For Dr. Zev Segal, your smile is more than a mouthful of nice looking and healthy teeth. It is a work of art. That is why his practice in Florham Park, NJ is called The Art of Smile. Dr. Segal adds a touch of artistry to everything he does, including providing outstanding dental care with a focus on cosmetic and implant dentistry to the people of New Jersey.
Dr. Segal graduated from Hadassah School of Dental Medicine at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 1980, and opened a private dental practice the same year. While practicing dentistry in Jerusalem, he went on to study art photography at Bezalel Art Academy, eventually switching to painting.
Dr. Segals lifelong pursuit of art has shaped his vision regarding the dental aesthetics, based on recognition that there is no universally perfect smile rather, your ideal smile should complement and accentuate your individual facial features. Dr. Segals artistic background, professional expertise and experience translates to a unique approach to all facets of dentistry very few practitioners can claim to offer.
In 1994, upon graduation with honors from New York University College of Dentistry, Dr. Segal opened his New Jersey dental practice with a particular focus on cosmetic and implant dentistry. He continues his postgraduate education by taking various professional courses and seminars to widen his knowledge base and stay abreast of the latest developments in dentistry to ensure he offers his patients the most advanced, highest quality care possible.
Outside the office, Dr. Segal loves spending time with his wife and three children. He also enjoys painting and photography, classical, jazz, and world music as well as traveling. Some of Dr. Segals original artwork can be seen on his website at zsegal.com.
Any dental office is only as good as their office manager and Idressa has created the formula that works at The Art of Smile Dental. From managing our staff to working directly with our patients, Idressa wears many different hats. When Idressa isnt juggling the duties of our office, she enjoys spending her time with her two daughters.
For over 15 years, Irina has been by Dr. Segals side. Her long record of experience coupled with her dental expertise makes Irina an irreplaceable member of The Art of Smile team. When she is not taking care of our patients, Irina enjoys spending time traveling and spending time with her two sons and her grandchildren.
Every great dentist is only as great as the assistant by their side. With that being said, Marshelle is easily one of Dr. Segals MVP dental assistants. With a charismatic personality and infectious smile, she makes every one of our patients feel comfortable and happy to see the dentist. Outside of the office, Marshelle enjoys spending time with her daughter and family.
Zakia has been improving patients smiles as a hygienist since she graduated from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center with her Bachelors in Hygiene. She also received her Bachelors in Dentistry from her home country of Bangladesh. Every patient that sits in her chair has a unique and personalized experience that keeps them asking for her by name. When Zakia isnt ensuring every patient has a sparkling clean smile, she enjoys spending time with her husband and children.
Charmae has been working as a dental hygienist since July of 2018. She graduated from Eastern International College in Early 2018 and from University of the East College of Dentistry, Manila, Philippines with a Doctor of Dental Medicine in 2003. As a vital part of The Art of Smile team, Charmae uses her knowledge and experience to provide outstanding service to every one of our patients. When Charmae isnt ensuring every patient has a clean, healthy mouth, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family, friends and beloved dog.

100% recommend! I made the decision to get veneers and just two weeks later I had beautiful new teeth! Dr. Siegel took the time to first create a mock trial on my teeth to see if I even liked the way I would look and he did it at no charge! Once I decided to proceed he ordered my veneers and they were here in 2 weeks. He was so professional and made me feel very comfortable. He does great work and I couldn't be happier. I highly recommend Dr. Siegel and his staff.

I can't even put into words how great this office is. Easy appointment scheduling, super friendly staff, state of the art equipment (really cool tech). Dr. Segal is great. Very knowledgeable, talented, and funny!! Came in for a consult and walked out with the procedure I was consulting on. Most importantly, he was able to figure the root of the problem instead of just repairing the damage- something no other office has been able to do.

I had terrible pain and needed to remove tooth. I found this place on a google call them and they made appointment the same day. When I entered the office I knew I was in a right place , because the atmosphere and friendly welcoming smile on everybody's face. Dr.Melkumian is highly professional , educated and most caring doctor I ever met . She knew what she was doing. No pain at all not in the process and not after the procedure. Finding a good dentist is a rarity and finding the best, is as close to running into a unicorn. Dr. Zev Segal is what I deem to be a unicorn in dentistry. I had a dental issue with nearly all of my teeth and urgently needed a dentist in the Morris County area (just moved here). I interviewed close to 10 of the most "highly rated" dentists, finding myself in consultations for over 60 min, with absurd diagnosis and no follow-ups. It was apparent that upon meeting Dr. Segal, he was (is) a master in is craft as he accurately diagnosed my dental issues w/in 30-45 min and created a treatment plan that made sense. Approx. three months later, my smile and dental health is the best it has ever been. My worries on dealing with a dentistry hack have been relieved and I pray he doesn't retire for a very long time!
