Growing up in the Tampa Bay area, Dr. Gibbs has been practicing dentistry locally since he graduated from the University of Florida College of Dentistry in 2008. After receiving his DMD, Dr. Gibbs continued his training in dental implants, earning a fellowship from the International Congress or Oral Implantology. In addition, Dr. Gibbs received advance training in Invisalign, Lumineers, and Laser Dentistry.
Helping others has been an essential part of Dr. Gibbs life. His caring nature is reflected in the volunteer work and community service he has provided in the past. Some of which included: Lawton Chiles Family Health Care Center in Bradenton, WE CARE Dental Clinic in Gainesville, Alachua County Organization for Rural Needs in Gainesville, St. Francis House Homeless Shelter in Gainesville, and humanitarian trip to Merida, Mexico. Dr. Gibbs has also provided dental services for the US National Guard.
Dr. Birch is a veteran of the United States Air Force where he enlisted for six years following high school, serving multiple tours overseas. He credits his military service to his core values of integrity, service, and excellence. After returning stateside, he began working as a dental lab technician which led to him to develop a passion for the dental profession. His skills as a munitions expert were easily translated to handling dental materials.
He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Saint Petersburg College and his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Florida College of Dentistry. He was awarded the Omicron Kappa Upsilon ethics award upon graduation for distinguishing himself amongst his peers through service and scholarship.
Dr. Birch works hard to deliver compassionate and comprehensive dentistry. He believes in giving back to the community through volunteer work. In his spare time, he enjoys outdoor activities like fishing, paddle boarding, and hiking as well spending time with his family and his dalmatian, Skeeter.
First, the gum tissue is opened and the jaw bone is tapped with a small drill and then drilled with a wider drill. The implant is inserted into place. The gum tissues are then closed and the healing phase begins. This may take anywhere from 3-6 months to ensure a strong base.

I have been with them for over seven years now and will keep going there. I never had an issue and they always deliver great service. I tried to find a different dentist office close by after I moved but I was not satisfied with any one. So I decided to stay with them and I don't mind the 45 minutes drive at all. I totally recommend them. And by the way, I absolutely love your new building.

Dr. Gibbs is the fastest dentist I've ever been a patient for. I'm talking 15 minutes from when I got the numbing to walking out the door. The Chic Fil A drive thru now has competition for fastest service. Also went in for a deep clean and the hygienists were so nice, played good music, and left my teeth squeaky clean. I definitely recommend the Dale Earnhardt of dentists.

This was my first time visiting this office and I had an amazing experience. My first impressions were that the staff was great and office was very clean with the latest equipment. My appointment was with Dr. Gibbs but I met with the staff before to go over everything. They were very thorough and explained what would be done. They were also very friendly, polite and made my visit very comfortable. When I met with Dr Gibbs and discussed the pain I had been feeling over the last month, he began a very detailed examination. He gave me a couple x-rays and diagnosed my pain as a tooth fracture. I was shown pictures of the fracture and we began to go over my options. I do not have a regular dentist in Tampa but I will be going back there for any future work that I need done. I highly recommend Dr. Gibbs and his office to anyone who is needing assistance with any dental issues or concerns. Andrew

I am very disappointed today. We come here with family (four of us) and today I had second appointment for which I got late by 15 mins. I called up to say the same however had to take other appointment. I was fine with it however not happy with the fine slapped on me for $35. I like Dr Gibbs and other staff service but would consider coming here if this fee is waived as a gesture for continued business. If not I am going to get near to my home. Thanks Thanks Dr Gibbs for your call and taken necessary action quickly. Revised the review rating

The ladies in this place are great always willing to help but that guy Dr. Gibbs he will rip you off smh Prices always change he tells you one thing and then when you come back it's a different story spent over two grand with this guy. Got my tooth pulled and the one next to it he Said he will be able to fill it. Go in there two weeks later wants to charge me $800 to cap it. Never against will I be going to this place. I don't Recommended at all. He doesn't care about the people he is about the money I will get it fixed somewhere else. You are justified his actions he wants money and always in a rush

I previously gave this practice 5 stars my first visit and wrote the below. However, when I went back after my Root canal to get the temporary cap Patrick Gibbs AGAIN did NOT take me seriously. The drill and the smell of the drill triggered a flashback for the second time at this office of me being in the middle of gunfire. It was as if he didn't even care as I tried to say as I'm crying, and all he is asking me to do is breath through my nose. It's allergy season AND I'm crying. How do I breath through my nose? ZERO compassion sir. I worked as community mental health worker for 6 years Doing home visit and saw many things many people should never see. It is absurd you did not have me serious at all. The staff of Woman At the practice DESERVE HIGHER PAY as they are the only saving grace to that practice. Thank you ladies for all you did for me!! You are amazing. You deserve a 5 star rating. This here is only for the woman who work there Amazing staff, got me in same day to have a cap put on my cracked tooth. Helped me through my PTSD reaction to the drill and even had the help of Another dentist step in to help with grounding me. The work was great. Everyone from the front desk to when I was in the chair was awesome and treated me kindly even when I was crying hysterically in so much pain. This will now be my dental office due to how awesome everyone was to me and how helpful they were.

Terrace Oaks Dental has a phenomenal team! Dr. Gibbs ensures that my dental needs are addressed in a timely manner. Hygienist Ellie, who never fails to put a smile on my face, is always very friendly and makes me feel comfortable at every visit. The office staff are always pleasant and punctual. Jessica has been my dental hygienist for going on 3 or 4 years now and she has been great. Dr. Gibbs has only really done exams for me as I have no issues but overall he is very laid back and helpful.

After moving to Tampa in August for school I needed to see a dentist after an emergency. Terrace Oaks had me in as soon as possible and got my issue resolved quickly and at a price that I thought was well worth it. Everyone from the Dentists to the Assistants and Hygienists have been so kind and make you feel right at home. I have already been back for a cleaning and will continue to use them as my dentists!

I have been coming to Dr. Gibbs for a few years now. He is honest. I needed 2 crowns. He worked with me to space them out for my insurance. Ellie, my hygienist is amazing! I have sensitive gums and she's gentle and so kind, a true gem!

I needed to find a new dentist after having a cracked tooth and I am so happy I was recommended this office. Everyone is so welcoming the moment you walk in. Jessica does an amazing job every time I see her and she really knows how to calm down the anxiety of the dreaded cleaning visits. Dr. Gibbs did an great job for a root canal I needed along with helping me successfully get through my invisalign treatment.
