First off, check in was easy, wait time was next to nil and the services provided to me were exceptional. I have visited the dentistry on 4 occasions the past year, 2 exams, one cleaning, a molar extraction with bone graft and a follow up exam. Ive waited until now to provide a review. The administrators, hygienists, equipment technicians and dentists have all been very professional and the results have mirrored the professionalism. Im super satisfied with this office and all its staff.

I saw Abby, the Dental Hygienist, for a checkup. It is always nice visiting with her. Dr Horwitz was actually there, but said he was part-time and going to be retiring soon. I will miss him! He has been the best over the many years! I will be seeing Dr Shuck on my next visit and look forward to meeting him. I would recommend this place to anyone who needs a great dentist!

Dr. Horwitz, Dr. Dorfman and Beth my hygienist are awesome. They are caring, thorough, gentle and I trust them completely. IMO these are the best dentists and staff ever! The staff are friendly and efficient. I enjoy going to the dentist.

Dr. Dorfman and his staff are the best. My son had two cavities filled yesterday. He was really nervous and apprehensive. They reassured him and fixed him right up. Our while family goes to the Art of Dentistry- the hygienists are the best. They are great for both kids and adults! Highly recommend!

This practice is second to none. Their facility is state of the art, the staff is as friendly as they are skilled, and they are always attentive to my dental needs. During my last cleaning, I mentioned that it felt like I had a bony growth on the inside of my jaw to the hygienist. Next thing I know, Dr. Shuck made time to come do a full exam and deal with it. World class.

Drs Horwitz, Dorfman and Shuck always treat their patients with kindness, compassion and respect. Their staff is knowledgeable and efficient. I am a fearful dental patient and Dr Dorfman does a wonderful job putting me at ease. Im usually on a tight schedule & can count on being seen on time. They have all the modern technology! No more oooey goooey impressions or sharp edged X-ray films. Its all digital now. They even do Invisalign and cosmetic work. This office can meet your entire familys dental needs.

Best dentist ever!!Having bad luck with dentists and moving around a lot I had the pleasure of coming across Dr.Dorfman and his staff in 2015, in addition to pleasant service I decided to have a large cosmetic procedure done and it was well worth it.Dr.Dorfman changed my life!, and changed it for the better, Jenny , my hygienist is also beyond skilled and good at her job, helps that she loves it so much.Im writing this as I visit Virginia Beach, I have driven up from Florida and made it a point to schedule a cleaning and this time living in Vermont I literally flew down just to see Dr.Forman for a repair and cleaning as I dont trust the quality and care of other dentists.Beyond words how awesome this team is.Thank you!!!

Absolutely love coming here. My regularly dental hygienist is so sweet and listens to my comments and concerns with my teeth. And they office really trys to make everything convenient for the clients. I need a cavity filled and they were able to make my 6 month cleaning and filling back to back on the same day. This is really worth the drive for me to stick with them.

WOW, just WOW, never thought that I would look forward to Dentistry visits but Dr D and all staff was/is efficient yet gentle throughout the entire procedure(s) including billing. Since I am terrified by syringes, I insisted upon no local anesthetic. They initially questioned that decision but agreed to proceed with caution. The procedure was not painless BUT was amazingly tolerable. Wow, these folks are great at what they do and I am very greatful and happy to have found them. I highly recommend them to any and all looking to improve their dental health. 10 stars if I could, thank you.....much love!

I have always had a great experience with the staff at the Art of Dentistry. Personally I see Dorfman as does the rest of my family. He is great with adults and children. He is professional and is great with patient interaction. I also have had no problems with the staff in the office. My hygienist is great, and all of the front office staff have been accommodating and helpful as well. I also appreciate all of the extra measures they are taking during this pandemic to ensure patients are safe.

I have always had a good experience here. Thus far, I only have to go in for my six month prophylaxis. My hygienist (Sara Jeffers) is always prompt, thorough, and takes time to share with me any condition she runs across during the procedure. Dr. Dorfman never fails to disappoint with his explanations which are concise and in layman's terms. Highly recommend this team.

Best dentist in Hampton Roads! The people are all great, very friendly and helpful. Dr Horwitz always has a great, positive attitude and explains everything he is doing. He is always very careful to make sure you are as comfortable as possible. The technicians and office staff operate the same way. I wouldn't go to anyone else.

If there is a concern or fear of COVID 19 I found the office and staff adhered to all the safety protocols required by the state and ADA and felt completely comfortable. Thank you for the wonderful dental care Dr. Dorfman.

I felt very safe coming in to get my cleaning. They screened me and my hygienist talked me through all the new safety steps that, we, as a team, have to go through now. Nothing scary and even though I was only a few months late, it felt great to have my teeth cleaned and polished! Love The Art of Dentistry!

I used to really hate visiting the dentist. But at Dr. Horwitz's office I feel like they really care and are concerned about my dental health. They always go out of their way to explain any procedure I've had or might be considering. Everyone is friendly and courteous. Now I don't mind visiting the dentist anymore.

I am very pleased with the office of Dr. Abbey Horwitz. It is a very professional & clean environment. The dentist's are both exceptional. The staff are also very professional and friendly. The atmosphere is very positive. It seems they are all happy with their jobs and all get along well. The doctors, hygienist and assistants are wonderful. The front desk seems to have an attitude problem. Not only with their other coworkers but to us patients as well. We know nobody wants to be at work but at least pretend while your there!

Kristy is one of our dental hygienists who has been keeping your smile sparkling for the past 10 years. She attended Old Dominion University in Norfolk where she received her bachelors degree in the science of dental hygiene in 2002.

Abby Weddell, RDH, BSDHAbby is our newest hygienist and was born and raised in Virginia Beach, graduating from Cox High School in 2010.She earned her Bachelors degree in Dental Hygiene with honors from VCU School of Dentistry in 2015.Abby worked in Richmond several years after graduating, but now she couldnt be happier to be back in her hometown.

Lissi received her Bachelors of Science degree in Dental Hygiene from Old Dominion University, graduating Summa Cum Laude. She loves to create long-term bonds with our Hampton Roads patients while working together to improve their oral health.

Jenny grew up in a military family but considers North Carolina home. Her career in dentistry began in the Navy as a dental assistant, while on active duty she graduated from Coastal Carolina Community College with an Associates in Applied Science of Dental Hygiene in 2006. In 2010 after almost 10 years of active military service, Jenny entered in to private practice and loves building relationships with her patients.

Sara, a Virginia Beach native, has been with The Art of Dentistry since July 2016. She is a graduate of James Madison University where she obtained her Bachelors Degree in Business Marketing. After spending some time in Colorado, Sara moved to Nashville and went to dental hygiene school at Western Kentucky University where she graduated Summa Cum Laude.
