Raised in Wichita Falls, Texas, Dr. Gillespie graduated fromMidwestern State University and attended the University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston, graduating in 1980. After dental school, he honorably served in the United States Air Force while stationed at Wiesbaden Regional Medical Center from 1980 to 1984. During that time, he received several honors, including the Defense Meritorious Service Medal for work identifying the Marines who died in 1983s Beirut bombing. He also served on the team that examined and treated hostages released from Tehran.

Dr. Gillespie returned to Texas in 1984 to work as an associate with Dr. Maury Hafernik. In 1985, he started his own practice in northwest Austin. A new chapter began in 2001, when he & his wife, Kerstin, opened a practice in Liberty Hill (40 minutes northwest of Austin). At ease treating patients of all ages, Dr. Gillespie enjoys working with people to develop oral health plans that will improve their quality of life and health for years to come.

A member and Fellow of theAcademy of General Dentistry, Dr. Gillespie is a mentor with the world-renowned Kois Centerand a former instructor with the Hornbrook Group. Active in the community, he also serves as the dental director for Samaritan Health Ministriesin Cedar Park, Texas. This organization treats indigent patients or those who do not have medical coverage. Dr. Gillespie is owner of the Dental Genius Assisting School, which teaches interested students how to become successful dental assistants.

Dr. Thad Gillespie and Dr. Kerstin Gillespie are newly empty nesters, since the recent graduation of their youngest son. Together they are enjoying camping, fishing, cooking, and free time together. Dr. Kerstin, a Nurse Practitioner Neurologist in Cedar Park, and Dr. Thad shared the vision to bring a state-of-the-art practice to Liberty Hill. In 2015, that vision has became a reality! In October 2015 Liberty Hill Dental opened its new state of art facility, and in 2016 the Liberty Hill Learning and Event Center opened adjacent to the dental facility.

Originally from Connecticut, Dr. Felicetta, moved to Texas to attend the University of Texas at Austin. Once at UT, he fell in love with the 40 acres and the great Longhorn traditions, serving as a member of The Texas Cowboys.

Following his time at UT Austin, Dr. Felicetta attended The University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio where he graduated dental school with highest honors and was inducted in to the Omicron Kappa Upsilon honor society. Following dental school, he moved to Seattle to continue his training at the Swedish Medical Center General Practice Residency. This program focused on the comprehensive dental treatment of patients with complex medical conditions, high anxiety, special needs such as neurological/intellectual disabilities and extreme dental phobias. In addition, he gained additional experience in oral/IV conscious sedation (twilight dentistry), third molar (wisdom teeth) extractions and implant dentistry. Dr. Felicetta has recently started advanced cosmetic and restorative dental training at the world-renowned Kois Center.

Dr. Felicetta and his wife met during undergraduate studies at UT, and were married in April 2018 at The Lady Bird Johnson Wildlife Center in Austin. They both love being outside and exploring new national parks. On the weekend you can find them hiking with their dog Lola or finding a new spot to photograph. Dr. Felicetta is excited to be back in the great state of Texas and serve the Liberty Hill community. He lives by the timeless motto of the Texas Cowboys, Give the best you have to Texas, and the best will come back to you.

Dr. Geoffrey Mateo loves getting to know his patients and believes going to the dentist should be a comfortable and positive experience. As an avid lifelong learner, Dr. Mateo strives to deliver only the highest quality, state-of-the-art dentistry for his patients while caring for them like family.

Dr. Mateo is actively involved in his profession and regularly takes continuing education courses to hone his skills. In 2019, Dr. Geoff Mateo was nominated for Texas New Dentist of the Year. He currently serves as a board director for the Central Texas Academy of General Dentistry, and is an Advocacy Council member for the Texas Academy of General Dentistry.

Dr. Mateo completed his undergraduate studies with a Bachelors Degree in Integrative Biology from the University of California, Berkeley. He earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. Upon graduation from dental school, Dr. Mateo was inducted into Honos Civicus, an honor society that publicly recognizes exemplary active citizens and exceptional commitment to community service and civic engagement.

Dr. Mateo completed additional training in advanced dental techniques and procedures through a residency program at Winslow Indian Healthcare Center, where he trained under the guidance of different specialists and gained experience with implant dentistry, pediatric dentistry, digital dentistry, emergency dentistry, clear aligners, and more.

In addition to striving for excellence in his professional life, Dr. Mateo continually challenges himself physically through his lifelong fitness goals. He has been dedicated to weightlifting and calisthenics for the past ten years. He has also practiced martial arts for 13 years and holds a black belt in Shotokan Karate. In addition to dentistry and fitness, Dr. Mateos favorite things include Batman, movies, and spending time having laughs with his wife, Melody, & their two dogs, Mochi and Maple.

Amanda and her family are local to Liberty Hill. She was born in West Palm Beach, Florida but was raised in Liberty Hill and graduated from Liberty Hill High School. Prior to graduating from the Dental Genius Assisting School in August 2019, Amanda worked in the dental field before joining the Liberty Hill Dental team in January 2020. Amanda is married to her elementary school sweetheart!She fell in love with dentistry by helping her own four children to understand the connection between their health and teeth.She enjoys watching her kids cheer, sing in the choir, play in the band, hang around campfires with family and friends and working out.

Amber joined the Liberty Hill Dental Team in August of 2021 shortly before graduating the Dental Genius Assisting School. She grew up in a small town and loves the outdoors and her family. When she isn't at work she is spending time with family, either hunting and fishing with her dad or shopping and drinking coffee with her mom, and of course sometimes hanging out with her brothers!

After graduating from the Dental Genius Assisting Schoolin September 2018, Ana immediately joined the Liberty Hill Dental family. Because of her enthusiastic personality and her experience with DGAS as well as hands-on chair-side, she was recruited to be an instructors aide for the school only 3 months later! Ana brings a welcoming smile with every student and patient she meets. When she is not at work, Ana enjoys working out, visiting friends and taking her dog, Bella, to the dog park.

Brooke and her family are Liberty Hill locals. In June 2017, Brooke joined the Liberty Hill Dental team while attending the Dental Genius Assisting School. After working for a year as a dental assistant, she attended Blinn College where she earned her Associates of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene. While attending Hygiene school, she worked for Liberty Hill Dental as a dental assistant during the holidays and summers. She joined the Liberty Hill Dental team as a licensed Hygienist in June of 2020. Brooke loves to meet new people and build relationships with her patients. Outside of work, Brooke enjoys running, spending time with her husband Kody, traveling, running, family, and friends! You may also find her painting or remodeling something in her house or doing a fun DIY project on a great item she found at a garage sale or thrift store.

Chrissa and her family are Liberty Hill locals. Chrissa joined the Liberty Hill Dental team in March 2019 prior to graduating from Dental Genius Assisting School in May. Being able to learn every aspect of the dental office hands-on has allowed Chrissa to gain experience from front office administrative duties as well as chair side. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and traveling.

Danielle joined the Liberty Hill Dental team in August 2012. She graduated from Fayetteville Technical Community College and has over 16 years of experience as a dental hygienist. She loves caring for patients and forming lasting relationships with them. When shes not in the office shes in nature as much as possible. She loves traveling with her family and friends and experiencing all the outdoor adventures associated; climbing, fly-fishing, hiking, mountain biking, star gazing, tree bathing, cold plunging all of the goodness the outdoors provides! She is committed to living a long healthy able-bodied/mind life, and prioritizes nutrition with movement through running, functional fitness, yoga and has a dedicated meditation practice.She loves sharing all of her acquired knowledge andexperienceto provide the highest quality of care for her patients as a whole!

After graduating from the Dental Genius Assisting School in 2016, Ellie joined the Liberty Hill Dental team in January of 2017. She grew up in Lampasas, where she still lives with her young son and family. Ellies bright smile and infectious laugh ensure that our patients feel at their most comfortable. When shes not at the office, she enjoys traveling to new places, shopping, and spending time outdoors.

Katy is a Liberty Hill local and joined the Liberty Hill Dental Family in 2021. After attending Kindergarten through 12th Grade in Liberty Hill ISD, she graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Sociology. She then went on and attained her Associates of Applied Science degree in Dental Hygiene at Lone Star College. She enjoys getting to know each one of her patients and creating relationships that last. Katy believes the entire body is connected, and having good oral health is critical in maintaining overall health. In her free time, you can find Katy with her husband lifting heavy weights and drinking lots of coffee. She competes frequently in CrossFit competitions around the state, and shes always ready for an adventure!

Mackenzie Kenzie joined the Liberty Hill Dental Team in June of 2020 just before entering the Dental Genius Assisting School later that month where she graduated and earned her Registered Dental Assistant Certification. Getting to work hands on with experienced dental assistants and the dentists, gave her the experience that helped her hone her skills for the dental field. She enjoys all of the hard work that goes into caring for all of our patients. Outside of work she enjoys spending time outside with friends and family and her puppy Charlie. Kenzie is looking forward to becoming more knowledgeable in the career of dental assisting here at Liberty Hill Dental.

Mary Jo joined the Liberty Hill Dental team in 2008. She graduated from Wharton County Junior College earning her Associates of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene before attending Texas State University, formally known as Southwest Texas University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Health Professions degree. She believes its important to build a relationship with her patients and her patients love her. Mary Jo and her husband, Jeff, enjoy spending time with their two sons, Michael and Chris and his wife Kelsey. Mary Jo enjoys gardening, traveling with family and friends and spending time outdoors.

Traci joined the Liberty Hill Dental team in April 2019 and has been part of the Liberty Hill community since 2007. She has over 20 years experience working in the clinical field. She has extensive knowledge of medical and dental insurance. From insurance processes with authorizations, claims and coordination of benefits to understanding the ins and outs of how benefits work and what to expect. When shes not working, she enjoys being outside, spending time on the lake, fishing with her husband and daughter, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
