Dr. Jean-Jacques Elbaz, D.D.S., M.S., of Beverly Hills, is one of the most highly regarded Periodontists in Southern California. Born in Casablanca, Morocco, Dr. Elbaz comes from a family of medical practitioners. After receiving his dental degree in Paris, Dr. Elbaz moved to Los Angeles, where he was accepted into the program at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) to train under world-renowned Periodontists, Dr. Fermin Carranza, Dr. Barrie Kenney and Dr. Henry Takei. There, he earned a postgraduate certificate in Periodontics and a Master of Science in Oral Biology.
Dr. Elbaz spent time teaching at UCLA while continuing his clinical research in bone grafting before opening up his own private practice in Beverly Hills in 1990. For over the past thirty years, Dr. Elbaz has built a reputation for his technical skills in tissue management and his caring relationship with his patients.
With his background in teaching and research, Dr. Elbaz ensures that his methods are always on the cutting edge, as he shares these methods and research findings in his various lectures, both nationally and internationally throughout the years. Dr. Elbaz received his Diplomate status in Periodontology in 1997 from the American Board of Periodontology. Subsequently, Dr. Elbaz received his Diplomate status in Oral Implantology from the American Board of Oral Implantology and Implant Dentistry. He proudly serves as an Expert in Periodontics for the Dental Board of California.
While Dr. Elbaz seeks to maintain one of the most up-to-date offices in terms of technology, he understands that the most important aspect of any visit is the personalized care he provides to every patient. Dr. Elbaz, the staff and hygienists are amazing and make for a wonderful experience every time. They are efficient, I have never had to wait more than 2 min to be seen, and they're responsive about appointments and otherwise. Everyone here at the office is very caring, gentle and thorough. Dr. Elbaz takes time to explain everything that is in my care plan. He is extremely knowledgeable and has the latest treatments available. Armena, hygienist, is very caring and professional and pays great attention to details. I have been going to Dr. Elbaz for over 24 years since around 1998. My mother has gone to him for years. My father and brother have been going to him for a comparable period. We all love Dr. Elbaz because he is the absolute best in his field. He also treats you with utmost respect and truly cares for patients. I know most people dwell on going to the dentist. However, I look forward to going. The office is beautiful and with serene music playing in the background to calm your nerves. Office staff are the friendliest people in Beverly Hills. Every six months, I go for a cleaning. Lucine, my preferred hygienist who works at the office, also has a great attitude about cleaning your teeth meticulously and makes the experience actually quite enjoyable with great conversation sometimes. I always get a great feeling when Dr. Elbaz says my teeth and gums look good Recently, I had gum grafting performed by Dr. Elbaz. The procedure was flawlessly executed helping to save my tooth from eventually falling out. In fact, one cannot discern any difference where the work was performed with the rest of the mouth. If I ever require assistance with my teeth or gums, Dr. Elbaz will always be my first go to expert to ensure absolute highest quality advice and work. (c)

Dr Elbaz is a fabulous periodontist. He not only has a very light touch and makes every effort to assure that you are NEVER in pain, with excellent results, but he also is a very warm and pleasant person to be around. I cannot recommend him enough, and would give him more Stars if I could! And I have been his patient for over 20 years! His staff is equally friendly, professional and attentive to all the patient's needs. The practice is very welcoming and beautiful, feeling and looking more like a spa than a dental practice. I eagerly recommend Dr. Elbaz to every person I meet. He makes having dental surgery a very pleasant experience!
