Dr. Lauren Austin was born and raised in the Spring area and attended Klein High School, where she met her husband, Hayden. She attended Texas A&M University and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a dual degree in Biomedical Science and Nutrition. For her dental degree, she attended the University of Texas School of Dentistry at Houston, where she excelled in patient relations and clinical skills.

From day one of dental school, Dr. Austin knew that dentistry was what she was born to do. The technical aspect thrills her because every day brings a new challenge with regards to restoring a patients smile. She loves working with her hands, perfecting the art of smile design and restoration, and also being able to provide relief for patients who are in pain. The people aspect of dentistry is equally as thrilling to her. Dr. Austin loves being around people, talking to them (sometimes too much), hearing about whats going on in their lives, and being a part of the community she grew up in. Being a part of a team who is passionate about those same things is a blessing to her.

In her personal life, Dr. Austin and her husband, Hayden, have three beautiful daughters, Hayley, Katelyn, and Taylor. They often spend their weekends cheering the girls on during soccer games, volunteering with girl scouts, mentoring at a local group foster home (Hearts with Hope), and her favorite grilling some steaks and chilling out on the back patio. Dr. Austin looks forward to getting to know you and your family, too!

I've been coming here for years and my daughter's doing ortho here as well. I've recommended at least half a dozen people that actually come here as well. I had to take my daughter in today for an issue she was having with her braces. The dental assistant that took care of us, JESS, was extremely insensitive and condescending. We like this dental office (other than some minor scheduling issues) but beware of this JESS individual, super unprofessional and rude (reason for the 4 stars). On a lighter note, Betsy and Maria are awesome!! The new doctor they have there is super nice and informative!

Dr. Austin and Christina Harp as well as all of the ladies at the front desk are all super sweet an amazing. They do everything they can to make you comfortable and take amazing care of your teeth. They don't see you like just another customer but truly like a part of their family. I had never been a fan of the dentist until I started coming here and they have a forever client now! I give my utmost appreciation to all of these ladies, and highest recommendation of coming here. They're amazing at what they do, and they clearly love what they do and helping people and their teeth.

I used to see Dr Rollo here and absolutely loved her. I always felt like I was in good hands and trusted her judgement. I was really disappointed the last time I went and found out she was no longer with the practice. I was examined by the new dentist and suddenly had a cavity that needed to be filled that had been watched for several appointment without change, I needed to get sealants on all my other teeth, and needed to get my crown replaced because it was too old. At 35 years old, it was the first time I have ever been told my crown even might need to be replaced. And I had NEVER been advised to seal the remaining unseal teeth. It was just very strange and I almost felt a little distrust - like there were ulterior motives and wanted me to spend more money. I'm really disappointed as I have always loved coming here but unsure that I will continue to do so.

I went to Texas Star Dental at 7am on July 14, 2022 to get a deep cleaning on the right side of my mouth. Dr. Rollo had to give me additional anesthetic. I noticed my tongue was numb, as the anesthetic wore my tongue remained numb. I decided to go home early from work to sleep it off. The following day my tongue was still numb. I called Texas Star Dental first thing that morning and spoke to the receptionist. She stated Dr. Rollo said it can take some time for the anesthetic to wear off but did not provide a timeframe. I became alarmed, later that day I went to the office in person and spoke with Dr. Rollo. She assured me that she did not hit a nerve and that it take a few days for feeling to return back to my tongue. I am writing this review a month after my visit to say I still have NOT received full sensation in my tongue. After my in person visit no one from the office called me to check on me or offer any type of empathy. I have never experienced this level of unprofessionalism and lack of concern from a dentist. If I could give negative stars I would. I was advised to seek legal representation and I will. It has been a month and it is clear Dr. Rollo hit a nerve and I am not sure if I will ever get full sensation in my tongue.
