Dental insurance is one of many ways to pay for dental treatment, but it is not the only way. Many of our patients pay for their treatment with card, cash or check. In addition, ourIn-Office Benefits Planis a very popular alternative to traditional dental insurance.
Our doctors are in-network PPO providers for most major dental insurance plans. If we are not in-network with your dental insurance, we will file on your behalf as a courtesy. Unfortunately, we are not HMO or TennCare providers at the moment.
Tennessee Family Dentals dental team consists of 20+ hygienists, assistants, front office administrators, dental & medical insurance experts & dentists with decades of experience. Our multiple locations allows us to see any patient with a dental emergency 6 days a week regardless of our availability. No one loves going to the dentist but our team makes it as comfortable and efficient for the patient as possible.
Upon receiving his Doctor of Medical Dentistry from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2012, Dr. ONeill moved to Nashville to begin his dental career and founded Tennessee Family Dental. He is happily married to his wife, Shaylee, a local singer-songwriter in Nashville. In his spare time, Dr. ONeill enjoys traveling and learning about different cultures throughout the world. Hes traveled to over 40 different countries and is actively involved in global mission work. Currently, Dr. ONeill sees patients at theGreen Hills location.
Ashley J. Humphrey, D.D.S. is from Dallas, TX but has made The Music City her home. Before joining the Tennessee Family Dental Group, Dr. Humphrey served as a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Oral Diagnostic Sciences at Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry.
Dr. Humphrey attended Oakwood University in Huntsville, AL earning a B.S. degree in Biochemistry. After completing her B.S. degree she attended Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry obtaining a D.D.S. degree. She then completed a General Practice Residency at The Ohio State University in Columbus, OH. After completing residency, she moved to Los Angeles, CA, and practiced for several years before deciding to return to Nashville.
Dr. Humphrey is an active member of the community participating in various volunteer events locally and internationally. She is a member of the Capitol City Dental Society, MMC Metropolitan Nashville Chapter Alumni Association, and Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society. Dr. Humphrey is a newlywed to DaMarrus Miller, and they have a dog named Drizzy. In her free time she enjoys traveling, Pilates, reading, and shopping.

I set an appointment 3 months in advance and when I showed up to my appointment they said I didn't have one and they didn't have any of the new patient information I provided while making the appointment.

Was informed I had a cavity which they had already done a re-fill on to remove in the same area that there is new decay they did in 2019. Now I'm being told I need a root canal because of new decay close to the nerve which will cost me $1100.00 which I do not have. How is it that I still have decay in the same place that the decay was "removed" in 2019. Guess where I'm not going to fill or have care again. Lost a patient forever.

Had a great first visit. Both the hygienist, Jennifer, and the doctor, Dr. Kelly, we're very polite and helpful. The ambience of the office was very modern/rustic vibe and smelled amazing! Nothing like a dentist office I've ever been to. Looking forward to my next visit.

I had to have a tooth pulled and I was so scared from past experiences with other dentists But Dr Blair and his assistants made me feel comfortable, their office has a laidback atmosphere and is very comfortable The biggest plus is I didn't feel any pain from the shots or him pulling my tooth I have now found my new dentist Thank you so much Dr Blair and all of your assistants Patricia Gant

They are great and they helped me. I was hurting so bad I called everywhere but they were booked. I called Tennessee family dental and told her my situation and she said Monday. I told her I couldn't wait until Monday she said hold on and talk to someone got back on the phone and told me to come in now. I really appreciate them for helping me because no one else would reason being I have no insurance but I do have money so I just want to say thank you so much to Tennessee family dental because you help me thank you I just can't say that enough.

I had serious anxiety about having the deep cleaning done enough that I canceled 2x. I finally went and Mrs/Ms.Watson was amazing. Really no discomfort and she was just as wonderful in her work as she was her personality which put me at ease. I truly feel she understood my fears & most of all didn't rush anything. She explained everything and was very thorough. I've never had a bad experience on any of their services and they are very upfront about their costs.I did choose their in-house plan. I've also decided to stop googling my own problems and trust their process. I am very glad I choose them to help restore my smile after some neglect due to dental anxiety. There is a reason they have 5 stars.
