After completing dental school, Dr. Shapiro continued extensive studies in cosmetic dentistry and has even instructed his colleagues. His commitment to the latest technology and his passion for dentistry has made him one of the best general and cosmetic dental providers in the region. Dr. Shapiro practices very conservative general andcosmetic dentistry. He is a proponent of bonded dentistry and tries to maintain as much natural tooth structure as possible when restoring teeth and smiles. This means fewer crowns and root canals. He sees his dentistry as functional and very personal art. His number one goal is earning your trust and putting a smile on your face.
Dr. Shapiro has found that many new patients have had a lot of dentistry done to them and arent very happy. He focuses on doing dentistry for his patients with their ultimate satisfaction as their goal. He believes in treating people, not teeth.
Dr. Michael Palmieri is a native Long Islander, and grew up in Dix Hills. He is a 2014 doctoral graduate of Maryland Dental School, where he was a member of Gamma Pi Delta, the Prosthodontic Honor Society for excellence in restorative and prosthetic dentistry. Dr. Palmieri completed his residency at Stony Brook University Hospital, where he remained for an additional year as Chief Resident and received advanced training in cosmetic and implant dentistry.
Dr. Palmieri strongly believes in a conservative approach to dentistry. His goal is to achieve beautiful results that function and stand the test of time by preserving as much of your tooth as possible. Dr. Palmieri has made it his mission to deliver the same high quality treatment that patients of The Center for Cosmetic Dentistry have grown accustomed to for so many years.
The treatment philosophy at the Center for Cosmetic Dentistry is to get you one hundred percent healthy and one hundred percent happy with your smile. Once you are healthy routine maintenance will minimize future treatment, and help you to live happily ever after.
Glendy loves working with both adults and children alike as she aims to build long-term relationships with them. She recently went to El Salvador as a member volunteer of Wings Medical International. Her mission there was to provided health services and dental education to the less fortunate children of the country. They were fortunate to have her as all her patients benefit from her gentle manner and her soft touch.
Michelle is one of two part-time hygienists we have on our cosmetic dental team. Michelle graduated from SUNY Farmingdale in 1987 and enjoys being a dental hygienist. Time flies when you love what you do!!
Over the years, Michelle has attended numerous seminars in order to achieve the best possible patient experience while at the dentist. She joined the Center for Cosmetic Dentistry five years ago and is thrilled to be part of such a high quality, caring dental practice. In her spare time she volunteers as a Girl Scout leader and enjoys gardening for wildlife. Thorough but gentle, she will help educate you about how best to keep those pearly whites for many years to come.

I've been a patient of Dr. Shapiro for about 20 years. The first time l went to him, l had pain in my mouth that my previous dentist and an oral surgeon could not alleviate. I didn't even know if Dr. Shapiro would be willing to work on it since two dentists had already done so. He solved the issue almost immediately. Dr. Shapiro is a perfectionist. He cares about his patients and wants the best for them. His staff is also phenomenal; the dental hygienists that work for him are the best. I am so grateful to the friend who recommended him to me. Dr. Shapiro is an experienced down to earth and easy to talk to dentist He was the only dentist to want to fix the root cause of my dental problems with an excellent outcome Dr. Shapiro doesn't push the most expensive options he does was is rite and necessary and does great work I am a very weary cautious patient by nature and I am so glad I trusted him from doing Invisalign with great results to his bonding procedure that fixed my bite and teeth grinding I thought I lost my smile but luckily I listened to Dr. Shapiro

We were really amazed at how professional and caring everyone was. We've never had a dentist sit us in his office, explain everything, and make us feel as comfortable as possible on the very first visit. I would give a 10 star rating if I could.

Dr Shapiro and his staff are caring and patient. As an established patient, I was able to get an needed appointment rapidly. I never leave the office without complete satisfaction. Dr. Shapiro really listens to you. patient and dentist develop a collaborative relationship and prioritize what needs to be done in order of necessity. I have complete satisfaction with Dr Shapiro and must say I am a very picky Dental patient ! Another plus, they accept care credit!

Dr.Shapiro's office is the most professional office out there. For years I've been a client and have recommended many along the way. He's more the just a "dentist ". He cares so much of his patients and wants the very best for them. His heart is always in the best place. He gives amazing, positive insight and his views on life are inspiring. His work speakers for itself and those who have sat in the chair understand. Just today, he spoke his age and the word retirement came into the conversation. He said when you love what you do, then why? He truly loves what he does and his clients and there families. That made me feel so good! The staff is awesome.... The dental hygienist does an amazing job, what more can I say. Thank you, is what I want to say! Oh- see you on the 27th
