The staff and dentists are friendly and take the time to answer questions. Unfortunately, that is very much overshadowed by extremely shady business practices. 3 months after my original visit and after I thought I had paid in full, they send me another bill for $400 that more than doubles the cost. They don't even give you a paper or electronic copy of the original quote - they only put it up on a tv screen. I only have it documented because I took a picture with my phone. Apparently the original quote they give you is just an 'estimate'. An estimate that can be off by a factor of 2x. They're able to explain that clearly and succinctly after you already receive services, but they cover that up in fine print until you're already on the hook. 100% intentional and part of the business plan. Even if you don't have these egregious insurance issues, Tend recommends the most expensive treatment options that, according to my friend that is in a post-dental school fellowship, provide marginal benefit and largely aren't worth it.

Front staff were friendly and greeted me and checked me in right away. Next you get a little goodie bag with toothpaste, a toothbrush, and a cup to rinse. You can freshen up in their "brush bar" or sit and wait to be called. I have sensitive teeth and the hygienist was so gentle with my teeth and was very friendly. The dentist came in for a quick check in and look inside, but gave her nod of approval. Then you discuss any next steps and someone comes to you for check out and goes over costs, if you had any. I found my new dentist!! Yay! Plus it's within walking distance of my apartment which is a double win.

Brand new to this group, was a little standoffish to the way it looked online...looked more like trying to hard to be different.. I will say so far so good. Professional, clean, quick appointment (I was in pain), and most importantly, new dentist gave good referral and advice. I will say two thumbs up, always god to start on a good foot.

From being greeted by Veronica, taken to my area and introduced to what was planned by Jasmine, and sharing travel stories with Katrina, my visit at Tend was absolutely wonderful. Each team member had a warm and welcoming personality and made me feel at ease. I've finally found my dental home.

Wow, Tend really ups the dentist visit. I had a great experience there. I hadn't been to the dentist in over a year and was so worried, but they kept me calm and took excellent care of me. My dental hygienist, Katrina, was thorough and fun to talk with during the process. Dentist Ali was also awesome. Without a doubt, I will be back in 6 months for my next cleaning.

Naming, the receptionist was just absolutely PERFECT! I felt very welcomed by her. She truly made my day! She needs to be applauded and recognized!

Everyone was really kind and I was the least fancy and stylish thing in the place. They even gave me a can of water, cute little bag, a fancy toothbrush, and some toothpaste for free. It's like a spa where they poke at your teeth.

Tend was dope. Everyone was very nice, extremely professional, and made me feel very comfortable the whole time. Shout out to Katrina in Navy Yard, she was super nice and really made sure to take good care of my sensitive teeth.

Terrible and inconsiderate customer service, not accommodating at all. Tested positive for COVID, was very ill and unable to call to cancel my appointment. When I felt better, I did follow up with my reasoning for not coming in, and they still ended up charging me a $100 no show fee. Also last appointment, I went in for a filling they ended up giving me so many injections prior and during the filling, it was very uncomfortable. I've had fillings before by my dentist back home and have never had problems with them, and nor did I ever need that many injections for numbing. Office is a cute vibe but that is really it.

This was the best dental experience I've ever had and I'm not just saying this! The whole team was so informative and comforting! My dentist and her assistant today May 25th was amazing! This lady that assisted my dentist was so good and moreover she held my hand like she was my little sister. Both took very good care of me! See you all soon!
