His commitment to creating healthy, beautiful smiles that last a lifetime began a Bachelor of Science Degree fromOhio State Universityin 1978, followed by his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree fromCase Western Reserve Universityin 1982.

In 1986, Dr. Jim opened his own orthodontic practice in Mt. Lookout. Shortly after, he opened a second office in Anderson Township to meet the growing needs of his patients. In 1991, he expanded his Cincinnati practice to its current location in Anderson Township.

In 2003, Dr. Jim opened an additional office in Hillsboro to better serve the community and his patients. In 2006, the Anderson location was awarded the Anderson Township Beautification award for Small Businesses.

In 2001, Dr. Jim was accredited as a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. This distinguishment is reserved for an orthodontic specialist who has made significant achievements beyond the mandatory educational requirements of the specialty.

Dr. Jim is a certified Invisalign provider and also specialized in interdisciplinary adult care. Hes able to offer you the highest quality of care using the most up-to-date products and technology available.

After becoming interested in orthodontics at a young age, she worked as a chairside technician at Thacker Orthodontics during the summer while in high school in college. She joined the team full-time as an orthodontist in 2017.

After graduating from Saint Ursula Academy in 2005, Dr. MaryEvan attended Vanderbilt University to earn her undergraduate Bachelor of Arts in Biological Sciences degree in a minor in Medicine, Health, and Society.

Dr. MaryEvan then attended the University of Louisville School of Dentistry, where she earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree, graduating Magna Cum Laude and third in her class. While a student there, she was elected to membership in Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the National Honor Dental Society for her exceptional academic performance.

Dr. MaryEvan completed her three-year orthodontic residency training at the Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine (where Dr. Jim Thacker also received his orthodontic training!)

Lindas been with us since 2009, and has been a dental assistant for over 35 years! With an eye for details and an artistic flair, Linda brings something unique to each interaction she has with patients.

From x-rays to digital scans, to assisting with applying braces, Linda can combine her years in the field and her dedication to learning new techniques with her caring nature to present patients with a confident, competent orthodontic experience.

A Cincinnati native, Katrina is our longest-serving team member, having been with us for over 31 years! Katrina isnt a fan of sweating the small stuff and keeps her eye on long-term patient goals as a clinical coordinator and inventory manager.

She also works chairside and fills in assisting clinicians as needed. Katrina is compassionate and dedicated and thrives on helping those in need. As long as they dont need anything while Duke is playing!

Aside from college basketball, she loves birdwatching and antiquing, and has quite the green thumb. When shes not working, Katrina enjoys spending time with her husband, family and friends, and especially her grandchildren.

Although Heather is one of our newer team members, shes been assisting in orthodontics for over twenty years. Heathers positive attitude makes an impression around the office every day. She assists with braces placements, monthly adjustments, x-rays, and scans.

Cathy has been a part of our team for over a decade now but has been in the dentistry field for over thirty years. This Super Grammy (were allowed to call her that) gets to be part of the best day for most braces patients - the day they come off!

Cathys love of serving others is an asset in the office and out of it. Shes active in her local Womens Ministry. She spends time with family and friends, investing in something very important to her - a legacy of compassion.

Cheryl is one of the most senior members of our team, having worked here for nearly thirty years! An almost lifelong Cincinnatian, Cheryls positivity around the office is contagious, and she wont settle for anything less than making smiles.

Clifton joined the Thacker team about a year ago, and we love having him around! With a great eye for detail, dedication to patients, and a fun-loving personality, he contributes to both the efficiency of our team, as well as fostering the kind of positive atmosphere we work to create for each person that walks through our door.

On any given day, shes helping new patients with consults and insurance questions, posting payments and prepping contracts, billing insurance companies, and filling in on the phones and at the front desk as needed. Its a good thing shes as athletic as she is!

With a keen attention to detail, Kate keeps us all in order. Because shes such a people person, we dont even mind if she has to boss us around sometimes, especially when it comes to remembering to recycle.

Sarah is our newest orthodontic technician, and were so excited to have her as part of the Thacker team! Born in nearby Ft. Wayne, but a longtime Cincinnatian, Sarah has been in orthodontics for almost twenty years.

Jamie strives for every patient to leave feeling positive and encouraged. In her spare time she enjoys going to the gym, spending time with her two sons, two dogs, extended family and also participates in the short term foster program with the Clermont County Animal Shelter.
