Dr. Terry was born and raised in Hartselle, Alabama. After high school, he attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham, obtaining a bachelors degree in biology. He then stayed at UAB, where he received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine. Following school, Dr. Terry returned to the area and began practicing dentistry. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife, family, friends, and two dogs. Dr. Terrys hobbies include fishing, hunting, disc golf, and playing at the lake. Dr. Terry is a member of the Alabama Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry. He is committed to further developing his skills and knowledge through continuing education seminars and courses. Dr. Terry knew early in life that dentistry was the career he was meant to pursue, and he is excited to have the opportunity to serve the Decatur area.
Karen brings 14 years of experience as our Insurance/Scheduling Coordinator. She enjoys assisting all of our patients in utilizing and maximizing their insurance benefits. She and her husband, Rodney, make their home in Hartselle and enjoy spending time with their children and grandchildren.
Lisa began her career as a dental assistant in 1987 and then completed hygiene school in 1989. Lisas friendly and outgoing personality quickly puts her patients at ease. She enjoys both getting to know our patients and educating them on healthy home care habits.
Marlen is our dental assistant. Following high school, Marlen completed her education at Calhoun, where she found her passion for dentistry. She loves getting to know our patients and takes pride in her job of assisting Dr. Terry chairside. Outside of work, Marlen enjoys going to the gym and spending time with her family and friends.

Terry Dentistry is the best dentist in Decatur Alabama hands down! Dr Terry has been my dentist for the past 6 years now and he's not only a family dentist but a cosmetic one also and done 98% of all my dental work from repairing chipped teeth to crowns and fillings, the staff there are very friendly and I'm usually out in 30-45 minutes for my cleanings and that's only because I ask questions. I get a lot of compliments on my smile and that's because he has created it. I can't say enough about this dentist, he's the best in the world and makes it a pleasure to get GREAT results from this dentist!

This was hands down one of the best dental visits ever for me. The staff was friendly and prompt. I appreciate that Karen had my information handy when I walked in the door and the cleaning was through. Dr Terry really took his time talking to me with a wonderful bedside manor and made me feel like I was in control or had a say I'm my plan for treatment. Definitely will stay with this dental family!

This was my first time visiting Terry Family Dentistry and it was a great experience! The staff was friendly and did not treat me as if I was just simply a patient. I was assessed by Dr. Terry at the end of my cleaning and was provided with solutions to the assessment. It was an overall good atmosphere.

By far the best experience and the most effective Dentist in the Decatur, AL area. Excellent communication, outstanding customer service helping you get an appointment to meet your time and I was truly grateful as they took the time to explain the optikns and every step of the process with a great smile. Terry Family Dentistry is Awesome, It had been years since I've been to the Dentist and I happened to find Terry Family Dentistry and I'm so happy that I did, The staff is very friendly and welcoming and Dr. Terry took very well care of me and needless to say I'm no longer afraid to smile, 5 stars all the way and would highly recommend them.

I wanted to get implants and had driven to Nashville one morning to a well known provider. Upon arriving back to Decatur, my home, I stopped by to see what these guys had to offer. Surprisingly, Dr. Terry, did a full assessment and provided a clear path to correcting my mouth at a fraction of the cost given in Nashville. The service was more than exceptional -- I highly recommend Terry Family Dentistry for implants and / or other services. The guys there are the greatest. Thanks guys giving me teeth to eat and a wonderful smile.

The entire staff at Terry Family Dentistry were very professional and friendly. Dr. Terry thoroughly discussed my options with me so I could make the best decision for both my teeth and my checkbook. I was taken back to a room almost immediately and was seen, treated, and on my way before I would've ever seen the dentist where I used to go. I highly recommend this office. I have found my new dentist!

The entire staff at Terry Family Dentistry is extremely friendly and made me feel comfortable as soon as I walked in. Dr. Terry was very thorough and explained the procedure beforehand which put me at ease. My entire appointment went smoothly and everyone I encountered was so nice and professional. The office is updated and clean and the TVs in the dental exam rooms are a great distraction! I can't recommend this dentist enough!

If you are looking for a dentist, Dr.Terry is the best! Mrs. Karen is so sweet at the front desk and their hygienist's treat you like family. Dr.Terry is very thorough; great at explaining treatment. I have always felt comfortable and had a good experience!
