Dr. Lemus was raised by a single mother, and her hardworking, blue-collar attitude has been engrained into his DNA. After graduating from Southeastern Oklahoma State University with a major in chemistry and minor in biology, he worked as a quality control chemist at a biodiesel plant and conducted research at Jackson State University.

He then went on to earn his Doctorate of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS. He is a proud member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Missouri Dental Association, Southwest Missouri Dental Association, Labette Community College dental assistant advisory board, part-time Adjunct Professor MSSU School of Hygiene, Southwest Missouri Representative for new Dentist through the ADA.

In his spare time, He enjoys attending service at College Heights Church with his wonderful wife Chiquita and their son JT. His favorite bible verse and approach to life is 2 Timothy 4:7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. He enjoys traveling and going on mission trips, attending continuing education seminars with his team, and is an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan.

Latasha Vick graduated from Okemah High School in Okemah, Oklahoma in 1994. She grew up active in 4-H showing Suffolk and Southdown Sheep, as well as Angus Cattle. She attended Oklahoma State University where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. Upon graduation, she moved to Memphis, TN. Latasha was employed with Cargill Foods and worked as a Quality Assurance Chemist Team Leader.

Her father jokes she once told him she wanted to be in school forever and that seemed to hold true. After two and a half years as a Chemist, she returned to Oklahoma and earned her Master of Health Sciences in Physician Associate Studies at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. She served as a PA at Mary Mahoney Health Center for five years. Once again, she elected to return to school.

She completed her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree at Meharry Medical College in Nashville, TN. From there she moved to Joplin, MO, and went on to provide dental care to the underserved and those with special needs throughout southeast Kansas as part of the Community Health Center of Southeast Kansas outreach team. She also served as the Dental Director at Community Health Center of Southeast Kansas. Prior to joining Team Dental, Dr. Vick was an associate in a private practice in Pittsburg, KS where she developed a family like relationship with the staff.

Dr. Vick is looking forward to working closer to home and becoming more active in the Joplin community. She enjoys easing those with dental fears, providing education, and helping individuals improve and/or maintain their oral health.

Outside of work, she has 5 of the worlds coolest nieces, one of which will be driving soon. On Sunday morning you may find her volunteering in the Hope City Caf at Hope City Church. Throughout the week she spends her evenings at the gym and will compete in her first powerlifting competition this summer.

Joyce began her dental career in 2001, assisting in a pediatric dental office for over 10 years, moving on to a practice for all ages and finally Team Dental in 2016. She has received certification in basic dental assisting, expanded functions-removable prosthetics, and expanded functions-fixed prosthetics from Ozark Technical Community College, as well as certification for nitrous oxide monitoring from the University of MissouriKansas City.

Although she still assists from time to time, she is now our billing/insurance specialist, and works hard to ensure that our insurance billing codes are up to date and correct procedures codes are submitted to maximize our patients benefits.

Joyce married her high school sweetheart, and together they have a son and daughter-in-law who live in the same town, as well as a grandson who keeps her on her toes! She also enjoys spending time reading, working with her flowers in her yard, and watching her St. Louis Cardinals during baseball season!

Chrystal was raised in San Diego, CA. She moved out to Missouri when she turned 25. Her father bought his dream house in the country, so she decided to give it a shot out here and fell in love with the area!

Chrystal has been in customer service for 19 years and enjoys working with the public. You will always see a smile on her face! Her mission is to give each person she meets a happy and comfortable visit. Chrystal thrives on a positive attitude and progress.

She is happily engaged to her best friend Robert, and they have three beautiful children. Chrystal enjoys spending quality time with her family, painting, and camping. Chrystal looks forward to being a part of the Team Dental family and furthering her career in the dental field!

Heather is the Team Lead, Registered Dental Hygienist. She attended North Central Technical College, Fort Scott Community College, and Pitt State University. She has completed advanced laser training and received certification from the Institute for Advanced Laser Dentistry in New York City, NY. As well as, The Academy of Laser Dentistry in Houston, TX. She is also licensed and certified toadminister Local Anesthesia and NitrousOxide. Heather has a passion for continuing educationand has been in the dental field since 2005.

Heather loves spending time with her family and friends, traveling, downhill mountainbiking, snow skiing, fishing, UTV riding, photography, videography, west coast swing, two step and enjoying a wide variety of different sports. One of her bucket list items is to experience as many National Parks as she can with her daughter.

Brandi was born and raised here in the 4-State area. She graduated from Columbus Unified Highschool in 1999. Shortly after graduating High school she got a job as a dental assistant, then moved onto orthodontics. In 2003 she put her career on hold to raise her twin boys. In 2006 she was blessed with a beautiful daughter. She maintained her stay at home mom title until 2010. She worked at a major retailer here in Joplin as a manager until she was recently laid off because of COVID. If you ask Brandi, her heart has always been in the dental field and she is so grateful to be a part of our team. She is a caretaker at heart and loves helping people feel at ease. Brandi is married to her wonderful husband of 9 years. When she is not attending all her childrens extracurricular activities such as Band, Softball, and Basketball she loves helping with her youth at her church, where her husband is the associate minister.

Reghan was born and raised in Miami, Oklahoma. She graduated from Commerce High School in 2017. She continued her education at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College, where she earned an Associates degree in natural science. She is currently attending Pittsburg State University and pursuing a Bachelors degree in chemistry with a minor in biology. With this degree, she plans on attending dental school in the fall of 2022.

In her spare time, she enjoys being a dog mom to her Australian Shepherd, KC, (Go Chiefs!), outdoor activities, fitness, attending church, and watching sports with her family and friends. Boomer Sooner

Addy is a registered dental hygienist and graduated from Missouri Southern State University in May of 2020 with an associate of Dental Hygiene. She loves educating people and helping them keep a healthy smile. She is excited to be part of a team that provides excellent care to their patients.

She was born and raised in the Seneca area and played a variety of sports growing up with basketball being her favorite. She married her high school sweetheart in May of 2018. They enjoy being with family, whether that is going camping, biking, hiking or just hanging out at home. Disney World is her happy place. The most important part of her life revolves around her faith, she loves serving at church and sharing Jesus with the little ones she teaches. One of her favorite verses is John 15:13.

Madelynn was born and raised in Aurora, Missouri. She spent her life there until moving to the Joplin area last year to start school. She is planning to attend Missouri Southern State Universitys dental hygiene program to pursue a career in dental hygiene in the years to come. She looks forward to meeting all of Team Dentals patients while working beside Dr. Lemus and his hygienists assisting. She is excited about furthering her knowledge in dentistry and starting her career in the dental field. She was always the child who loved going to the dentist and decided at a young age she wanted to pursue a career in dental. Outside of work, she loves spending time with family and friends. They enjoy the outdoors, going to the lake in the summer, and also riding RZRs. She loves the community and is so excited to be a part of Team Dental of Joplin!

Darian resides in Joplin, MO with her daughter; she graduated from Missouri Southern State University dental hygiene program in May of 2021 with an associate in Dental Hygiene. She is certified to administer Local Anesthesia and Nitrous Oxide. She has been in the medical field since 2014 and enjoys helping others be the best version of themselves.

Emily graduated from Diamond High School in 2020. She went on to complete the Accelerated Dental Assisting Academy. Although she is just starting her career in the dental field she is excited to be a part of the Team Dental family. She cannot wait to grow and learn even more every day. Outside of work Emily enjoys spending time with her family and two fur babies Marge and Roscoe.

Laisha was born in Joplin and raised in Diamond, MO. She has always loved helping others to the best of her ability. Laisha is excited to be part of the team and cant wait to meet with you and help anyway she can! Outside of work she is a proud dog mom to her wild boxer, Bailey. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, going to the lake, and living life to the fullest.

Tanya was born in Brownsville, Tx and raised in Commerce, Ok. Her parents moved there shortly after she was born. She graduated Commerce High School in 2015. Tanya loves meeting new people and helping as best as she can. She is very excited to be a part of Team Dental of Joplin! Outside of work she loves spending time with her family and friends. On Sundays she attends her moms church. In the future she plans on moving to the Joplin area.

Our dental practice has been serving families in the area since 1974. In 2011, we suffered a tragedy when our office was destroyed by a tornado, but we rebuilt it in the very same location. When you visit us, you can see some of the reclaimed woodwork that was part of the original structure. We also now have a storm shelter within the practice because of that terrible event, and we hope it will provide patients peace of mind and a feeling of safety when with us.

Team dental was my work home as a dental hygienist for three years. It was a great work environment and if you are a patient reading this, we truly try to listen to you and care for you in the best way we can. I know the dentist isnt everyones favorite place to go, but if you have to go (and you should) this is a great dental team! Dr. Lemus will always listen patiently and take his time with each patient.

Working at Team Dental as a dental assistant was a fantastic experience. I learned so much from my time there as an employee and person. Dr. Lemus and the staff are all so caring and kind people to be surrounded by. In addition, the patients are wonderful! After working here for the past year and a half, I can for sure say that this is one of the most ideal places to work. There isnt a kinder boss or coworkers anywhere! They treated me so well and Im very sad to have had to leave this job due to a move. They were very patient in teaching me things and celebrated with me in my accomplishments! I wish Team Dental all the luck in the world and know they will succeed in anything they put their minds to! It truly was an honor to work here.
