Dr. Tencza (AKA Dr.Lou) grew up in Northeastern, PA. He completed dental school at the University of Maryland College of Dental Surgery, and did his residency at the Washington DC Veterans' Administration Medical Center.
Dr. Lou has been practicing dentistry for over 26 years. He is a family and cosmetic dentist providing excellent dental care in Easton, PA and the surrounding communities. With his genuine kindness and a gentle hand, he has established long-lasting relationships with his patients. He believes in taking care of the 'person' first, then taking care of the 'patient'.
Dr. Lou continues his education by attending conferences and courses conducted by some of the country's leading dental experts, and belongs to various dental organizations, including the ADA, AACD, and the AGD to name a few.
Dr. Lou 's favorite part of dentistry is, in his words, 'The interaction between my patients and my dental team. I truly love my job.' On his free time he reads a lot, he likes to golf, bowl and travel, and spend time with his family and friends and his dog Ella.
He received his Bachelor's Degree in Biology from West Chester University, and completed dental school from Temple University's Kornberg School of Dentistry where he received his DMD (Doctor of Dental Medicine). He continues his educations by attending lectures and courses conducted by some of the leading dental experts in the country.
Dr. Pugliese chose to stay in the Lehigh Valley area because he wants to be part of and contribute to the community that he loves. He chose to work at Tencza Dental because he wanted to be part of a talented team that feels like a group of friends working together.
When asked why he went into dentistry, he explained...'Dentistry is a combination of science, engineering, and art. So I was drawn to it. I knew it 's what I wanted to do from a young age.' What does he like most about dentistry? 'Getting patients out of pain and improving their smiles.'

They are the best ! I had several missed appointments due to health and they accommodated me and every way and got me right back on track! Life takes a toll and need more doctors to understand instead of trying to get money out of you and they did just that!

I had a surgical placement for my dental implant today. First, Kristen is amazing, put my worries at bay by explaining things in detail and making me feel confident about the procedure. She's knowledgeable and very comforting. As for the procedure itself, I was out of the office within an hour and over 12 hours later have not experienced any pain. Dr. Tencza is an amazing dentist and is also very gentle and comforting. If you are looking to have a dental implant, I highly recommend Dr. Tencza and his team.

Simply incredible. The most thorough dental exam I have ever received. Lauren (the hygienist I had for this first visit) is absolutely awesome. Dr. Tencza is thorough, patient with my many questions, friendly, and I instantly knew I was in a chair at my new dental office. The whole staff says hello to you even if you are not dealing with them. Office is very nice. Parking on site, no need to drive around for a parking spot on the street. Absolutely thrilled as I have many issues to be addressed and I cannot wait to get started with the treatment! I do not typically write reviews at all, but had to in this case. I am terrified of the dentist due to past unpleasant experiences. I felt completely at ease here. Call them as they are every bit as good as their reviews state, and then some! Thank you for excellence in dental care.

I've been going to Dr. Tencza for 13 years. The staff is wonderful. He and his assistant took their time and explained everything as they worked. Very updated and clean office. Highly recommend!

I am definitely one of the "reluctant" patients who dreads the thought of going to the dentist. But after a broken tooth I knew I had to make an appt; and since I was not happy with my previous provider, I got a recommendation to try Dr. Pugliese. From the moment I walked into the office I felt relaxed. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. Lauren, my hygienist was extremely gentle, caring, and informative through every step of my visit...from x-rays and photos to cleaning and final suggestions. Dr. Pugliese was also extremely great with his exam and his recommendations for next steps. I have definitely found my next and last dentist and dental office and will no longer fear going back. Never thought I'd ever say the words, but "thanks for a great dental experience!"

Dr. Tencza and his group of professionals are OUTSTANDING! I've moved around a lot because of my job and schooling and have gone to many dentists. And Dr. Tencza, and Dr. Pugliese, the dental hygienists and the admins supporting the practice are my favorite. I've worked with Scarlett (a dental hygienist) for a few years now and I adore her! Also, the front staff is extremely well versed with how insurance claims are processed. My husband and my little son go here and so do many of my co-workers. Love this place!

Very cool, friendly and professional environment. Went in for an emergency visit. Eric S. Pugliese is great, he saw a major red flag during my visit and was able to refer me for surgery literally right after. Overall, amazing and I'm finally hopefully to get back that smile i once had.
