With well over a decade of experience in the dental field so far, Dr. Alvi knows a thing or two about helping patients smile brighter. Developing relationships is always his top priority, and he enjoys providing individualized, dedicated care that leads to not only better oral health, but an improved quality of life. After the completion of his undergraduate degree at the University of Minnesota, Dr. Alvi remained at the same school to pursue his Doctor of Dental Surgery. He also regularly pursues continuing education to expand his clinical skillset, including courses focusing on endodontics, dental implant restorations, childrens dentistry, and cosmetic dentistry. He has advanced training in Level 2 (moderate) oral conscious sedation.
Dr. Alvi is married to his wonderful wife Ayesha, and they have two boisterous boys. Away from work, he really enjoys staying active by running and cycling. He also has a passion for baking desserts! His attention to detail is just as high with creating various treats as it is with his dental work.
In his younger years, Dr. Assemu actually had multiple episodes of severe dental pain that required treatment. While he has known for most of his life that he wanted to one day work in the medical field, those personal experiences caused him to gravitate towards the dental world in particular and many years later, he still feels confident that he made the right decision. This career is rewarding and fulfilling while also giving him plenty of quality time with his family.
Dr. Assemu completed his undergraduate degree at Tennessee State University and then pursued his Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of Tennessee in Memphis. He pursues continuing education as much as possible so that he can stay up to date with the latest techniques and technologies in oral healthcare.
Dr. Assemu is originally from Ethiopia, and he actually didnt speak or understand much English when he came to the United States. Today, he is happy to live in Cedar Park with his wife and their three boys. When he isnt busy inspiring smiles, you can often find him hiking, biking, or playing soccer.
