Dr. Joseph Hidalgo graduated from Louisiana State University School of Dentistry in 1984. After practicing in Louisiana for 17 years, he and his family moved to the Plano area in 2001 and he has been in private practice here since 2003.
Dr. Hidalgo has completed extensive training in the field of cosmetic dentistry with the prestigious Rosenthal Institute in New York City. He has also received training in advanced implant tooth replacement techniques along with the Comfort Plus Denture. In 2008 he became a level 4 graduate of the OBIFoundation for Bioesthetic Dentistry which focuses on complete dental restorative treatment for patients who have temporomandibular joint issues. He is one of fewer than 500 dentists across the country who has successfully completed this course of treatment.

Dr. Jay and his wife, Pam, live in Plano with their two daughters, Lauren and Caroline. In his free time, he enjoys nothing more than camping, fishing, rock climbing, and doing anything outdoors with his daughters. And of course, he is an LSU Tiger through and through. From the receptionist to the dental hygienist (Tiffany) to Dr. Jay, I received THE most comprehensive and best dental care I have ever had in my life. Dr. Jay was so thorough and informative that I even learned possible solutions to issues that I thought were health problems. Definitely recommend!

Love Dr. Jay and his entire staff. I found Tennyson Lake Dental from fabulous reviews so I would like to return the favor by sharing my personal experience. After several implants over a 10 year period, I noticed that my teeth were now slanted. The midline was also way off center. I consulted with several orthodontists and was told that braces didn't work on implants. I finally came across Dr. Jay and he came up with a plan to reconstruct my smile. It took a COVID lockdown to finally get the time to work on reconstruction. 1 year later, it is finally done and it was worth every penny ... and it was a lot of pretty pennies! My teeth feel wonderful and look fabulous!!! This was a really tough and complicated case which several dentists had worked on over the course of 10 years ... and it showed. It took Dr. Jay to create a unified and aesthetically pleasing look. The best aspect of the experience was that Dr. Jay listened to my concerns and priorities. My objective was important to him. He also educated me about the pros and cons of what I was asking for and managed my expectations - which at times, were admittedly unreasonable and unrealistic. That being said, the final results have exceeded my wildest expectations! Many thanks to Dr. Jay and his staff! He is an artist and a master of cosmetic dentistry!

2019 review: Dr Hidalgo and his staff are extremely pleasant and professional. As a new patient I was impressed with the VIP treatment from everyone in the office including Dr Hidalgo. During my many decades of visiting dentists and just as long working in healthcare as a nurse, I have never had such a comprehensive dental exam. Dr Hildago was very thorough and took the time to explain every step and to answer all my questions. He seemed genuinely concerned with my dental health. I highly recommend Dr Hidalgo to anyone needing dental care or seeking a higher level to their dentist office experience. 2022 review: After COVID lock down Im back to see Dr Jay, and he and his office are just as awesome as I remember. First time ever having a filling that was totally painless; and I've had LOTS of fillings. Never felt the needle or the med. He's the absolute best!

I've been to my share of dentists and when I started seeing Dr. Jay, 6 years ago, I had an unhealthy fear of them. I literally told him I needed a dentist that specialized in children and chickens. I just got my Fifth crown this morning and never felt a thing. Dr Jay always has the newest equipment and always knows the newest procedures. The entire staff is dedicated to the comfort of their patients! No essembly line at tennison!!! Thanks Dr Jay and staff, you guys ARE the BEST!

My husband open door on my face and broke my teeth and cut my lips . I was very worried about my pain my tooth and how my teeth will fix . I google nearby place I found it and immediately I got appointment and doctor start working on me that was very much soothing for me . Doctor fix everything in 3 hours including X-ray fix broken tooth , fix misplaced tooth. I WOULD RECOMMEND THAT PLACE
