The prospect of undergoing oral surgery can be an intimidating one. Whether your teenager is overdue to have their wisdom teeth removed, or youre ready to overcome significant tooth loss with the transformative power of dental implants, you can rest assured that you and your family are in the very best of hands with Dr. Wendling. Texas Wisdom Teeth provides experienced, compassionate, and specialized care with plenty of Texas charm. Better yet, our knowledgeable team partners closely with patients to make their dentistry as affordable as possible, working with insurance plans and offering valuable specials that will make your experience as stress-free as possible.
Big corporate surgical offices often end up making their patients feel like theyre simply part of an assembly line; theyll see you on schedule, but they wont take the time to address your personal concerns or explain your options in detail. Being a locally owned and operated oral surgery office gives Texas Wisdom Teeth a chance to provide more of a personal touch. Your experience will be customized so that you stay comfortable and confident with your care throughout the entire process.
A truly excellent oral surgeon is always careful to choose the best instruments for the job. In order to do that, we need to stay up to date with the latest technology. Doing so allows us to perform more comfortable procedures in much less time. For example, by using digital X-rays instead of traditional film X-rays, we can produce higher quality images of your mouth much faster than we could before, and we can complete the process while exposing you (and our staff) to far less radiation.
Some oral surgery offices might try to push you towards costly procedures that youre not fully comfortable with. Our caring dental team at Texas Wisdom Teeth, however, is fully on your side. All of our team members place your oral health and comfort above all else, and theyll always make personalized recommendations just for you. When you walk into our oral surgery office, you can be sure that youll be greeted with a smile and a staff that cant wait to help you!
Dr. Cameron Cam Wendling has nearly 10 years of dental and surgical experience. He thoroughly enjoys meeting new people and building relationships with his patients as well as the community at large. Nothing makes him happier than being able to use his skills to improve peoples health and sense of wellbeing on a daily basis. To learn how Dr. Cam made his way to Dallas all the way from his hometown in Charleston, West Virginia, read on below.
At a young age, Dr. Cam was naturally drawn to dentistry. When he was about five or six years old, he had a project at school where he was supposed to draw what he wanted to be when he grew up. He ended up drawing a tooth! His own childhood dentist was also an excellent example of how dentistry could be used to help those in need. Years later, he shadowed his hometown oral/maxillofacial surgeon and quickly fell in love with the profession. His passion continued through college and dental school, and he still feels it every day when he steps into our oral surgery office.
After receiving his bachelors in Exercise Physiology from West Virginia University, he immediately applied and was accepted into their dental school. He knew from the beginning that he wanted to be an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, so after completing his degree, he accepted a yearlong internship at Parkland Memorial Hospital at the University of Texas Southwestern. He then completed a four-year residency program at Christiana Care Health Systems in Wilmington, DE.
Dr. Cam actually met his wife, Laura, in Dallas during his internship, and they were married in January 2017. They welcomed their daughter, Elle Catherine, in November 2018. While away from the dental office, he enjoys spending most of his time with his growing family and being out on the golf course. He is (still) a huge WVU football fan, and his family is actually the third longest standing season ticket holders for the team. He tries to make it back for as many games as possible.
