At the University of Iowa, she was president of the pre-dental club while earning her Bachelors in Biology. She attended dental school at theUniversity of Michiganand received a full scholarship from the US Navy. She traveled the world as the only dentist aboard the USS Carter Hall (LSD-50), where she was responsible for the dental health of thousands of sailors and Marines.
Dr. Jane has served on the SureSmile Clinical Advisory Board since 2006 and is considered an expert in SureSmile and Lingual technology. She frequently attends conferences and seminars to further her education.

Dr. Taut was born in Romania (he even still speaks some Romanian!) and moved to the United States at age nine. As a teenager he had braces and it provided him with the confidence to pursue lifes challenges.
He knew he wanted to do something in the medical field, but it wasnt until his third year of dental school at the University of Michigan where he found his true calling. He noticed one of his shy, young patients gaining confidence as he underwent orthodontic treatment, and it was at this moment in his life he was convinced he wanted to pursue orthodontics to create healthy, beautiful smiles.
Dr. Taut received his Master of Science in Orthodontics from Marquette University, and he has been heavily involved in dental research. He is a published author that has presented at numerous national and international conferences, and he fondly calls himself a big science nerd.
Outside of the office, he and his wife Shannon, a pediatrician, enjoy traveling and cooking new foods. He loves staying active by exercising and playing tennis or basketball. Because of all of his time spent studying at the University of Michigan he is also an avid Michigan sports supporter!
Phase two is all about braces, making sure each tooth is in the position it needs in order to create the best smile for your child. This typically involves upper and lower braces, and may sometimes begin while your child is finishing up their first phase.
This phase is typically started once your child has all of their permanent teeth. Treatment time with braces is dependent on each individual case, and when the braces come off we create retainers to ensure your child maintains their smile for life.
If your child does not need a first phase of treatment, this first visit is used to determine when would be the ideal time to begin orthodontic treatment. Until the time for braces comes we will continue to monitor your child for free to ensure the healthiest smile possible.
