Whether in or out of the dental office, our team members believe in making a difference. As a result, we participate in many Kaufman community events, such as the Jubilee. For many years, weve also worked with the Helen Edwards Early Childhood Center to perform needed dental checks. In addition, we make presentations in health classes at local schools and help support donations for oral hygiene kits going overseas to those in need. We are always looking for other ways to be involved and help in our community!
Our humble beginnings started with Dr. Erik Harrington, his trusty 1989 Ram Charger, and some long, enlightening drives. Years ago, he began to visit different dental offices in rural towns and communities throughout Texas, providing specialty treatments there to patients in need. These experiences revealed a strong need for high-quality oral healthcare in these underserved areas and from there, the idea of starting Texas Dentistry formed!
More than anything, Dr. Harringtons goal was to create a new place where families and individuals in the rural and suburban areas outside of Dallas could turn to for reliable, affordable care that would result in lasting smile improvements. Today, with convenient dental offices in Mesquite, Terrell, and Kaufman, he and his team have definitely gone above and beyond in making this dream a reality.
For over five years now, Dr. Tran has been serving patients in Kaufman and the surrounding areas. In fact, she has been with our dental office since she graduated from dental school. Every day, she loves being able to serve such diverse people with their unique dental needs.
Dr. Tran grew up in San Diego and is also fluent in Vietnamese. While she attended college at the University of California in San Diego, she landed a dental assistant job during the summer before her junior year in order to fund a trip to Europe. Unexpectedly, she received excellent mentoring and fell in love with dentistry. Later, she graduated from Tufts School of Dental Medicine, and then she came to our dental office here in Kaufman with her husband, Dr. Lam.
Dr. DeLeon always loved going to the dentist, even when she was a young child, because she found the overall environment to be very calm and peaceful. After shadowing a dentist while in college and being encouraged to pursue the field as her career path, she made her choice and hasnt looked back! Being told about the need for minority/female dentists as a means to help bridge the gap between patient populations was a big source of inspiration for her; she also comes from a family with a long line of educators, who enthusiastically supported and encouraged her decision.
Dr. DeLeons college career started at Southwestern University. After the completion of her undergraduate degree, she achieved her doctorate at Texas A&M University College of Dentistry; she was also a post-baccalaureate fellow there. Today, she still enjoys taking continuing education courses to further improve her skills and expand her knowledge. She is certified in both Invisalign and Level 1 Minimal Sedation.
When she isnt busy at the dental office, Dr. DeLeon stays very active by running, doing Pilates, and enjoying nature on long hiking trails. Shes also a big tennis fan and has been playing since was eight years old! She even played at the collegiate level before.

Texas Dentistry was a wonderful place for my denture needs. Great staff, very friendly but also professional. I'd highly recommend them to anyone looking for a new dentist or even to switch your dentist.

This is not the place that they use to be... last year really awful. I use to be love this place for the doctor and the nurse and customer service, but now they are so busy that they don't even noticed they are rude and they never apologize if they did something wrong. They change your appointment sometime without call you (happens me twice) people work and get permits for get out for appointments and just because a doctor have an emergency but at least call the pacient and let them know. Last week I called 4 different times all day left voicemail they don't return my called (when they said they do) I decide to go and 5 persons chitchat and just one person on the phone. Really??? And one woman told me. We are so busy!!! And I said oh yes!!! I see you all are very busy that's not one return my called I left this morning on your voice mail... super bad service!!!

Jessica did my initial visit and cleaning. I've had this done several times over the years but I must say she made my visit the best yet. Not an ouch or an oops a single time. I'm no kid but if your children need a hygienist I can definitely recommend her.

I take both of my boys, ages 9 and 3, to Texas Dentistry in Kaufman and they are always so great with them both! Even when the threenager is not happy to be there!! Very patient and sweet with my babies!

Such a fun, friendly, but also professional Dentistry! Dr. Tran and Dr. Adam made me feel really comfortable and words can't describe how confident i am in my smile thanks to them. Oh! Great group of ladies. Thank you for taking care of my needs. I moved to Canton 5 years ago. I have tried other dentist offices and was not happy. Great staff and very happy with my dentist and look forward to future visits.

If you're looking for an excellent dentist or hygienist please go to Texas Dentistry in Kaufman. Dr Tran is so good and thorough, always watching or asking if you're hurting in any way. Great service. Stephanie is the best hygienist to clean your teeth. You won't be disappointed with their work.
