Growing up, I knew three things for certain. I always wanted to be in the sciences, I enjoyed getting to know people, and I loved using my hands to tinker with things. Put those three elements together, and the medical profession seemed like a good fit. After volunteering in a dental office and a hospital dental unit, I knew general dentistry was for me.
I purchased my dental practice in Westfield in 1989, and decades later, were still growing and thriving. We run our office quite a bit differently than any other family dentist near me. Call us old school, but we like to pick up the phone and actually talk to patients, use the precision of film for diagnostics, and do all we can to make sure people can afford to have a healthy, beautiful smile.
This more human, and less sterile approach has kept many of our patients with us from age 3 to 93. As a general dentist, I specialize in family dentistry, cosmetic dentistry and implants, but you can see us for everything from routine exams and fillings, to crowns and root canals. Office Manager Part of our dental family since November 1989. I started working for Dr. Thaller over thirty years ago as a dental assistant. Since then, I have learned so many things about the dental profession, but the most important thing Ive learned is how a positive relationship with a patient could make their experience that much better. Becoming office manager is something I am very proud of and I love greeting each and every patient as they walk through the door. I try to make every person feel like they are being taken care of. When Im not at work I love spending time with my husband, two kids, and the rest of my family and friends. Luckily for me, the staff at Dr. Thallers has become my family too!
Administrative Assistant Joined our dental family February 1, 2003. Im really a N.Y. kind of girl. I was born in the Bronx, grew up in Queens and moved to N.J. in 1978. I have always loved being around people and have been told I have an outgoing personality. Working upfront in Dr Thallers office , greeting and helping patients has been a rewarding career for me. When i am there , it always feels like i am with family and friends . I work part time so that i can enjoy visiting my 9 grandchildren who live throughout the country.I also love the theater, concerts, shopping and lunching with my friends at home.
Dental Assistant Joined our dental family December 1997. I have been in the dental field for 23 years. I attended Empire Tech School where I received by CDA license in the dental assistant program. I enjoy what I do and am very passionate in helping and serving others. I strive in providing excellent patient care and it brings me much gratitude in seeing our patients leave our office with a smile of satisfaction on their faces.
Registered Dental Hygienist Joined our dental family October 2003. Many patients ask Why are you a hygienist?My reply is Because, I hate going to the dentist. I understand COMPLETELY how unnerving it can be as you walk through our door. I strive to make your visit as pleasant and comfortable of an experience as possible. The highlight of my day is seeing people smile! When I am not in the office you can find me enjoying the outdoors, in the company of my family and menagerie of animals.

Dr Thaller is the best dentist, we've been going to him for years. He is the only dentist I will have do anything. We live over an hour away and I wouldn't go anywhere else but to Dr Thaller. He is so kind , gentle and makes sure you're comfortable and not in pain . His dental hygienist are wonderful also and his dental assistant Delia is wonderful. Joanne and Sherry are wonderful up front At the desk and go out of their way to help anyone. I highly recommend Dr Thaller and his practice to anyone !

I have been going to Dr. Thaller for almost 20 years. When the doctor first started treating me, my teeth were in serious trouble. My gums had gingivitis, and I had to have 4 teeth removed. Through Dr. Thaler's care (and my following his treatment recommendations), my mouth has never been better. I think of him and his whole staff as friends... They are excellent!

Due to previous bad experiences with other dentists, I hadn't been to a dentist in over 12 years. Enter Dr. Thaller DMD, and I found my dentist for life. Very professional and patience with me, a nervous patient. Ten years later at age 63, I have all my teeth. Thank you Dr. Thaller!

My husband and two daughters have been patients of Dr Thaller for Many Years. His office staff is very friendly and welcoming and puts us right at ease! Dr Thaller is patient, gentle and very thorough. We never feel rushed and know we are getting the best care. If you are looking for a new Dentist, we would definitely recommend!

Everyone at Dr. Thaller's office is amazing. A friend who has been going to him since childhood recommended him to me years ago and I couldn't be happier. Everyone in the office is cheerful and helpful. They always run on time, return phone calls promptly, and work around my schedule. More than once I have called for a reschedule and Joanne is always able to find something that works for me. Just today I went in for a cleaning and Dr. Thaller did it himself - as the hygienist had an emergency and was out. Other locations may have pushed me to reschedule. Would recommend the entire office to anyone looking for a dentist!

I have been a patient of Dr. Thaller's for several years, after I was fortunate enough to be referred to him following the retirement of my previous dentist. Dr. Thaller and his staff are amazing. They are all genuinely friendly, kind, professional and accommodating. Dr. Thaller treats you with amazing respect. He is thorough and efficient, takes the time to explain what he feels is necessary and discusses all the alternatives. He works very quickly with an especially gentle approach. I had a cracked tooth and needed to be evaluated by a dentist as soon as possible, and Doctor Thaller's office took my call and saw me within an hour! These guys are so nice and are so accommodating I cannot recommend them enough. I guess I've got a new dentist! Thanks guys =)

I have been a patient of Dr Thallers office for 20 years. I would never consider going anywhere else. He and the staff are great! Everyone is so friendly and they truly care about their clients. In 20 years I have never had anything but pleasant happy experiences. I am rough on my teeth (heavy popcorn eater) and they are always here to take care of me. If you are in the area and in need of dental attention, just go to Dr. Thaller. You will not regret it. You will also become a 20 year plus patient.

Dr Jeffrey Thaller is a consummate professional, fast and efficient in his work, who also makes every effort to ensure the comfort of his patient. Going to the dentist, for most people, isn't the highlight of their day. Dr Thaller's chair-side manner, as well as his dexterity and years of experience, make a dental procedure ALMOST enjoyable. I have been a patient of Dr. Thaller's for over 15 years. Everything is amazing about the office. It is a well-oiled machine and Joanne runs it with a healthy mix of professionalism and friendliness. Dr. Thaller's dental team is amazing as well - I've had the pleasure of their expertise over many years (and multiple people) and they are always respectful and kind. Finally, Dr. Thaller is the chief reason I continue to go year after year. He sets the tone of kindness and professionalism. He is efficient and concentrates on how you are doing as a patient during your visit. It took several visits to determine the optimal dose of novocaine for me and since then, every time I come in it is spot on. He is so aware of any pain you might feel as a patient and is constantly checking with you about it. His referrals have been excellent as well, as I've had to visit a few other local professionals and all were worth the visit. It is always worth the time (it is slightly out of the way for me) to visit him.

Our family of 5 started going to Dr. Thaller soon after he acquired his practice in Westfield in 1989. He is kind and professional and most importantly he is an excellent dentist. And, he has a gentle touch! The entire staff is equally professional and accommodating. You are always greeted with a smile and appointments are always promptly kept. They never keep you waiting.
