I often get asked how I ended up becoming a dentist. Honestly, it wasnt my first choice of career paths. As a kid, I dreamed of playing first base for the Atlanta Braves. Regretfully, between a shoulder injury and my inability to hit to the curveball, my baseball career never quite took off as I had hoped. I actually was pretty apprehensive about going to the dentist as a kid thanks to a broken tooth during a flag football game (long story). Thankfully, I had several dentists as family friends who mentored me and helped me overcome my apprehension and eventually sparked an interest in a career in dentistry for me. I love what I do and Im proud of what Ive accomplished because I get to help people smile every day.

Upon graduating from college, I spent four years in Oklahoma City receiving my dental training at the University of Oklahoma. Having family and many friends in the North Texas area, I returned to Texas upon graduation. I currently live in Fort Worth with my trusty sidekick, George the labradoodle. When Im not working, I enjoy golfing, hunting, fishing, and traveling. Dentistry is constantly growing and changing with technological advances. At Texas Grins, I feel we have an obligation to provide my patients with the latest and most advanced treatment options available. This is not something that is learned once but is an ongoing learning process through continuing education and a lifelong pursuit to be the best we can be at what we do.
