An oral surgeon for over a decade, he has been serving residents in Tampa Bay for over seven years. As a full scope oral and maxillofacial surgeon, he has exceptional training and experience with dental implants, challenging extractions, single tooth restoration and full mouth rehabilitation. He has a dedicated committment to dentoalveolar procedures (problems with teeth, gum, jawbone and other bony or soft tissues of the mouth) and patients affected by pathology in the maxillofacial area, specially lip cancer.
Dr. Andrs E. Guerra-Andrade was born in Caracas, Venezuela and attended the School of Dentistry at the Universidad Central de Venezuela where he received his doctorate degree. He completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery degree and his Masters in Dental Sciences at the University of Puerto Rico, Medical Science Campus.
Dr. Guerra lives in Lutz with his wife of 11years, Denisse, and their seven-year-old daughter and five-year-old son. In his spare time he really enjoys cooking and grilling andbeing with his family and friends.

Because your health and safety are our top priorities, we provide narcotic-free procedures whenever possible. Every day, more than 90 Americans die after overdosing on opioids. What is more alarming is that half of people who inject heroin turned to that street drug after abusing prescription painkillers. We want to do our part to stop this opioid crisis!Rather than prescribing narcotic pain tablets after an oral surgery procedure, we employ a method of pain control that gives patients three to four days of pain relief without risking the use of an addictive drug. This local, long-lasting anesthetic gives patients a comfortable outcome and can be followed up with anti-inflammatory drugs such as ketorolac or Ibuprofen. Our doctor will discuss your options on a case-by-case basis.
Not only have we created methods for minimizing pain for our patients without dangerous opioids, we have adopted some of the latest advancements in implanting complete sets of teeth in people who have been turned away from other practices.

After a very extensive surgery, I had great results. I had 2 wisdom teeth and a large cyst removed. Dr. Guerra and his staff were very thorough and followed up often throughout the weeks following surgery. Dr. Guerra even responded to texts in the middle of the night. They even sent off the cyst for pathology. I highly recommend TERSA for anyone who needs any type of oral surgery.
