'm in and out in a reasonable time. Professional and friendly. Love this place!!!

I have been a patient at this location for many years. After my last visit, I will not be returning. Here's why: My previous visit, I had a routine cleaning by my technician, Michael, who I liked a lot and also did a great job with cleaning my teeth. I told him I had yet another problem with work that I had done there. A simple restoration of a chip in my tooth, had failed ( I'll get to the other stuff later ). I told him it took 5 minutes to fix before and they should be able to do it when my cleaning was done. I was advised I would have to make another appointment and come back to have this 5 minute procedure done. So, I begrudgingly agreed. When I returned for the service, I showed up before my appt time as always, and then 30 minutes later, I went to the desk to ask why I was still waiting and no one had spoken to me, and was advised " they were having a hard time getting a room open" for me. Sorry. Last straw. Not coming back. Ridiculous. I have had crowns break and fail after a few years that these folks put in, and I don't chew rocks. Whenever I had crowns done I had to wait way too long to have them put in. Way before COVID, I arrived for a scheduled visit. After 30 minutes I asked when I would be seen, and was told soon. After an hour, I'm sitting in the waiting room alone, I look back in the office, and the staff is having a meeting. Completely forgot about me, a patent waiting to be seen. Ridiculous. For some reason I agreed to return later and stayed with this office. There is frequent turnover of the Dentist staff as well. Again. I will not be returning to this location.

Went here because of insurance change. They told me my daughter has 9 cavities in between her teeth, that she has a weird mouth structure and that to prevent cavities she needs to watch the carbs because the sugar from carbs cause cavities. Also, that she has gingivitis. Her last dentist appointment was 6 months ago and she was told her teeth were perfect. After our visit I stopped by our former dentist and got her records and spoke to our old dentist... he said there was nothing that caused concern at her last visit. I am returning to our old dentist and will be happy to pay a little bit more. Makes me question our visit today. And our appointments were at 1220 and we left there at 220pm....

This place to me is fabulous. Their very professional people there from my experience. They greet u with so much warmth, their smile. Always made me feel comfortable & I hardly wait long to be seen. I give them A+ best place I been to for dental work.

I'm usually a coward when I go to the dentist any dentist but this place is amazing. Tina who was my hygienist did a wonderful job she made my teeth shiny and clean. I have to brush my teeth every night for the next 3 months, until I see her again that's how wonderful have a job she did it makes you want to keep your teeth cleaned. Great job Tina!!

All of the staff and the dentist are super nice! There is ease of scheduling and I scheduled my 3 grandkids and myself at the same time. Great dental experience!

My transition from Florida to North Carolina was a bit challenging and It will be a year November 4th & searching for a Dentist can be challenging as well but I found The Dental Care Center for myself and my daughter & They're all phenomenal and very professional from the Front Desk to the Dental Assistant, to the Dentist. I highly recommend this office!!
