The Dental Care Center provides General Family Dentistry and is managed by practicing partners, Dr. Stuart Higgins, Dr. George Mani, and Dr. Michael S. Watson. We have seven locations across Eastern North Carolina. This allows us to provide you and your family with convenient and timely dental care. We also specialize in same-day dentures and partials so that you can get your winning smile back as quickly as possible. We even offer emergency dental care should the need arise.

Dr. George Mani graduated from NC State University in 1985 with a BS in Zoology; he attended the UNC School of Dentistry in Chapel Hill from 1985-1989 and joined the US Public Health Service from 1989-1993. He returned to NC in 1993 and started his own dental practice in 1987 in Wake Forest, NC.
Dr. Michael Watson grew up in the mountains of North Carolina. He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1989 with a degree in Chemistry and received his DDS from the UNC School of Dentistry in Chapel Hill in 1993. He completed a postgraduate training program in Esthetic Dentistry at University of Missouri Kansas City in 1996. He has completed numerous courses at the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies.
He and his wife, Jennifer, have two daughters, Erin and Meredith. They also have two dogs, a German Shepherd named Trigger, and a Pekingese named Bitty Bear. He is an avid shooter and enjoys both time at the range and also first person shooter video games. The whole family are big Disney fans and love movies.

The staff were unprofessional and un polite.then tried to force me into unwanted service and won't own up to dental plan. Sub Par!

Phone system suggest emailing because the phone system is not working properly. I've sent 2 emails over the last few days and NO response. So frustrating.

Staff is great, I can't tell you about all the "dentists", but the one my daughter had thought it was a psych visit instead of dental. She was in major pain, in need of a root canal, which I did specify when I initially called and apparently they don't do. They did an x-rays. When this " dentist" came in he looked at her for 5 min and proceeded to tell her that work and school were to stressful and the cause of her grinding her teeth to the point of needing a root canal. This was after I clearly stated she has been grinding since she was a baby. We still ended up with a 30 min lecture on why she should stop what she is doing and just relax and do nothing. We ended up with a referral that did us no good and are now sitting in another dental office to see if she can get help. She spent another night in excruciating pain to which they also did nothing about. Do NOT recommend!!!!

All the staff is friendly and helpful, and the doctors take all the time you need to answer questions you have. I went in with dental problems and they corrected these problems when another dentist just told me they could not help me. I highly recommend this dental care office no matter what your issues are.

I went here today since my regular office didn't have openings and I'm so glad I did. Melissa T, the dental hygienist did a phenomenal job cleaning my teeth. It wasn't a coincidence that I was able to encounter such a beautiful person, inside and out. Will come again, just for the experience.

Great office!!! From the first moment you walked in the door it was a very professional experience, my hygienist was great, doc answered all my questions and will be happy to return for my 6 month checkup.

I've been going to this center since i was 9.I have recently got my braces removed,and with that i needed two of my teeth's built up.I have been waiting for 2 years and months to get them done.I was told I would get them done after I got them took off.I sat in the chair and the doctor started going on about how veneers would be the better option in the long run.So of course I'm taking recommendations waiting for them to continue their work with my fill in's and tells me she would not give me caps or fill in because she didn't recommend it and if i wanted to get them done they were only going to do it if it veneers.she gave me the insurance information which i knew my insurance covered caps and fill in but when i look it said my insurance could cover nothing and i would have to put 3,5k for my two teeth to get done.Not only was it unprofessional for her to tell me she would not service me what i wanted on my teeth.She didn't even let my grandmother have a say in it.I am no switching dentists after 5yrs of loyal customization.I do not recommend them.

How in the world can you reschedule or even place an appointment when no one picks up the phone and there voice mail box is full of messages this place needs to have a better contact team or system I can never get them over the phone

I didn't like my experience it was my first time I used the coupon for the $99.00 special it's a scam I did my paperwork and let them know what issues I had they exam my mouth and did x-ray and discovered I needed a deep cleaning my paperwork stated I had a deep cleaning in June or July so they didn't give me no cleaning I was told from staff that I would receive some of my money back cause there was no cleaning done I was told it would be only $36.00 due to the flyer say 99.00 for a x-ray exam and basic cleaning when I got ready to check out she told me I can't get any money back cause that was for exam and x-ray I didn't receive what the flyer said the financial lady was very rude she tried to make fun of my work that I needed done I felt really bad my feelings was hurt she was very rude she could of talked to me better than that very unprofessional I can't help I'm not as fortunate as she is but I still shouldn't been treated that way I didn't have insurance but I will have it at the beginning of the year I just tried to find me a good dentist to go to I been going to commwell health paying out the pocket trying to do the best I can I didn't need the rudeness and the dentist I've been going to is for people that can't afford to go to the best but we thankful for what we can get were trying to get the care we need I just didn't like how they just took my money like that when I sacrifice money that I really didn't have to pay right here at the holidays so I recommend don't use the coupon that comes in mail and please don't go to the Smithfield location the flyer was a lie and the staff 00

I have had the best experience. I came here with a tight time-line and they were super accommodating worked quickly to get everything done so that I could look my best. The staff from the desk to the dentist were all super friendly and non-judgmental. I will recommend them to anyone looking for a great dentist office.

Husband had a dental appointment today. Yes we confirmed and he was there at 8:15am. They didn't unlock the doors until 8:30am his appointment time. They made him fill out paperwork and then said he couldn't see the dentist because his appointment was at 8:30 and because of their paperwork that they made him fill out he was considered late and would have to see the dentist another day. Now he is a retired veteran and was having tooth problem but now he has to wait until next Tuesday to have the appointment which took us over 3 weeks to get and yes he has been there before. Not a New patient. This is totally unacceptable. Yes we will probably keep Tuesday appointment but I will immediately start looking for a new dentist and yes we have insurance and pay in full at the day of visit. Very unprofessional.
