Dr. Maria Seo began her patient care experience at Stony Brook University Hospital, where she worked as a Dental Clinic Volunteer. After completing her Bachelor of Science/Health Science degree at Stony Brook University, Dr. Seo received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine.
While educating and practicing in school, she participated various community outreaches in different states, where she provided free dental examinations, oral hygiene instructions, restorations and oral surgeries for neighborhood people.
Dr. Seo completed her General Practice Residency at New York Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn. Here she performed comprehensive dental services, including implant and cosmetic dentistry, periodontal and endodontic therapy, emergency treatment among many others. Dr. Seo is versed in treating patients of all ages and conditions, including pediatric, geriatric and medically compromised individuals.
After hours Dr. Seo enjoys cooking, reading and spending time with her family. Swimming, jogging and bicycling are some of her favorite hobbies. Dr. Seo and her staffs are fluent in English, Chinese and Korean.
Following a Bachelor of Science degree from North Carolina State University, Dr. Kim received his DDS (Doctor of Dental Surgery) from New York University College of Dentistry. He was elected to membership in Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU), the National Dental Honor Society. He was also one of few who were selected in Implant and TMJ Honors programs. Following dental school, he completed a training in General Practice Residency at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center.
Dr. Kim completed specialty surgical training in Periodontics and Implantology from the State University of New York at Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Kim is a Board- Certified Periodontist and a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology.
Dr. Kim is an active member of the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Periodontology, the American Board of Periodontology, the Academy of Osseointegration, the Northeastern Society of Periodontists, International Congress of Oral Implantologists, the New York State Dental Association, and Nassau County Dental Society. He is fluent in Korean and English.

Don't ever go to this place unless you want to end up doing root canal!!! My daughter had some minor cavities which didn't bother her at all until this Korean lady dentist did her fillings. She drilled deeper than they needed to. It's too close to the nerve. My daughter has been having pain till now 10 days after the filling done, she couldn't eat and sleep. Now she needs root canal !!! The other dentist in this office is trying to cover up for the one who messed up. She made it sound like it's the patient's problem. I really hope everyone reads this review. Don't take a risk going there!!! You will regret!!!

Took x-rays, then a different doctor came to examine. When asked for Dr. Seo, told no, she's pregnant, and even though she was there, I had to be seen by the dentist that walked in my examination room. Not happy about the switcheroo, and not privy to this new dentist(who just started practicing in 2019 I believe) untill all my x-rays were done. So, stuck. Not ethical in my view.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! My family has been going to this dental practice for some years now, from when it was just my husband and I before we had our two children. My coworker recommended it, and I am so glad she did. This is hands down the BEST dental office I have ever been to. We LOVE Dr. Maria Seo and all of the staff are amazing! The interior is stylish and inviting, and always clean. Our son doesn't love getting his teeth checked, but they make it as comfortable as possible for him. He loves the play room there! A year ago we moved further out to Brooklyn, but we still make the trek twice a year to Bayside because we so love our experience here and with Dr. Seo! She's the best! I recommend this office to everyone!

SUPER unprofessional. So my mom had to get a molar removed and ty dental referred her to a place that could do it and assured her that they would send the xrays. She had to wait a month for the appointment and when she went for the appt about taking her tooth out, she waited an hour and then right before her turn, the receptionist tells her that they never received the xrays from thank you dental. She calls ty dental to see if she can get them sent over but its an off day and one of the managers picks up instead. He basically tells her it's impossible and when she starts asking why they never sent the xrays when they said they would, he starts cutting her off and blaming her. Basically saying you should have got them and taken them yourself but my mom DID ask for copies to be sent to her email. She never double checked because she assumed they would do as they said (send to her and to the dentist THEY referred her to). Then he basically yelled at her a little more and hung up on her. Obviously really unprofessional and rude. The fact that a MANAGER treated her that way was insane. Honestly my mom gets over things quickly and if he had just apologized and said they were understaffed because covid, she would have understood (I, her daughter, literally work in healthcare, she hears me complain all the time) but no, he yells at her and hangs up. Literally have NEVERRRR been or would treat a patient like that. It was a major time waster because she had to wait another month for the next appointment. She changed primary dentists the next day. There's about 20 other dentist offices in the area, don't come here, it's not worth the risk.

Only thing subpar here is the parking situation...Everybody is so welcoming and knowledgeable. They are appropriately staffed so that the wait time is short and you don't feel rushed. Dr. Maria spends as much time with you as you need and the staff is very helpful. Update: a filling that I got done here fell out, went back to get it fixed then it fell out again. I'm not sure if this was due to the materials used or my body. Dr. Maria quickly accommodated me to correct it

Excellent dental office. From the moment you walk in, the office looks very clean and organized. The decorations throughout the office make you feel welcome. Dental cleaning: My hygienist, Angie, did an outstanding job. She was very thorough and detailed. The cleaning and x-rays were performed with the utmost care. I am extremely satisfied. Dentist exam: Dr. Maria Seo was very professional, she took the time to examine my teeth and x-rays, she answered my questions and made recommendations for my dental health. Overall: This is my new dentist. I recommend anyone looking for an excellent dentist to choose Thank You Dental!

AMAZING!!! I didn't take pictures because I'm a shy wreck but the inside is so pretty and homey! The wait was non-existent and the dentists were very nice to me despite me almost choking on the water in my mouth- but yeah yeah go here please I hope this stays open forever

This dental office is phenomenal. The front desk is very attentive and organized and Dr. Maria is awesome. A very clean place and very welcoming. Came here about 2 years ago for a regular checkup/cleaning. Overall facility/staff are very nice and friendly. My issue is that I was told that I had a bunch of small cavities and needed to get them removed and filled. Since then 2 of these fillings have fallen out. One of which was repaired by another dentist, the other not only fell out but had already allowed another cavity to grow and require a root canal to fix. Sub-par work by far which is super unfortunate because the dentist and her staff were super nice and friendly.

I love this place, always so pleasant & helpful. Dr Anne is very knowledgeable, & has a great beside manner. The place is nicely decorated. Chic yet modern. Very comfortable w/ top of the line equipment. I recommended this place to both my parents, & other family & friends, who are now patients. Very professional. Great Customer Service.

This dental office is amazing!!! How can I describe Dr. Maria? She is an angel! I had a big issue that needed to get addressed. Other doctors don't seem to care about the patient but you can tell Dr. Maria is different. She is so nice & caring. I had a molar which was chipped but when I tried other doctors they were quick to say a root canal was necessary. I found Thank you Dental & decided to give them a try. I am soooo thankful that I did. Dr. Maria acknowledged the issue but was willing to save my tooth. I can tell she has extensive knowledge & skill. She was caring to listen and answer all my questions which made me feel at ease. The best part is she saved my tooth from a root canal by doing a filling instead. It's been more than 1 month since the procedure and I feel great!! This is why I consider Dr. Maria as my angel. I highly recommend anyone looking for an amazing dental doctor to come visit this office. Thank you so much!!
