Dr. Tom Popp has been providing orthodontic care in Chattanooga for over 25 years. He is one of the most experienced Invisalign providers in the area and was an Assistant Professor of Clinical Orthodontics at Vanderbilt University. He graduated from Hixson High and UTC before his dental education at Emory University in Atlanta. He practiced general dentistry for five years before his orthodontic residency at the University of Washington in Seattle. Dr. Popp loves outdoor activities and spending time with his wife Starr, and their four adult children. Of course, he is thrilled to have his son, Colton, with him at Team Popp Dental.
Dr. Colton Popp joined Team Popp Dental in the summer of 2018 to provide quality pediatric dental care for Chattanooga area families. He graduated from Baylor School and UTC before completing dental school at UT Memphis. Colton and his wife, Leah, traveled to Pennsylvania for his pediatric dental residency at Geisinger Medical Center. He also enjoys outdoor adventures and coaching youth sports. Colton is excited to be back in Chattanooga and practicing with his dad.
Dr. Gill grew up in the Chattanooga area and Soddy Daisy. He attended the University of the South at Sewanee. Upon graduation, he attended Dental School at The University of Tennessee at Memphis. After receiving his dental doctorate, Dr. Gill went on to earn a Masters in Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Sam Gill has been practicing pediatric dentistry in the Chattanooga area since 1969. When not in the office or participating in continuing education, Sam spends time playing tennis, riding motorcycles, boating, and spending time with his seven grandchildren.
Dr. Popp was born and raised in Nashville, TN. She is proud to be a second-generation dentist that was inspired to pursue dentistry after witnessing first-hand the impact that her father had on his community.
Dr. Popp attended Lipscomb University where she received a Bachelor of Science in biology in 2011, graduating cum laude, while balancing her life as a collegiate soccer player. After graduating from college, she then went on to dental school at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, TN. In Memphis, she met her husband, Dr. Colton Popp, who is a pediatric dentist and native of Chattanooga.
After graduating from dental school, Dr. Popp worked as a general dentist at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania while her husband was doing his pediatric dental residency. At Geisinger, she gained experience in treating patients with extensive medical and dental needs.

It was my daughter's first time at the dentist and they let me go back with her and they did an amazing job with her and showing her it wasn't scary. Highly recommend

My daughter has been having issues with one of her teeth and we have had this appt for awhile. Today my mother was taking her and ended up having car issues, I called the office to let them know. Even after me doing so and my mom arriving 19mins late they was going to refuse to see a child who has been having issues. Our pediatrician or even my docs and dentist wouldn't have ever done that. Yes we would've have to wait which is fine but some people travel over 30mins for appts. Just very unhappy especially with one of the office staff at the front desk. Thankfully after I called they said they would see her but just for that tooth and no other work.

My adopted 6 YO son is on the autism spectrum, and has adhd and anxiety disorders/ developmental trauma. A checkup usually ends in a meltdown, but sweet dental hygienist Lou Anne was patient and gentle, and Dr. Popp was so much FUN! My son said he reminds him of Blippi! He had a BLAST! Thank you, Team Popp Dental!!

Dr popp is awesome ....he done surgey on my autistic son's teeth..he is very kind very down to earth..I would gladly recommend him to anyone...he is amazing.....talks to you as if your friends caring patient and just overall very cool dr...

Outstanding! Satisfied with our first visits from beginning to the end. The facility is super clean and organized, the team demonstrate courtesy and kindness all the time. The staff is absolutely amazing! We was referred here for some dental work our current dental office couldn't do. My daughter who is 4 never cooperates for anything at our current dentist office. She went in like it was nothing there and done everything that was asked of her. I have already switched all 3 of my kids here and they love them!!!

The office was clean and very comfortable. The wait time was excellent. All 4 of my children where seen and taken care of. The only thing that I didn't like was that I didn't get to meet the Dr. However, the dental assistant staff was amazing as well as tne front desk staff.

Great staff all around. I have a special needs child and they were wonderful with her, complimenting her "baby" and acting afraid of her plastic bugs, snakes, and rodents. I really like that any questions they have are directed at her before me because of her age, she like to feel "grownup."
