Terri L. Speed, D. D.S. is a native of San Jose, California. Dr. Speed received her Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of California, Santa Cruz. She received Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Howard University of Dentistry in 1990. Dr. Speed is a recipient of the Howard University Department of Community Dentistry Award and the Ida Simon Memorial Award. She trained in the chronically ill and aging program for three years in Washington, D.C. Dr. Speed founded the company called Harmony which serviced nursing care facilities in the Sacramento region in 1996 thru 1998. Dr. Speed began her private practice in Elk Grove in 1996. In 1999, Assemblyman Anthony Pescetti of the 10thAssembly District named her Woman of the Year based on service and dedication to the community. In 2003, the Sacramento Observer presented her with the Medallion of Honor Award for servicing the Sacramento Health and Medical Communities. In 2004 the National Coalition of Black Women, Inc. awarded her for her Health and Community service. Dr. Speed continued to serve the community through various health fairs, in conjunction with U.O.P. School of Dentistry, Sacramento Black Chamber of Commerce, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Sacramento Links Inc., and Sacramento District Dental Society (SDDS).
Dr. Speed served as a board member of the Sacramento Black Chamber of Commerce 1998-2001. Dr. Speed also served as a board member of the Area Women Chamber of Commerce. Dr. Speed is currently a board member of the Dr. Ernest and Arthella Hunter Foundation. Dr. Speed is also members of the Sacramento District Dental Society (SDDS), California Dental Association (CDA), American Dental Association (ADA), Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Sacramento California Links Inc.

Dr. Speed is a very experienced dentist. The staff are friendly. My family travels from afar for their annual appointments. Good work!

Dr Speed has ruined my whole families mouths. Even others I referred not knowing what was going to happen shortly after. Improper seated crowns going bad in 1-3years ( On all of us).Wear on other good teeth from improper bite allignment when doing work. Decay around crowns resulting in muliple teeth lost & then requiring implants & bridges from other dentists because teeth couldn't even be salvaged. Horrible communication with staff & severly rude communication from this dentist.

Love this office! Everytime I arrive here I only have to wait about 10 minutes and then its right 2 it! The staff is great and everyone is always up to date with the holiday seasons. I enjoy knowing the Dr. does an excellent job at making sure everything and everyone in that office is clean and sterilized. Dr Speed has been my dentist for over 10 years and I would recommend her to anyone in the Sacramento or NorCal area! #DrSpeed #LagunaMainStreet

Terri is an experienced dentist who not only makes you feel extremely comfortable, but also knows exactly what she is doing. The prices are affordable, her staff is well trained and polite, and the office is impeccable. You wont dread going to the dentist when you come to her practice. Nothing less than 5 stars!!!
