Dr. Perkins is a native of Hollandale, Mississippi. He currently resides in Oxford, Mississippi with his family. He is married to the former Jessica Anne Wood. They have four children: Preston, Anne Hayden, and twins, Ashton and John Seton.

Dr. Alisha Li obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Mississippi while working part time as a dental assistant for Dr. Perkins. During this time, she found her passion in pediatric dentistry. She received her Masters in Biomedical Science (2012) and Doctor of Dental Medicine (2016) degrees from the University of Mississippi Medical Center. Following dental school, Dr. Li moved to Naples, FL and completed a two year post-doctorate pediatric residency program from the University of Florida-Naples where she served as Chief Resident.

  • 'From the time my baby 's first visit was conducted 3 weeks ago to today, we received nothing less than the best level of communication and professionalism from Center Staff and affiliates. Dr. Charles Perkins: THANK YOU and THANK YOU AGAIN for doing exactly what you said you would do. There was appropriate turnaround for Lailas procedure on this morning and the timeline was perfect for the both of us. Recovery is stress-free and safe and we appreciate you and your Staff 's passion for dentistry. I HIGHLY recommend this facility to any parent seeking sincere dental care for toddlers and teenagers.' • 'We live in Enid and were previously going to a dentist closer to us but my little girl had a cavity and was referred to Dr. Perkins. I decided to stay with him because it just makes more sense to me. If she needs a procedure done wed have to go to him anyway but so far Ive enjoyed our experience with him and the staff. Just yesterday we had Lillys first cleaning there. I wish Id gotten the girls name that tended to my daughter because she was so sweet with her! Also I really like that Dr. Perkins is conservative about doing procedures on little ones. Yes its a cavity, but its small so hes been trying to wait until my daughter is a bit older and wouldnt have to be put under anesthesia. I like that for sure because even though its a minor procedure its a big thing, to me anyway, for a little one to be put under. Hes very straightforward and answered all the questions I had. My little girl also loves the big fish tank out front and getting to pick a toy after her visit. Oh and her new toothbrush with Peppa and George Pig on it! I would definitely recommend The Childrens Dental Center to anyone with little ones.' Michelle Dees Button

There are so many reasons why I could never recommend this dentist, but many reasons are highly based on our experience, my training, and my instincts that I can't ignore. I'll leave those out. But facts, those can't be debated. My daughter had severe reflux as an infant, which caused some cavities. I didn't want her having silver crowns. We were willing to pay whatever was needed to give our daughter a beautiful smile. She was 2 when she visited Dr Perkins and when she had her teeth done by him. He suggested zirconium crowns, he said that would look natural, all white. Keep in mind this is her front teeth. We obviously chose those. After her dental surgery she had bruising on her face, and 2 small cuts. Immediately after the surgery I noticed that her front teeth, especially one, had gray coloring on the top half of the tooth. I discussed this in a visit with him, he also didn't buff off the blue writing on another tooth, and he said it would clear up. That it was blood and that it would be fine. She's 4, and her front teeth are still gray. We paid thousands for this. And she's left with gray front teeth. Another zirconium crown broke, I took her back, he said that he would leave it. It was a jaw tooth, my daughter can't have a broken tooth for years, what dentist would suggest that??After bringing up some concerns, he told me he wasn't comfortable seeing her as a patient. He did refund me for that one tooth. I wasn't offended that he didn't want to treat my daughter, I would never take her back to be treated by him. I took her to another dentist and I discussed my concerns about the discoloration, the dentist told me that he should have cleaned up his mess, and that he shouldn't have left her like that. The dentist said that had ever happened to one of their patients, they would fix it. I fully agree. That is what should have happened when I took her back a week after her surgery. The staff at his office is caring, kind, and attentive. Perkins is not. He is arrogant. I highly suggest avoiding him as a dentist.

Don't take your child here. Rude. Doctor is loud and rough with kids...my grandson was terrified. They don't want parents to come back with the child....that is not happening. There is no reason why my grandson can't have someone go back there with him. They told us not to bring my grandson back on his visit a week ago because his other grandmother insisted on going back with him. They said they DO NOT allow that. I would be guestioning why.

Friendly group but I felt very rushed. I also felt like they did not give enough information as far as pre/post operative information. My child was going in to have one thing done but when they came out something else was done and when I asked why the answer was pretty vague. Maybe a good group for simple dental procedures but will go elsewhere if we need anything extensive.

I was so excited to find a children's dentist who takes our insurance but our experience was awful. First visit Dr Perkins didn't speak to my child at all, she's a toddler. Suddenly my child supposedly needs 3 crowns and a root canal. Took my child to another dentist, none were needed. He kept talking about "pretty little girls with pretty smiles." He gives me the creeps. One quick scroll through the offices Facebook page you'll see him holding children a bit too tight. I don't recommend him.

My little girl absolutely loves going to visit Dr. Perkins and his team. She was smiling from the time we came in for her visit and even happier when we left. Everyone there is awesome and is great at doing their jobs. I am thankful to have found the best Pediactric dentist for my children.

My son is terrified of doctors and dentist. We started going to Dr. Perkin's the beginning part of this year after discovering cavities. He loves coming here. He has never let anyone clean his teeth before. He has now had his teeth cleaned twice here. The staff is always sweet and helpful. Dr. Perkins is very patient with any questions asked and is great with kids. Highly recommend Dr. Perkins and staff. This office is the best!
