At Texas Institute of Oral, Facial & Implant Surgery, weve set the standard for providing excellent patient care and oral surgery services in a comfortable, friendly environment. Dr. Quinton Slaughter is trained and experienced in the full scope of oral and maxillofacial procedures, including dental implants, wisdom teeth and general tooth extractions, oral pathology, facial trauma and other complex treatments. Following Dr. Slaughters lead, our entire staff is dedicated to providing the best patient care possible. We utilize advanced imaging and diagnostic technologies to provide clear, high-quality images and measurements of your oral structures, including digital X-rays and 3D computed tomography (CT) scans. Because of the sometimes-complex nature of oral surgery, corrective jaw surgery, and dental implant procedures, we also offer intravenous (IV) sedation for a safe, deeply relaxing and comfortable experience throughout your treatment.
Dr. Quinton Slaughter is a board certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon. He is originally from Memphis, TN, and first came to Texas in 2011. He completed his undergraduate studies and received his Bachelor of Science degree at Auburn University, during which he also had the opportunity to study abroad in Salamanca, Spain, for his minor in Spanish.
Dr. Slaughter received his dental degree from Meharry Medical College, where he finished at the top of his class and was inducted into the illustrious OKU Dental Honor Society. Dr. Slaughter continued his education by receiving his medical degree from Texas Tech Health Science Center. He completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at the Texas A&M College of Dentistry (formerly Baylor College of Dentistry) after completing a one-year internship in general surgery at the prestigious Baylor University Medical Center.
Dr. Slaughter specializes in wisdom teeth removal, dental implants and reconstruction, orthognathic and facial trauma surgery, and oral pathology, and he has hospital privileges at Baylor University Medical Center, Texas Health Presbyterian Dallas, and Methodist Health Charlton with special certifications in PALS and ACLS. Please rest assured that we are in close daily monitoring of COVID 19 developments in partnership with our local and state health departments, World Health Organization (WHO), the US Center of Disease Control (CDC).
We want to personally reach out to share that in our office, we strictly adhere to or exceed the CDC guidelines for infection control in oral surgery health care settings, are dedicated to daily protocols of deep disinfection of the entire office, and sterilization of all instruments between patients. Your dental team is also committed to using appropriate protective garb such as gloves, gowns, masks, & eyewear to ensure infection control.

They were quick to get me in for a consult on Monday and I had my surgery that Wednesday! Such a lovely staff that was incredibly knowledgeable and caring. They went over all the possible payment options with me as well and were understanding of my financial situation. They went as far to discuss what would be the best option surgery wise for me in the long run that would even save me money. The pain I had from a tooth infection on a bad root canal (from my previous dentist) was gone instantly after surgery. Highly recommend!
