Dr. Mireya Imitola grew up in Barranquilla, Colombia where she did her Doctorate of Dental Surgery at Fundacin Universitaria San Martin. Dr. Imitola earned her certification in Prosthodontics from the University of Puerto Rico School of Dental Medicine. She has 15 years of experience in both hospital and private practice settings and received certificate in Prosthodontics from the University of Puerto Rico .
Dr. Imitola devoted her career to providing the highest quality of evidence-based dentistry to her patients. Her work includes helping individuals with oral cancer, crowns, veneers, whitening, dental implants, dentures and All on 4. She believes the most rewarding aspects of her profession as a Prosthodontist, is the opportunity to help others live life with more confidence and give them a beautiful smile.
Dr. Bruce Barbash chose to specialize in Prosthodonticsbecause it provides the opportunity to solve challenging dental problems. He is a graduate of Case Western Reserve University Dental School in Cleveland, Ohio. Upon graduation, he practiced General Dentistry in Ft. Worth, Texas for three years. During that time, he was profoundly influenced by the struggles of completely edentulous (no teeth) and partially edentulous (some teeth) patients to find treatment that restored both complete oral function and facial appearance. This led him to a residency in Prosthodontics and a fellowship in Maxillofacial Prosthetics at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas.
Upon completion, he joined the faculty at the University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston as an assistant professor in the Fixed Prosthodontic department. When Dr. Barbash moved back to Dallas, he established a private specialty practice limited to the following treatments: dental implants, restorative/cosmetic, dentures and dental oncology.
Dr. Barbash has always had a strong interest in academics and continuing education. In 1987, he cofounded the dental implant program at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center with Dr. Richard Finn. For nine years, he was the Director of Prosthodontics and Chairman of the Dental Implant Program at the Dallas Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. During that time he was involved in the training of residents in both Prosthodontics and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in the surgical, restorative, and laboratory phases of implant dentistry. He also participated as a clinician and lecturer with the Head and Neck Cancer programs at both the University of Texas Southwestern Medical center and the Dallas Veterans Administration Medical Center. Currently, Dr. Barbash maintains a full time private practice and serves as a clinical assistant professor at both the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and TAMU Baylor College of Dentistry. Additionally, he is a member of several of the major head and neck cancer treatment teams in the metroplex.
Dr. Barbash has maintained his board certification status with the American Board of Prosthodontics. He takes continuing education courses to remain on the leading edge of his field. He is an innovator who has been involved in clinical advances in implant dentistry. He regularly shares his knowledge with other dentists and physicians as a lecturer for continuing education programs.

When I walked into Dr Barbash's office, I was greeted with smiles and warmth by all members of the staff. I was introduced to Dr Imitola who took upon herself to make sure I have the best treatment. Dr Imitola was really on point and walked me through the whole process in a very conducive way and stress free way. I eventually got back my smile that I initially lost after my surgery. I'll forever be grateful to Dr Imitola and all the staff that attended to me. Check them out and walk out with all smiles!

Doctor Imitola is the best! My mom has been her patient for years, and has followed her to every office Dr. imitola has worked at. Loved Dr Barbash and his entire crew. Sadly most, if not all of them are gone now. I have been going there for over 18 years. Dr Barbash has been able for me to keep my teeth for 18 of those years, I think you for that! The new doctor appeared to be fine, but I am moving on. Dr Barbash I hope you enjoy your retirement sir.

From the first meeting with Dr. Imitola a sense of caring was evident. The plan developed with a one on one personal conversation about my issues, concerns and desired outcome. She listened intently, proceeded with an extensive examination and in time presented treatment solutions designed explicitly for me. The business side was open and detailed . I have been coming to Dr. Barbash for many years and now Dr. Imatola. They are both fantastic dentists who have helped me through many things post squamous cell carcinoma tongue cancer back in 2008. I am very thankful for this office and their staff. They are very courteous, friendly, and precise with their work!

Dr. Barbash and his staff are nothing short of amazing! They went above and beyond in every aspect when I was faced with multiple surgeries and jaw reconstruction, ultimately requiring dental implants. They were personable and caring and remained professional as I faced one of the most challenging life obstacles.
