Dr. Ceraso graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 1974 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology. In 1978, he graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine and practiced general dentistry in Leechburg, Pennsylvania for the next 17 years. During that time he also practiced as a staff member at The Central Medical Hospital Facial Pain Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania for 10 years performing extensive dental reconstruction of accident victims, cancer patients, and other facial pain patients. Dr. Ceraso also held a one-year part-time teaching position at the General Practice Residency at The Western Pennsylvania Hospital in Pennsylvania until relocating to Iowa in 1995.
Dr. Ceraso is a member of the American Dental Association, The Academy of General Dentistry, where he is currently qualified for the fellowship exam, The International Congress of Oral Implantologists, and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Academy of Osseointengration, The American Equilibration Society, and The American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine. Dr. Ceraso attended and graduated from the Kois Center, where he has received extensive post-graduate training in treatment planning, implants, periodontics, removable prosthetics, and occlusion.
In addition to the staff position at Central Medical Hospital, Dr. Ceraso also held a staff position at Allegheny Valley Hospital while in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In addition to public seminars, he has lectured extensively to other dentists on temporomandibular joint therapy, dental implants, cosmetic dentistry, and all-porcelain CAD/CAM restorations.
Melanie has an Associates Degree in Nursing and has been with our dental practice since 2001. She likes helping patients gain knowledge of their dental plans to help achieve optimum oral health. When Melanie is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 children. She also enjoys watching her children play sports and cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes.
Julie has been with our practice since 1988, and shes been in the dental field for over 28 years. She received her Bachelor of Science from the University of Iowa. She loves her coworkers at the office of T & C Dental Partners, and she says that many of the patients have been coming to our practice for so long that they feel like family. She keeps her own mouth in tip top shape, making her a great fit for the field. Julie has two children, Sam and Jack, and she loves spending time with them and the rest of her family. She also enjoys cooking, gardening, and spending time with friends.
Michelle attended Kirkwood Community College for her Dental Hygiene Degree and later pursued her Bachelors in Dental Hygiene at UMKC. She loves to educate patients on their oral health and help them understand the importance of taking care of their teeth. Michelle recently just completed her training in becoming an Orofacial Myofunctional Therpist and is excited to incorporate that into our dental office.
Jessica received her AAS in dental hygiene from Des Moines Area Community College. Her own oral health has always been a top priority. She also has a passionate enthusiasm for nutrition, making going into the dental field a natural decision. Jessica loves helping others as a dental hygienist and looks forward to building relationships with patients. At home, her and her husband Keith, care for their three kids and four cats. They love spending time gardening, cooking, and being in nature.
