After earning his Bachelor Degree in Biomedical Sciences from Auburn University, Dr. Tedford completed his Doctorate of Dental Medicine at the University of Alabama. Dr. Tedford has been practicing family dentistry since 2003 and founded Tedford Family Dentistry in 2007 to serve the Chattanooga, Ooltewah, Collegedale and Cleveland communities. He is a member of a number of professional organizations, including the ADA, Academy of General Dentistry, and the Chattanooga Area Dental Society. He is also involved in the Lookout Mountain Study Club and Ocoee Study Club. Dr. Tedford and his wife Becky have two children, Addison and Sam. They live in Ooltewah and enjoy actively participating in the community. They are members of Brainerd Baptist Church.
Leslie has worked for Tedford Family Dentistry since 2009 as a Dental Assistant. She is an Ooltewah native and a graduate of Ooltewah High School. She earned her certification in dental assisting from Chattanooga State Community College. I enjoy working for Dr. Tedford because he truely cares for his patients and also for my fun loving coworkers. Outside of work she enjoys playing softball in the Collegedale womens league and bicycling with her husband and two children.
Shantelle has worked for Tedford Family Dentistry since 2007 as the Patient Care Coordinator. She earned her certification in office administration from Cleveland State Community College. She enjoys working for Dr. Tedford because of his sense of humor and caring nature. She enjoys spending time with her husband and son at the beach or while boating and hiking. Together her family is active in New Beginnings Baptist Church.
Vanessa earned her degree in Dental Assisting from Chattanooga State Community College. She feels very lucky to work with such a great, fun loving team that works together amazingly to ensure patients receive the highest quality of care. Outside of work, Vanessa enjoys days at the pool or lake, four wheeling, spending time with family, friends, and her pet yorkie.
Kayla is a Dental Hygienist at Tedford Family Dentistry. She graduated from Sequatchie County High School and earned her certification in dental hygiene from Chattanooga State Community College. She is glad to work at Tedford Family Dentistry because the team feels like family and looks out for their patients. Kayla is also a big college football fan and often hangs out with family and friends in her spare time.
Rachel began working for Tedford Family Dentistry in 2011 as a Dental Hygienist. She grew up in Lynchburg, Tennessee and graduated from Moore County High School. She earned her certification in dental hygiene from Chattanooga State and loves living and working in Chattanooga. One of her favorite things about Tedford Family Dentistry is her kind-hearted coworkers. Outside of work she is active in her church, plays the guitar and enjoys days at the lake, country music and her pet maltipoo.

Our son had a dental emergency while a student away from home. Tedford Family Dentistry worked him in, gave him excellent care that required 2 visits. Then were extremely patient, caring and helpful with the billing, insurance and paperwork that visiting an out of network provider creates. We would both recommend them for your dental care.

I recently went through the process of getting full dentures with Dr. Telford. I was very pleased with the product and the staff. Very good experience . I would recommend him to anyone

I haven't been to the dentist in nearly a decade, and needless to say my dental hygiene up until recently has been... lacking to say the least. I was nervous to finally go to the dentist, but the staff was super friendly and non judgmental. The give you a cost estimation for any work you need so there's no surprises. Went and had my first session of periodontal planing and scraping, and even though I was anxious going in, Ms. Norman did a phenomenal job! Close to zero pain, and she didn't drown me, so an A++ to her. Highly recommend this place!

Great Family Dentistry! I've been going to Dr. Tedford for a couple years. I also took my 3 year old son there for his first dentist appointment and they were very patient and good to him. They are conveniently located in Cambridge Square. Dr. Tedford and his staff are professional and friendly. The office is extremely clean and modern. TVs are in the ceiling so you can watch HGTV or Paw Patrol while you get your teeth clean. ;-)

Dr. Tedford and staff are professional, gentle and caring! The office is run efficiently so there is almost no wait time. Dr. Tedford is also generous within the community and he is a great man of integrity. I can't recommend them highly enough!

Staff are friendly, but more important are professional, efficient and effective at providing requested information. Dr Tedford is calm, collected, and direct. Everyone in contact with me has exceeded expectations. This is the most satisfactory medical find for me after twenty or so years of dealing with factory dental practices.

Our whole family (6 of us ~ ages 4-40 something) have been seeing Dr. Tedford and his staff for almost 10 years. He is an excellent dentist, and takes great care in giving us the best possible service. He and his staff are very courteous and always make us feel comfortable. We are so grateful for them!
