I attended the University of Iowa on a football scholarship which provided me with many great memories, (along with a couple degenerative knees). I graduated from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry in 1985, and completed residency training in Advanced General Dentistry in 1986. That training established the foundation to pursue a deep desire I had to serve people with compassion and skill in a field that I truly love and am passionate about. I founded the children's dental centerwith a desire to bring together a team of highly skilled and caring people that would share in the vision of providing an exceptional dental experience for individuals and their families as well as having a positive impact on our community. Today that desire and mission grows into reality.

I have been married to my best friend Laura since 1985, and we live here in Coralville along with our nine children. I am also a follower of Jesus Christ which provides me the privilege of being part of the pastoral team at Grace Community Church in North Liberty, Iowa.

I was born and raised in a suburb on the southwest side of Chicago. When I graduated from Carl Sandburg High School in 2010, I was eager to go out of state for my education. I decided to attend The University of Iowa for my undergraduate degree in Biology. While at Iowa, I continued my passion for playing soccer by competing on the Womens Club Soccer team as well as running the Chicago Marathon for Dance Marathon. Iowa soon became my home away from home. I graduated from The University of Iowa College of Dentistry and Dental Clinics in 2018 and stayed to complete my Pediatric Dentistry Certificate in 2020. I went onto becoming Board Certified in October 2021. A select few go on to complete this certification as the process is very time-consuming and intense, including study groups, multiple tests, and travel. Ive always had a passion for working with children, especially those with special healthcare needs. I am very honored to join this growing community and committed to making your childs dental care a positive experience. I look forward to meeting you!

Here's the thing, this building is AWESOME. Kids enjoy going and actually look forward to dentists appointments. With that being said, two of my kiddos left in tears when the staff refused to see us. We scheduled an appointment at 4:30 and later got a reminder for a 4:00 appointment. I called and told them we were scheduled at the wrong time and we wouldn't be able to make it by 4:00. They assured me it was okay and to come anyway. We arrived at 4:12. They told us that we were more than 10 minutes late and they wouldn't be seeing us. I explained how they made a mistake and they even admitted they scheduled patients when the doctor wasn't supposed to be here in the first place. Maybe this seems silly to some, but when you have to jump through hoops to leave work early and take three kids out of the house this is a big deal. I am extremely disappointed in the place I used to rave about to every mom I knew. What a shame.

I wanted to share about the amazing experiences we have had The Children's Dental Center and Dr. Jenn and her incredible staff. My youngest has had 2 cavities and yet is still excited for her cleanings. Dr. Jenn has the cavity filling for kids mastered by combining imaginative storytelling with compassionate care, she takes away the fear from the process. We have gone there for about 2 years now and I switched my 12yr old there from our family dentist as well. It's a really cool place and being able to do 7am cleanings for both kids and get them to school in time is a big win. Dr. Jenn takes the time to talk to me, is personable and doesn't ever make me feel like my questions are silly. Oh and last spring I was the mom that gave my kids blueberry donuts on the way to the dentist at 6:30am and they didn't give me any grief about that at all. We bounced around pediatric dentists for awhile and had started going to a family dentist but when my then 5yr old had a cavity they couldn't fill it so we had to find a pediatric dentist to do it. I am glad to finally have found this place and plan on staying with them as long as our kids are kids!

It was our first time visiting and it was a great experience overall! The front desk staff were so welcoming and nice! The dental assistant was great and did a good job of explaining everything! The Dentist was quick but thorough and very approachable! Also, the lobby was decorated so nice and very conducive to children! Would definitely recommend!

My 4 year had a great experience here. We walked in and were greeted by name. We waited for only a few minutes, and checked out the pirate ship and bubble display. The atmosphere is clean and very kid friendly. Our dental hygienist and dentist were both patient, warm, and great at helping my child feel comfortable. Happy to have scheduled our next appt here!

This was a very pleasant experience for both my kids. The office was clean and the staff were very friendly and personable. This was my 3 year old's first time and she was a bit scared but both the assistant and dentist made her feel comfortable and eased her fears by interacting with her and gently explaining and showing her the tools. The big and impressive play area at the entrance was a big bonus, the colorful walls and murals, and the prize she got at the end made her say....."I want to come back again and I'm going to be so brave!". I highly recommend this place!

My daughter is TRAUMATIZED thanks to our two visits to this clinic. The first trip they wanted to take X-rays of her teeth. They made my husband hold her down while they took X-rays. She was so upset she threw up hyperventilating. They told us they wanted to remove two teeth. They said they would use nitrous, topical numbing and RESTRAINTS. We brought her in and said we weren't comfortable with restraining her. The doctor seemed annoyed at this request. They took her back, told us we couldn't be with her. Shortly after she came up front BAWLING with blood in her nose and her gums numb and they said they couldn't get the teeth pulled and we would have to go to the university so she could be sedated. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

I have never had such a pleasant experience with any health professional, ever. The office is gorgeous and the staff was so understanding and courteous. Even when there was a mixup with our insurance they did everything they could to help us on our first visit. Our son is super shy and very wary but by the end of his very first dental checkup he was all smiles and "thank you's" with everyone. So happy to have found this place! I wish he had to go more often. :)

Everyone from the front desk was so welcoming. The hygienist was fantastic with my children and even ones who weren't working directly with them, interacted and talked to them! The dentist was amazing, made sure I understood everything and asked me several times if I had any questions. Not to mention the amazing decor and kid friendly set up! Highly recommend to anyone who needs pediatric dentistry!
