As a new patient last year with zero history of cavities (but a lapse of a couple years of cleanings because of COVID), Tend convinced me that I needed to have multiple cavities filled. I was so concerned for the health of my teeth I did it immediately. I had always been careful with brushing, but after that I started flossing every single day to avoid future problems. The next time I went in they recommended filling twice as many as previously. They insisted they were ALL urgent and needed to be filled immediately (which would go significantly over my insurance coverage for the year). I was so confused as to how my teeth could have gotten so bad so quickly, so I went to another dentist for a second opinion. The new dentist not only said that the new fillings were completely unnecessary, he said they had done a poor job on the original fillings from a year prior. They were also such shallow fillings that he doubted those were necessary either. The fillings were done in a way that caused damage to the adjacent teeth, and weren't smoothed to allow for easy flossing. I called Tend to speak directly to the dentist, but Tend will not connect me with either dentist I saw. They continue to email me to set up the "recommended" appointments even after I told them I will never be back and want to be removed from their system. Tend caused me so much anxiety, cost me so much money, and has created new dental problems for me. DO NOT GO HERE.

Always a friendly, professional experience. I appreciate that every step is explained as it used to give me anxiety not knowing what the dentist was going to do next.

you know what? they took all my insurance coverage in Feb this year doing shitswhich I really did not need deep cleansing and making more frequent visit ( on my first day for clean up, they just did images and dr's exam then send me back home ) so now I even can not do clean up. no more coverage left. the anesthesiologist does not know how to do it AT ALL. I was crying more than 5mins and screaming. It could not be worse anywhere. I am very patient and have pretty high tolerance of pain. NEVER GO THIS PLACE. rip off and worst treatment ever.

Skip the fancy branding. Unfortunately I went for a few visits and walked away feeling nothing but shame. A friend of mine said something similar, so it seems to be a central pillar of their practice. Additionally, the insurances they accept seem to change more frequently than you can keep track of. After deciding to no longer go to Tend, I was charged a $100 no-show fee that they will not remove even despite my unhappiness as a patient. It's clear they only exist to get money out of you.

I have been a patient with Dr. Bharati for over a year at the Grand Central Office. The work that needed to be done was arduous and at times frustrating but as if this writing the work has been completed and I have a healthy smile I can be proud of.

This was the dentist experience I was hoping for and more. I was worried since moving from Chicago I wouldn't find a dentist office like the one I loved but Tend was perfect. The office itself is so nice and clean and modern. Everyone is so sweet and informative. I felt well taken care of. All the tech looked new and up to date which made me feel confident they didn't miss anything. I'll definitely be coming here from now on. Thank you!

I called Tend for an appointment and the lady over the phone offered me a 7am appointment. I no longer live in the City so I said I would give them a call back if I find a place to stay around. The person over the phone was really insisting to get this appointment booked. Because of that I really insisted -really!- she doesn't book it. 2 minutes after I hang up, I see a text confirmation that I was all booked in. I call back Tend and a colleague of her said I wasn't booked in. But she lied. I know she did because the link on the text mentioned I was, so she cancelled in and pretended it never happened. When I hanged up the phone, the link on the text was saying that the appointment was now cancelled. So she covered up her friend. To add to the insult, I then received an email saying I am booked for this appointment. I called again explaining how unhappy I was. Tend is very aggressive when it comes to book you in to a point they would trap you into an appointment. If yo are entirely charged. It's shocking because it is stealing. I know the place looks pretty but you don't want to get trapped in an appointment you didn't even booked. NYC is full of very competent dentists. Don't take the risk.

I needed to cancel an appointment day of because I had a COVID exposure. This was for the safety of everyone at Tend. Tens fold me on the phone that they cancelled my appointment. However, two weeks later I get a $100 charge that says I missed an appointment. I come to learn tend rescheduled me without my knowledge and never notified me. I contact support and they argued with me that I never called even though you literally can't cancel an appointment online day of it forces you to call. I provided a date range and screenshot, and asked them to even reconsider as a curtesy as I have never had this issue before and would like to remain a client. Instead Tend support dismissed me and choose $100 over keeping and additional client that they can continue to make money on. Do not use Tend they are scam and have terrible support.

Please don't use Tend. Go elsewhere. They overcharge and can't get the most simple things right like not make duplicate accounts every time you show up. And they have an IT department run by monkeys who can't fix it.

Very disappointed with the whitening I had done here. I've sent several emails and made phone calls and this office has simply not responded with a resolution (and they did not even respond to Kendall the customer service rep who was handling my case). What concerns me is I am a patient - and I've been blocked from talking directly to the clinician(s) after a service I had. What if something more serious happened? Would I be blocked from speaking to them? Awful service and a very upsetting experience. Update: The Owner below offered for ME to call - and gave the general customer service line - but still has not responded to the issue that has been pending since 8/10. I was told by Rih Haley today, that someone from the Grand Central office would contact me. I still have not received a call. Please respond with the resolution.

The staff at this location was lovely but the problem and greatest source of disconnect is Tend's answering service. My home clinic is the Flatiron location but I needed an emergency visit to fix a broken bracket in my breezy braces. When I called the provided number, instead of being directly connected to the Flatiron location, I was routed to a remote answering service in charge of questions, problems and scheduling. I was booked at the Grand Central location, unaware that they could not fix the broken bracket because my treatment plan was with a different Tend location and orthodontist. The visit was a waste of time! Fix your system please- let patients have a direct line to their home clinic location! I come from out of town for my appointments and it's frustrating not to get the necessary emergency services for my treatment plan.

I love the extra detail they go into when giving X-rays and the gum examinations. They really are very thorough in explaining your conditions, treatment plans and how to improve on brushing. Also love how when I asked about an implant for a tooth I'm missing, they gave me more options that I never heard of from other dentists. Even without insurance it's definitely worth the money
