My hygienist Tiffany was so gentle and helped eased my anxiety. Dr Hashmi is a great doctor and I look forward to having my work done by her :)

I had a dental emergency. I was in a lot of pain . It was 7 in the morning and I was thinking should I go to urgent care, but they aren't dentists really. I didn't know what to do, but then I found Tend, which turned out to be practically across the street. They deal with emergencies. They were open and were able to see me quickly. They dealt with the issue and referred me to a periodontist. Everyone was nice. They made sure I knew what everything costed before they did it. It was as painless as a painful experience can be

Never have I left a negative review, but if I could give zero stars I would. I booked an exam and a cleaning. Upon seeing that I had a double fixed retainer, the hygienist told me that I would need to come back for a deep cleaning. If you're not equipped and don't have the expertise to do a beyond standard cleaning in one appointment, shouldn't this be made clear PRIOR to booking?! I'm an extremely busy person and don't have time to waste. The dentist was EXTREMELY combative with poor bedside manners. If you lack the credentials or time to clean people's teeth, quit your job. She was throwing around terms like "periodontitis" and "endocarditis" and had the unmitigated gall to suggest I hadn't been to the dentist pre-Covid. I recently had my SECOND set of braces and get my teeth cleaned every six months. 1) Black people have different color gums than non-Black people, 2) I have gum sensitivity DUE to my fixed retainers...not a predisposition to disease, and 3) my father and my husband are both doctors who specialize in cardiology and CT surgery, so I am well aware of how dental hygiene affects overall health. NEVER again...please go see a real dentist.

I've used Tend for years, but recently they've gotten super scammy. I've had them lie about the costs of procedures (telling me that cleaning was $70, when it was fully covered) and tell me other treatments were fully covered only to receive a large bill later on. Yes, their offices are beautiful and you can easily book online, but they also will lie to you about costs, max out your credit card, and refuse to explain why. Avoid at all costs.

This place felt like a money grab. From the moment I entered, I was being upsold products. While the modern interior and the Netflix may be "fun" perks to bring in millennials, the clear amount of marketing for their product suite made me feel like I couldn't trust the dentist's opinion because it's clearly a cash grab. Also, the dentist was a bit snippy with me and did not have great bedside manner.

All the one star reviews are true and consistent. They upsell you on procedures that you probably don't need such as: - deep cleaning - cavities If you hear these words, make sure to get a second opinion. My first appointment was okay, it was a typical exam with x-rays and regular cleaning. But the doctor said I had 2 cavities which I was very surprised by. I hadn't had any cavities since I was maybe 8 years old. But I totally fell for it and ended up going in to get fillings. They also suggested a deep cleaning which I fell for as well. Both had out of pocket costs. Fast forward to 6 months later, I went in for my regular second cleaning for the year and they told me that all the procedures I had received had been eating away at my annual coverage allowance and that I had to pay out of pocket ($350) for the regular cleaning. This was partly my fault for not checking my insurance claims. I walked away and came home to read reviews here with 1 star ratings that had very similar stories to mine. The marketing team did a great job with their branding and aesthetics. However the doctors and staff seem to run a shady business.

The staff at Tend are professional and understand how to treat their patients. I was treated extremely well during my visit with Dr. Hashimi and Dental Assistant Davonia. They answered all of my questions and exhibited great patience with me. I booked additional appointments with Tend.

Tend has VERY sketchy billing practices. Their model is created to over charge and while providing a clearly lower standard of care. It's easy to get distracted by the tech enabled component of it (ease of booking, etc). However overall it is low value care. Would recommend any other dental practice except this one. Discussed my care with a couple of friends who are dentists who agreed that their practices were shady. Not sure how they raised a series C is unclear to me. Side note -- the hygienists are very friendly.

I go in for one thing, they charge me nearly double for something else. Then a few days later I get told via the app I'll have to go in for future visits, each costing around $2k. Lol These people are ridiculous. Mind you I went back to my regular dentist and none of these so-called treatments were needed.
