Dr. K is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and the School of Dental Medicine. In keeping with his family's history of serving our country, Dr. Komoroski served in the United States Air Force, completing a one year general dental residency, followed by two years active duty as a general dental officer. Following his service, Dr. Komoroski completed his orthodontic specialty training at the renowned Eastman Dental Center, now part of the University of Rochester in upstate New York.

Currently, Dr Komoroski is a Clinical Instructor of Dental Medicine in the General Practice Residency Program and provides orthodontic lectures to the Oral Maxillofacial Residents at West Penn Allegheny General Hospital. He enjoys the learning process with the residents while reinforcing the commitment that learning is a lifelong process.

A native of the Pittsburgh-North Hills area, Dr. Komoroski returned to the area after his training and began his private practice locally in 1992. He is happily married and is raising a daughter in the North Hills. In his free time, Dr. Komoroski likes to kayak with his family and work on the never ending 'to do'list at home.

Hygienist are horrible with children for being a "pediatric" dental office. Don't work with children if you're not patient or good with them

Hands down the best dentist office I travel from uniontown too it and when I say they give phenomenal care I mean just that my son has been going since he was 3 he is now 6 I wouldn't even consider going elsewhere I love Dr. B and her staff

I love the dentist she always does a nice work that I can see .BUT please please get new staff make there customers not feel like there walkihg up to santa in the Xmas story hahahahbut there four the poorly appropriate secretarys second time dealing with secretary we give we inflicted pain for a living u deal with kids and there never happy go get a job in involving kids tho walmart is wright up road and starting to reach ur pay grade level too lol...and treat people 1000 time better so Iima try not go back cus they lie about answering phones for 2 weeks and agreeing ashamed cus the place is super cute just needs better staff and

I'm going with 2 stars and here is why. I've taken my boys to this dentist since my oldest was little so probably around 2007 or 2008-ish. This was when they were still in the small building in Bullskin/Connellsville. As they grew to the larger building in Mt.Pleasant we still followed. Well my boys are now 12 & 17 yrs old. We moved away for awhile so they had a different dentist in Altoona, when we moved back we went back. The patient care was also great but as they grew and got larger it seemed to be a lot more rushed. My oldest is now a senior in h.s. and my youngest is in 7th grade so the nurse sent home a paper saying they needed an exam or could be examed by the school. I figured it would be a good idea to get them an appointment. So today I called, no answer so I left a message. The lady who called me back today (Wednesday Oct 5th 2022 at 2:47pm was VERY VERY RUDE!! She told me that my family has been discharged from the office because of NO CALL NO SHOWS??!! I was confused. I was asking her like what so you mean we can't make an appointment? She said no. I said when did we have no call no shows. As she huffed she said ummmm like 2018 or 2017 so yeah, ok? She was rushing me off the phone. I was like are you sure that was years ago this is 2022. She said yeah you can't ever come back. I said okay well I don't think your records are correct but ok. That was it. That was the professional phone call from the place. I'm going to call my insurance company tomorrow and get dates and times when we were last at this office and I will NEVER EVER recommend this place to anyone. The most unprofessional place EVER!! I will be sure to do my own digging on this because this is a service FOR A CHILD!!! The place is all about numbers and money and the disrespect is embarrassing!! So sad. On the bright side we found a new dentist today and after speaking to a NICE RECEPTIONIST I was told that this is NOT the first or 20th complaint they have heard about Tender Care recently. So if you do go to this place...good luck. This is not the same practice it was years ago. Greed got the best of this dentist and the staff is horrible.

I went here as a kid and now my kids go here! They are amazing and I enjoy going here. The only downfall is they get super busy so you have to book in advance but they try their best to get you in!

They are horrible! I tried to get my son in as soon as possible for an emergency and they said they couldn't get my son in until December! He has been a there since he was 2! Told me to Call Children. Meanwhile he needs it done as soon as possible. I'm not even going into the details of his front filling out multiple times! Found him a dentist that got him in the next day they seemed more concerned more than tender care ever did. Definitely taking my kids somewhere else

My boyfriend had been going here for fillings and cleanings. He came home with fillings that were falling out left and right. They drilled one of his teeth so far down that it cracked his tooth and half of his tooth fell off. Now that he his seeing another dentist they told him that they filled a tooth that never needed a filling and instead needed a root canal and he is in so much pain because they put filling which was pushing on the nerve. The other dentist said that every filling they put in his mouth is now decaying underneath EVERY single filling. Please do not go here. They are unprofessional and it seems like they have no idea what they're doing. My boyfriend now has to have all of these teeth fixed by another dentist.

Made an appointment and due to traffic we were late 11 min and they would not see my daughter. They do have a 10 min late policy but it was 11 min and they would not see her so frustrating!! I understand they have other appointments BUT it was 1 min. Unreal will not be returning!!

Trying to obtain information from this office is a joke. The staff is rude, sarcastic and visibly annoyed both when in the office and over the phone. Which they answer and ignore when they want or answer and don't say anything, but place you immediately on hold. I wouldn't recommend taking any child to this office, they're extremely unprofessional and treat you and your child like another number, instead of a patient to care for.

This place is horrible!!! I can NEVER get through to anyone. My son had a dental emergency and they wouldn't take him until days later, and that the dentist wasn't even there that day anyways. No emergency appointments.. no emergency dentist.. awful. The receptionist is also very rude. This office sucks!

This office needs shut down and the dentist not allowed to practice anymore. My poor daughter had such a terrible experience here and was in pain for months because they did not know what they were doing! She ended up with infections, pain and being unable to eat with her front teeth because they hurt so bad due to the awful work they did. We were charged so much money and they kept coming back with new things that they kept charging us for. Plus they were rude when I questioned what the charges were. We went to a different dentist who had to correct everything they did and was fantastic with wonderful results. Tender Care Pediatric Dentistry is terrible and should be ashamed of the work they do!

Took over a year to receive a bill for the amount insurance would not cover. Staff is not winning any congeniality awards. Welcoming would be on the bottom of my description list for this establishment. Patients are your customers, they should be treated as such. My money will be spent elsewhere from this point forward...

This place is fantastic. My 3 year old was very scared to go to the dentist but as soon as she saw all the animals brushing their teeth on the roof of the building she was beyond excited to go in. All the staff were incredibly "kid friendly" and she was very upset when it was time to leave. We drove 45 minutes to come to this place and I'm glad that we did because it absolutely made her first experience with the dentist enjoyable.

I can't speak for how they treat you when you go in to the office. I only talked to them on the phone, I called to make an appointment and the receptionist was very rude. She said I needed a referral and xrays, which told her I have from my normal dentist. Once she found out we didn't have dental insurance, I told her I'll be paying out of pocket and she said it's very very expensive just starting at $600+. I assured her I'm not poor and I have a job and could turn it into our health flex spend account. She insisted that i go elsewhere. Then hung up on me! Wow! Just don't understand why the receptionist would be so rude and not want my business.

Let's just blow past the fact the staff needs a serious attitude adjustment (especially the one that does the intake forms) she seems to be in a hurry to go nowhere. I'd love to know how taking an x ray resulted in my son having red scratch marks on each side of his face and now a bruise? Don't bother replying I'm posting for other parents to see. Never coming back. You need to be shut down if you can't be gentle with a 4 year old child.

The staff have some of the most inflated ego and attitude and the service was subpar and many other establishments could be visited instead. (The animals on the building are terrifying with the uncanny valley human like teeth)

I tried to just call and see about information. The girl was RUSHED had an attitude the entire time . Then asked why are they telling me IV sedation for just two cavities ? And then I said never mind I can just check into it and call back since you say it like that and she said OK BYE . I tried calling back and she just hung up . So unprofessional on so many levels .

I have never been frustrated before until it has reached my limit. I have been trying to contact tender care for months. All I needed is to ask them to fill in my son's Dental form for his head start school. I reached them out since October when my son's teacher emailed me his form. I called many times and they are always busy. They don't have a voice mail system where I can leave a message. It just peeps after each phone calls. Press 1,2,3, or 4 doesn't get me anywhere. So I let it go and called again the next day and still always busy and no pick up. I thought it wasn't that important so I waited to see if I will be able to reach them a month later because my son's teacher have reached out to me again for his dental form. I contact them again and still no pick up. I was able to talk to someone when I called very early the next day again. They said I can email it to them and they can sent it back. But guess what they gave me the wrong email. I careful asked them and make sure if what they gave me was the right email and that said yes. After hanging up I email them the form. Well guess my the email was blocked. I keep sending and he same thing happen. Than I gave up and decide to try again the next day and still they don't pick up no matter many times I called. And again my son's teacher reminded me again yesterday in my email. I try to reach them again and I was able to talk to some lady on the phone and she gave me the right email address I guess because my email went through. I called back right after just a few minutes after I sent my email to make sure they got it they didn't pick up at all. I try to call about an hour later and still said phone is busy. So I keep calling and calling and it went through but guess what again they hang up on me. Not just once but twice. All I wanted to know was if my email went through after trying to contacting them for months. I can understand if they are busy and they could have at least pick up and tell me when would be a good time to call back. If their answering service works this wouldn't even happen. I wouldn't even have to keep calling. I could just leave a message but they don't have that option. How am I supposed to know if I can leave a message or not when every calls end with a peep and doesn't say I can leave a message or not?

Staff is great and caters to the children. Have had bad experience with scheduling my child, he has been scheduled multiple times for visits and I watch the person schedule and confirm with me, and day of the appointment they say he was not scheduled to be seen, this has happened on multiple occasions and very unprofessional and inconvenient, and they always have an issue with trying to reschedule me. This is a peds denstist office but apparently they only take younger kids in the morning I figured it wouldn't matter what time of day since they are a peds dentist office.
