So I've used tend and was fairly happy with the service, however, today I called them when I noticed a $100 charge on my credit card. And I want it to be publicly known that Tend scheduled an appointment for me without my knowledge, and then when I didn't show up for that appointment (that I didn't agree to and wasn't aware of), they charged me a $100 no show fee I've never even heard of something so ridiculous. Even worse, you'd expect something like this to be cleared up quickly right? Well no. The associate I spoke with told me that there's nothing they could do about it and that if I wanted, management would find time to call me back. This is awful business practice and so beware if you plan on dealing with tend in any capacity. Yes, they are an early company that is just getting started, but nonsense like this cannot be tolerated.

from the moment I walked in to the moment I walked out, I felt cared for. They were so attentive and walked me through my whole process. I came in for x-rays to start in-braces and for once I didn't hate the dentist and they made me excited to start my journey!

I love Tend, I got the Breezy Braces from them and I love it. Dr. Reem is the best Orthodontist! She's super professional and very attentive to detail. I've been to 3 Tend locations in nyc and I've always felt welcomed in all of them. They have an amazing staff and great vibes. I recommend them to anyone interested in any orthodontic practice you won't regret it.

I had a great first visit at Tend Flatiron, but scheduling a follow up has taken nearly three months, despite the fact that they told me I'd need multiple root canals if I didn't move quickly. My first follow up was postponed because they couldn't verify my insurance in time. Then my doctor moved to Tend Chelsea, so they canceled my appointment instead of just transferring it to that office. Then they told me they scheduled me with the wrong doctor (which wasn't true according to the confirmation I received) and would need to reschedule me. We'll see if this one happens or not.

The staff at my location is absolutely wonderful but the problem and greatest source of disconnect is Tend's answering service. When you call the provided number, instead of being directly connected to your home clinic, you're routed to a remote answering service who then takes charge of questions, problems and scheduling. The few times I've called for an emergency visit due to broken brackets on my breezy braces, I've been unable to book an appointment or have been told to "just put wax over it" and wait for my upcoming scheduled visit. But the folks at my clinic on the other hand have said that that's an urgent issue and I must be seen for it. Fix your system please- let patients have a direct line to their home clinic location! I come from out of town for my appointments and it's frustrating not to get the necessary emergency services for my treatment plan.

This dental clinic, is the worst of the worst. They gave me a biopsy, and over billed the account, eventually giving me back the over billing. They then canceled the follow up appointment because "we did not get the results" the lab said (I called them) that they did not request the results. The customer service was useless as they have been with every cancellation. It becomes a game of phone tag! I called the my previous dentist who I miss dearly, to inquire about the biopsy and whether this should have been done, he said there was no need to biopsy there is no cancer risk with the tissues they biopsied. They are money chasing insurance billing incompetent dentists.

i have had a horrible experience at tend. tend's orthodontist drastically misquoted my treatment time and their customer service team (particularly leadership) has been incredibly rude and dismissive about my concerns. they'll also charge you hidden fees on your orthodontic care >1 year afterwards and refuse to hear your concerns on getting a random credit card charge. don't be fooled by the netflix (which they don't even have anymore) and sunglasses. you're much better off going to an established dentist's office where customer care is actually a priority.

DO NOT USE THIS DENTIST OFFICE. I paid $6k for breezy braces that broke every other week. My teeth are not fixed. The staff was rude, incompetent, and inexperienced. Every time my braces broke I was blamed for it, even while I was barely eating to avoid breakage and missing work to get them fixed. I was connected with someone in the business department and absolutely no good came of it and my situation only got worse. Using this dentist office is one of my biggest regrets and the biggest waste of money I've ever spent. There are plenty of competitive and experienced dentist and orthodontists offices in New York City, who won't scam you. Use one of them.

Great experience all around. Hygienist was very kind and answered all of my annoying questions. She also did an excellent job with the teeth cleaning. The dentist I saw was also very friendly and thorough. Highly recommend the Flatiron NYC location!

This would be -5 if possible. ( I will also try to be brief) All biases aside! I want to start off by saying I love tend and the work they do for the community but this location specifically is the worse experience I ever had in a dentist in my life. I went to get an examination and this is how it went.. 1.took over a dozen x-rays because of the assistant and doctor not being on the same page and lack of experience 2.my surgery took 3x the estimated time (approximately 3 hours)it took so long that I had to get another 3 shots of Novocain to finish. 3. The Dr (who name I won't say, nice lady but not at the standards to my liking ) left a pin in my tooth! Which left it hurting for days on end. 4. This ultimately required more work done and I almost lost my tooth because of it. I had to cut my gums to save my tooth which was not only frightening but extremely painful. 5. When I called tend they tried their best to avoid contacting me back until I spoke to this one person who was a tremendous help(wont say her name ) ( the doctor also stated that they been using their own dentistry products because tend has not delivered what they needed in months $ 6. The tend I went to In order to fix the "what I would call a malpractice "the Dr.(name I won't say) apologized on their behalf on the referral and spoke to the tend powers that be in my regards 7. After 2 weeks I get a call back and an offer of "free tend tooth brush and tooth paste" but they feel like I should not receive any of my refund back even though I gave them in full detail on what happened and noted that I no longer enjoy going to the dentist. Overall I'm very disappointed In tend customer service but they have so many great dentists outside of this location which makes it worth the while.However I would never go to this location EVER AGAIN !!!!, I would rather lose my tooth than visit this location .

Very disappointed. I had an appointment around 10:40 am. I went there 20min before just in case. And the staff there told me my appointment was canceled because the doctor won't come?! No body told me until I was there. They will charge the custom $50 if you want to cancel the appointment before 48h, but won't pay anything if they cancel your appointment before 20min. So, I will NEVER VISIT there again.

This location and Grand Central deserve 0 stars. I made a consultation for breezy braces and booked my braces appointment (earliest was 2 months away) and paid in full that same day. I was given a treatment plan which in itself was hell, because they don't communicate, but I stuck it through because I was so excited to finally get my braces. I had my time off approved (3 days) and I was ready to get my braces. 2 months along and 36hrs before my appointment I received confirmation for my appointment. At 4:20pm the day before my 10:20am appointment; I received a text message that my appointment has been canceled and I would need to call to reschedule. When I call they told me I can be put on a waitlist or their earliest appointment will be 3 weeks away. No one has responded for my request for a full refund. As a patient though if you cancel with less than 24hrs notice they charge you. Absolutely absurd.
