After getting a bachelors degree in biochemistry at UCLA in 1996, he set out to pursue his dream of becoming an oral surgeon at the Columbia University School of Dentistry, where he earned the U.S. Army Health Professions Scholarship. By 2001, he had completed his DDS degree. He then entered an oral and maxillofacial surgery program at the University of Texas, where he also completed a general surgery internship, earned a medical degree and completed his residency in 2007.
But he did not stop there. Dr. Tsvetov served in Germany as a major in the U.S. Army Dental Corps where he continued to gain experience and grow professionally as an oral surgeon. After receiving an honorable discharge, he joined a private practice in Massachusetts, but soon decided that his heart was in his home state of California, which is how Riverside County got its premium oral surgery practice.
Dr. Tsvetov is a proud recipient of many military awards, including the Army Commendation Medal, a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and a diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. His journey is far from over and he continues to take active part in dental conferences held across the country.

Dr. Tsvetov was raised in Fremont, California, where his family moved from Ukraine. He graduated from UCLA in 1996 with a bachelors degree in biochemistry. From there he went on to pursue his dreams of becoming an oral surgeon.
He completed his graduate education at the Columbia University School of Dentistry with flying colors. During his time there, he was awarded the Health Professions Scholarship from the U.S. Army, which covers the cost of tuition for outstanding students, who are then required to work for the military after graduation. This is where Dr. Tsvetov earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2001.
Next, Dr. Tsvetov completed his oral surgery residency training program at the University of Texas, Southwestern Medical Center/Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas. There he got a deeper understanding of the field of oral and maxillofacial surgery, including cutting-edge methodology, potential complications, medication management, aftercare protocols, and more. He also took the opportunity to complete a general surgery internship. In 2004, he graduated with a medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School and he finished his residency in 2007.
After completing his studies, Dr.Tsvetov got into the U.S. Army Dental Corps, gaining the rank of major. He served as the Officer in Charge of the Heidelberg Health Center Dental Clinic and the Chief of the Oral Surgery Departmentstationed in Heidelberg, Germany. This experience added to his education to shape him into an accomplished specialist in oral and maxillofacial surgery.
He returned to the United States after receiving an honorable discharge from the Army. He first set up his private practice in Massachusetts. Eventually, he decided to come back to his home state of California and establish his dental office in Riverside County.
Dr. Tsvetov is valued by his colleagues for his contributions to the field. He takes part in different conferences on dental health across the United States, where he gets a chance to share his experience and enhance his expertise in oral and maxillofacial surgery.
