Dr. Stewart is one of the leaders in oral surgery and dentistry in the state of Texas, with over 35 years of experience practicing oral and maxillofacial surgery procedures. His emphasis is dental implants, complex implant reconstruction cases, bone grafting, All-on-Four, and computer image-guided surgical procedures.
Dr. Stewart earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery from Baylor College of Dentistry before completing his specialty training and obtaining his Master of Science in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center- Houston in 1982.
Since 2005, Dr. Larry R. Stewart, has been featured in Texas Monthly as a Super Dentist and in D Magazine as a Best Dentist in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Stewart has lectured extensively on implants and bone grafting procedures.
As part of his long history and involvement in community service, Dr. Stewart has attended mission trips to Kenya and Guatemala. In his free time, he is an avid amateur photographer and enjoys traveling and the outdoors.
The American College of Dentists (ACD) is the oldest major honorary organization for dentists. Its members have exemplified excellence through outstanding leadership and exceptional contributions to dentistry and society. The American College of Dentists was founded on August 20, 1920, to elevate dentistry standards, encourage graduate study, and grant Fellowship to those who have done meritorious work. The International College of Dentists (ICD) is a leading international honor society for dentists, conceived in 1920 with over 12,000 members (designated as Fellows). Fellowship in the College is by invitation only. Dr. Wayne A. Michael specializes in the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery, with a particular interest in dentoalveolar surgery, dental implant surgery, corrective jaw (orthognathic) procedures, and maxillofacial trauma. Dr. Michael is dual trained in both dentistry and medicine. Originally from North Carolina, he received his bachelor of science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a major in Biology and Chemistry. Dr. Michael then received his dental degree with honors from the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry. His medical degree was obtained from the prestigious UT Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas.
Following his dental training, he completed an internship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas. Following medical school, he completed an internship in General Surgeryoffering a solid foundation to manage the most medically complex patients. Dr. Michael also received extensive training in Anesthesiology through the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Management at UT Southwestern and Childrens Medical Center at Dallas. Dr. Michael completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery training at UT Southwestern/Parkland Memorial Hospitalinternationally known as one of the premier training programs in the specialty of oral and maxillofacial surgery. As part of his training, Dr. Michael has treated patients at Parkland Memorial Hospital, Childrens Medical Center of Dallas, The Veterans Affairs Hospital of Dallas, UT Southwestern University Hospitals, John Peter Smith Hospital, and Cook Childrens Medical Center. Dr. Michael is Board Certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
With extensive training in dentistry, medicine, anesthesiology, and surgery, Dr. Michael is uniquely qualified to treat a broad spectrum of oral and maxillofacial surgical issues for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and senior patients alike.

What a wonderful blessing Dr. Michael and his oral surgery team turned out to be. I was so impressed being a person that has always had a negative and painful experience with dental surgery. I had been told by another dentist that recommended Dr. Michael that I would need to be put to sleep to have two teeth removed. because of a medical condition I had. But after consulting with Dr. Michael he felt that I should not be put to sleep for the removal and he also felt no need to remove the second tooth. This gentle surgeon numbed my gum with like four local injections, sat and chatted with me for a couple of minutes until he felt the gum was numb. He tapped two times on my tooth and at that point his assistant told me my tooth was out. Oh my goodness, I have never had a pain-free tooth extraction before. Dr. Michael and his staff are incredible, and exactly what I had prayed for as I was so worried when I walked into their offices. Dr. Michael, and all of the Texas Oral Surgery Group went out of their way to make the whole experience fantastic for me... You guys are great, God bless you !

I've been working with Dr. Michael and his team for about six months now and I have absolutely no complaints. They've been helping me through the process of replacing a tooth I lost in a scooter crash. As a college student living away from home, I've really appreciated their kindness and willingness to answer any questions I have. I also went to Dr. Michael to get my wisdom teeth out recently, and I felt very safe and cared for throughout the experience. Also, the office always calls the day before an appointment to remind you, which has been super helpful! I can't recommend Texas Oral Surgery Group enough.

Went in for removal of a molar. They put me under and it was over in about 30 minutes. Everyone was pleasant and cheerful. The office had great Halloween decorations. Great experience.

I was nervous about my wisdom teeth removal surgery when I entered for my appointment. Melissa was absolutely amazing and help me calm my anxiety and assure me that everything was going to be okay but that i was valid for being nervous. They did an amazing job on the surgery. I am on day 4 after surgery and am already going back to work :)

I had to have all 4 wisdom teeth removed. My dentist recommended to go here. Every visit I had everyone was super nice and made you feel comfortable. It was clean and everyone was really caring. While waiting I had conversations with the assistants and we laughed and made me not so scared of my surgery I was about to have. 100% reccomend. They are just really really great!!

Nurses were really nice but when my fiance got wisdom tooth extractions the doctor forgot to sign off on the pain medication which caused a bunch of delays and complications at the pharmacy and left my fiance in pain all day without medicine. I had to go back up to the office to get the doctor to sign the card and wait all over again for the pharmacy to fill the prescription. I definitely feel like that is super irresponsible as a doctor and shouldn't happen.

The staff and the Dr Wayne are awesome and very friendly. Dr Wayne does Excellent work!!! I must say I really wasn't sure what to expect when I was referred to him, but from the minute I walked in the door the first day for my Consultation to the next appointment they had me so comfortable they explained everything to me sent me home with all the same things that they had just told me so in case I forgot anything I could review it. Plus gave me instructions for day of surgery and after so I would know what to expect. Morning of surgery, lol I am the difficult patient. My veins like to hide from the start then they roll or blow. I like the fact that a Dr will come in and try to help his nurses get a IV started and blood drawn so they can get started. So I will gladly continue to use Dr Wayne and his staff for all my needs should I have anymore!!! Plus I most certainly will recommend them! Thank you so much for the great job!! Also pretty much no pain at all the same day and since.....
