Dr. Hanley has been in private practice in Tempe for over 31 years. He attends more than 30 hours of continuing education each year, in order to remain current with all the dramatic changes taking place in dentistry.
Dr. Hanley was raised and went to grade school and high school in the Phoenix area. He attended both the University of Arizona and Arizona State University, receiving his undergraduate degree from Arizona State University. After graduating from A.S.U., Dr. Hanley received a commission in the U.S.A.F and went to pilot training, where he was a pilot in the Air Force for 6 years.
After leaving the Air Force, Dr. Hanley attended dental school at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, where he received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. After working at St. Louis State Hospital for one year, Dr. Hanley returned to Arizona to open his private practice in Tempe.
Dr. Hanley and his wife, Katherine, have been married for 44 years and have two adult children. Their son, Hunter, received his B.S. degree in economics from A.S.U. Hunter lives and works in the Phoenix area. Their daughter, Megan, attended George Washington University in Washington, D.C. Megan received her degree in international relations from George Washington and her masters from George Mason University. She works and lives in the Washington, D.C. area.

If you are new to town and looking for a great dentist, look no further! Dr. Hanley has treated me for years and I cannot say enough good things about him and Fran. They work so well together and provide a professional experience each time. He did a great job on my crown and takes good care of me during my regular cleanings. He discovered I needed a night guard and Fran fitted me for the guard and I use every night - it has made a huge difference for me. He is very thorough with his examination and work and takes his time. I am grateful and feel like I am in the best hands. Thanks Dr. Hanley & Fran!

I've been seeing Dr. Hanley for many (many) years and have recommended him to both family and friends. Dr. Hanley has performed many procedures and has a gentle touch. Patient comfort is a priority not only from him but other staff as well. Overall I think Dr. Hanley is an awesome dentist!

Dr. Hanley has been my dentist for 30 years. He cares about the comfort of his patients. He also explains what he is doing as he progresses during a session. His hygienist Fran always has a smiling face and a soft touch. Both work as a team to treat dental problems effectively.

My family and I have been going to Dr. Hanley (and Fran) for decades. The work and care they give our teeth is excellent and proactive. Because of it, our check ups are easy and non-scary. My wife has a condition that causes her jaw to ache after dental work is done and the amount of advance thought and planning that they do to help make exams and treatments comfortable is the best/most I have ever seen. What I love about Dr. Hanley and Fran is how they give the kind of small town care that I didn't think existed. Every visit we share stories about our families and they always remember what is going on in our lives. I cannot recommend anyone higher when I talk about dental care.

I've been going to see Fran & Dr. Hanley for YEARS!!! They feel like family and they know all about my family and always ask how each person is doing!! What I love most about going to see Dr. Hanley & Fran....there is never a wait!!! They know how long each procedure will take and schedule you in without having to wait!! They are the BEST!!!

Dr. Hanley has been my dentist for 14 years. He and his assistant, Fran, exemplify professionalism and sincerely care about their patients. When I visit their office, I am always greeted cheerfully and appreciate the time taken to explain dental procedures and address any questions or concerns I have. Dr. Hanley and Fran receive my highest recommendation, as they provide excellent quality dental care.
