Dr. Chinar is phenomenal. She used to work out of staten island and has moved to this location . She has done all my dental work after, i avoided having anything done for 10 years. She made me feel comfortable and explained everything thoroughly. I would trust no one else with any of my dental needs because all her work is exceptional

This was one of the best dental experiences I have ever had! The Receptionist, Hygienist, and the Dentist were all so warm, patient, efficient and competent! Also, watching them clean everything and take things out of packages in front of me was very comforting. Will definitely be making this my new regular dental office!

Great vibe here. Dentist is friendly and provides great care, dental staff are caring, nice and helpful reception. Went here to get a filling fixed, have since returned for 4-5 cleanings and my teeth are in better shape than ever.

From the young lady at the front desk, the dental assistant and the dentist. My overall experience was a great one. I was comfortable, everything was explained even the call reminders were on point. I appreciate the experience and would recommend anyone I know.

Since before the pandemic this dentistry was great. Now as of 5/26/2022 I have had the worst experience. I had an appointment to get a root canal. I was 5 mins late (I called to tell them, I was told that was fine.) I show up only for the dentist to cancel he was leaving early. Due to the pain I had been in with the tooth they prescribed me Ibuprofen 800 to get me through the next few weeks and rescheduled my root canal on the spot. I arrive today (early) only to be told the dentist that performs root canals doesn't work today??? The receptionist knew what I needed done at the time she rescheduled me. Then to be told I was getting 2 fillings. WRONG a root canal, then she told me at the appointment my copay is $400.00+ Never got a previous courtesy call like in the past of the work and how much. I am DONE with the incompetentence of this office. I tried to deal only to be treated poorly. Tooth pain is no joke and I was treated like one at this office. Every bad review isn't lying similar stories. They lost a great patient today!!!! I have to find another hoping I can be seen soon with working daily in pain. I have great insurance and yet treated horribly DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!

If your looking for a good dentist & fast service this is the place to go. The front desk is very welcoming & I was seen right away for my appointment time plus she was very thorough! Everything I was concerned about she took care of.

only concerned about.your insurance and money,, dentures cost double what they cost anywhere else ,,and so does brigdes and anything else,, office is half real estate and nobody is comfortable here ,,these reviews are lies

Got called that my insurance approve my follow up appointment after 2 months of waiting. I went in today being told a co-pay of 150 is now required for the appointment when there was no mention of this when I was called. I specifically told the dentist I only wanted to move forward if my insurance approved it. Don't think I will be back. Front desk representative was not helpful sarcastic stating I should know what my insurance covers ? Thank you for wasting my time and gas arriving to an appointment to be insulted.

Great office. I just moved to the neighborhood and was looking for a dentist and came in based on the many positive reviews. Lucy was gentle with x-rays and Dr. Mahadkar was incredibly knowledgeable and kind. I haven't had a cleaning in a long time and it was smooth, efficient and thorough. My teeth feel amazing. Josephine followed up with me afterwards on questions I had about my insurance plan and is just the best. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for quality care and their new dental home.

Today is 12.19.2021, on 12.17.2021 I had a horrible experience at the Brooklyn Dental Center, 789 Flatbush Avenue, Brooklyn, NY and posted it under my real name, Stephanie Baker. This business called me as soon as I posted my review, then they flagged my review for removal. Imagine if Brooklyn Dental Center paid as much attention to their files and to treating customers with courtesy and respect, as they do to curating a false online image! Clearly the 5-star reviews do not reflect the true experiences of the majority of the patients who have been there, or else they would not be flagging a single, honest one-star review. (Maybe Google allows businesses to flag truthful, accurate reviews of the horrible experiences patients have here. Google didn't let me know that my review was flagged, I just noticed that only I can see it.) So this is what happened: On June 25, 2021 I had my first appointment at The Brooklyn Dental Center at 789 Flatbush Avenue, Brooklyn, NY. The bathroom was filthy and broke down, Chinar Mahadkar, DDS and the lady who takes x-rays were unnecessarily rough with me. When I told the x-ray lady, she huffed and said, "I am too rough with you?" then slowed down a teeny bit. Dr Mahadkar, on the other hand, told me three times that I am "sensitive" and said that she'd put a note in my file to use a different instrument next time. Although I had no dental issues, my top and bottom gums were bleeding and in pain for several days after my appointment. I have been going to the dentist twice yearly since toddlerhood, and never before had a general cleaning and exam left my mouth bloody and in pain. I was not going to return there, but BDC is within walking distance from my home on a nice day, and I don't like to go far when I have to leave my baby at home. I scheduled my appointment far in advance, took off time from work and hired a babysitter, confirmed my appointment in response to their confirmation text I received the day before and I showed up at the appointment on time. The woman at the front desk turned me away because the appointment THEY set was one week ahead of exactly six months from the last time I was there, and they were afraid that they would not be paid if they gave me a cleaning and x-ray. So I missed wages and lost money and time because of the ineptitude of their office. Moreover the woman at the front desk was so callous, you would've thought I was a criminal begging for free care. They just turned me away with no regard for what they did to me, with no suggestion to make things right, without even trying to do something to make my trip, missed wages, lost money to be there at the appointment time THEY set worthwhile. I DO NOT recommend this office at all.

Dr. Mahadkar and everyone at the Brooklyn Dental Center are THE BEST! I've been going there for a couple of years now and have had everything from routine dental cleanings to root canals and crowns. Dr. Mahadkar is so gentle and thorough with her cleanings and incredibly skilled with her dental treatment. She's given me relief from pain and my crown is so natural looking you can't even tell it's a cap. She really cares about her patients and so does her assistant Lucy. Lucy is so patient with x-rays and was amazing at helping me choose the shade for my crown. She totally has an eye for it. Its a super clean and super friendly environment and I so appreciate them!
