I cant imagine a more fulfilling profession than orthodontics. Every day I meet new people, strengthen connections with established patients, and form connections that last long after treatment is complete.

Changing the position of teeth affects all parts of a persons life. Proper alignment improves oral and overall body health, helps prevent future issues, and changes how a person feels about their appearance. Its inspiring to see each person grow during treatment: they become happier, more outgoing, and increasingly comfortable with how they look. Each finishes with a smile thats brimming with confidence!

I know orthodontics is a commitment of a persons time and energy. Patients deserve advanced care, with each step selected to work with their clinical needs and desired goals. By learning what a patient seeks, and about their life and favorite pastimes, Im able to create an approach that exceeds their expectations. Working with patients and parents, we agree on a plan thats timely, comfortable, and soon has them sharing their new smile.

By constantly learning about the newest techniques and advancements in technology and materials, I ensure patients have the best orthodontic care. Each person deserves treatment that is efficient, effective, and delivers a strong and healthy smile.

Since finishing my residency Ive sought out a range of continuing education courses, learning from leading researchers and practitioners in the specialty. In addition to classes taken at conferences and other gatherings, Ive completed a two-year MBT course, Invisalign one-to-one, and studied functional occlusion with the Kois Center.

Growing up I lived in California, New Jersey, and South Carolina. My family and I have lived in Bend for about ten years and we love experiencing the great outdoors all year long. Alisha, my wife, and I have two children. Lily is our daughter and Miles is our son.

Having straight teeth improves a persons oral and physical health. Properly aligned teeth are easier to keep clean, reduce stress on the jaw, and ensure proper chewing. Of course, the most visible result of orthodontic care is a more radiant, becoming smile: a smile that grows ones self-esteem and the confidence with which we greet the world.

I believe each patient deserves the highest level of care, customized to their unique situation. Rather than a one-treatment-for-all approach, I work closely with each patient and their family. Together, we decide on a treatment plan thats efficient, comfortable, and meets all their needs.

We have a remarkable practice with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Our team members are professional, skilled, and passionate about creating smiles. Youll hear a lot of laughter as soon as you arrive and will soon join in: were committed to making braces fun!

A large part of my commitment to my profession and patients is continuing education. Its essential to stay current on new methodologies and technology, evaluating each development and understand how it might impact patient care.

During the year I complete many post-graduate orthodontic courses, attend meetings and seminars, and participate in hands-on events. This ensures I remain at the leading-edge of innovative care, so my patients receive the best treatment and achieve the strongest results.

My wife, Echo, and I have two young children: Parkerand Presley. Away from the office Im usually found with my family, enjoying different adventures. I also manage to fit in the occasional round of golf, weather permitting.

For most people, achieving a healthy, beautiful smile is the reason for receiving orthodontic care. If you're self-conscious about your smile, correcting your concerns with braces will greatly improve the way you look and feel.

When your treatment is complete, you will have the smile you've always dreamed of and the confidence to show it off! We also want you to feel comfortable and confident throughout your entire orthodontic experience, and our practice is dedicated to making sure that you receive the quality care you deserve.

Orthodontic appliances are made of metal, ceramic, or plastic. They may be removable or they may be brackets bonded to the teeth. By placing a constant, gentle force in a carefully controlled direction, braces slowly move teeth to the proper position.

Gone are the days when a metal band with a bracket was placed around each tooth. You can now choose clear or metal brackets and, in some cases, the color of your appliance. Wires are far less noticeable, and the latest materials are designed to move teeth faster with more comfort. Today, any age is a great age to wear braces!

Treatment time varies and can last between one and three years, depending on several factors including age, treatment method, and how minor or severe your case is. A big factor in a successful treatment is you! The more involved and diligent you are, the more efficient your treatment will be. For children, receiving interceptive or early treatment can also help provide a quicker treatment time.

I can't say that I've always loved having braces, but the experience has been improved substantially by Dr. Wiater and the staff. Everyone is always friendly, empathetic and helpful. I appreciate you all!
